  • Hey what's up man.. I was wondering if it matters how long the pipe is. Will it affect anything ?

  • Hey i have the exact same car i found out if you take the old resonator box out from under the new filter you can get more air in the filter just look under he bumber and take off the two bolts for that box and it will slide right out but then there is a risk of having rocks fly up thru the hold so just ducktape some mesh over it or sumthing to prevent it :)

  • That looks really nice, but he should black chrome it!

  • sounds nice bro

  • Even K&N use plastic any more..I have a Typhoon intake, and its plastic. .

  • @snake1921 doesnt k&n use a special plastic that stays colder than metal?

  • @MrSort11 I really don't know..I've heard this before, but not sure. I do know they use plastic tho..thats as fare as I know...

  • cherry bomb glass pack?

  • now that must be pretty good. looks sikk

  • what kind of car is this? if you dont mind mind will you make a vid of making the intake an also putting it in your car? I just a 85 crx si but dont know much at all? please....

  • Very clean and it gives a nice sound.

only thing I would consider is something to fasten the tube between the 2 corners to prevent the shaking.

Just make sure that, if your engine moves alot when revving, your filter still can move with it.

  • what is that piping called?

  • @bigshot4444 they sell it at autozone also the couplings that he put together the only thing i see wrong with this set up is theres no heat shield metal or not but the hot air from the engine is still being sucked in the intake also i had a cheap filter k&n filters better and gives a little more air in my opion

  • actually plastic is better than that metal tubbing

  • @parkavenue86, i agree

  • nice intake were did u get it??

  • wtf morons, that's not ram air; where the fuck is it coming in from? it has no open source.

  • Doesnt matter what tubing you use it could be stock, PVC, autozone or an actual brand. It all helps. Same with the actual filter it could be a 29$ spectre performance air filter and it is still going to provide better air flow. I am tired of people saying well its not a k&N it accomplishes the same thing, and you save money. Good looking setup.

  • nicely said

  • word!

  • @parkavenue86

yeah, K&N intake kits are now plastic

I just got an old aluminum intake tube, cut it to size, and used spectre adapters from autozone to make it fit perfectly, and got a free Spectre filter with my autozone rewards points

  • @parkavenue86 i agree with you K&N is great for intakes but i have a weapon r intakeon my 1997 grand am gt and it give me mor HP then i had!! i did replace the filter with a K&N filter after about 3 months becuz those filters are better and it dint change any horse power when i switched the filters!!!!

  • @parkavenue86 pvc works without a doubt but if it gets hot enough it can emmit a very toxic gas for the engine .... thus PVC is not god for an intake setup........to tghe video ownerr ... very nice clean setup you got there ..... for thughs that dont know .... this is whats considered a short ram intake as aposed to cold air, cold air is then you have routed your intake to the outside air witch is a wiser choise for performance

  • @parkavenue86 What about a Cut Stockings as a Filter? :>

  • nice 8 guage wire going 2 your amp ( the blue wire ) on a 1.8 SOHC (single over head cam) honda 99 honda accord correct? y/n? the owner of this video would have that answer I installed an intake for my friends Honda a '99 accord same engine like this I just took the stock intake box / scoop & bracket out which I broke my wrench in the process but took my flex hose & attached it to the stock arm & my old AEM intkae & man does it suck ( a good thang ) the sound is awesome peace
  • haha..thats not 8 gauge! more like 18 gauge wire, the lower the number the thicker. that wire is very small.

  • nah, look @ the video again or go 2 a local stero shop & they will tell you

14 & 16 is used in household wiring & 12 ,8, 4 & 0/1 guage wires are used is car audio A home is AC ( alternet current ) a car is DC ( Direct Current ) plain & simple think b4u say something peace

  • u said 8 gauge wire asshole...thats no way 8 gauge wire learn your wire sizes before you speak! that wire is thin as fuck, 8 gauge is very fuckin THICK

  • ok buddy I install systems I know about amp kits i looked @ it its more like a 12 guage its prob 4 a small 400 watt amp & its not called wire size its Wire GUAGE

THINK & LEARN B4 U SAY SOMETHING U NOOB I bet u dont have a system in ur escort I have 1 in my maxima I installed it myself have a gr8 day peace & no hate comments ( 2 every 1 ) please thank u

  • systems??? I bet you are happy you found someone on youtube to argue with...haha. Dude you are an idiot, I don't care if you installed your own system - great! But the wire is 18 gauge...point blank DONE.

  • Im gonna say it 1 more time its 12 guage wire

18 guage is not used as a power wire 4 an amp maybe 4 a remote line but I dont argue w/ ppl I tell them the truth & keep it real

fine if u want 2 run around w/ ur lil tiny black penis in here & say im wrong then do it all u want just learn ur wire guage's

    b4 u say something , ok sweetheart ?

    2bad & 2 sorry 4 u

    dumb ass Ur the Idiot

  • no its funny because you have 0...asshole..you put your own negative 1's on them

  • ok just 2 clear this w/ u I held 12 guage wire in my hand & after doing my job & found out its 8 guage wire thats in his engine bay so we were both wrong but I was closer 14 guage is prob the size of ur penis yeah 8 guage is 4 small 600 watt amps sorry 4 u that u dont know anything about systems

& I have another account so thats y u have negatives next 2 urs dumb ass

u r a noob u CANT rate ur own comments

  • what the fuck is wrong with you...it's been over a month and you're still responding to the gauge wire comment...you're a fucking idiot. Get a fucking life.

  • OMG, there is a whole page of you two anoracks arguing over wire measurements. Are you for real or what? There are people dying in this world from war and poverty as we speak and all you have to worry about wiring diameter.

You obviously both know a lot about this stuff to even argue in the first place so why don't you both sort out your differences, meet up and wank together over a wiring diagram.

  • Im sorry 4 u that U can actually visualize that , & fuck u & go have some tea

U british ppl are all the same always against americans fuck you & the queen

  • Comment removed

  • Im not american 2 bad u bealieve what u read have a gr8 day peace :)

  • I have nothing against Americans or any other nation for that matter and you say you're American then I've no reason to doubt it. But if you're not then you're not. Right I have to go and drink some tea :) Peace to you as well.

  • nice autozone piping, my bad oreily.

  • no autozone I recognize the $ 29 intake

  • does it make a difference if u use a custom intake hose (like the one in the video) instead of a stoke hose?

  • i meant to say stock hose lol

  • deng mann you have to many clamps. you should've use your stock intake hose it works very nice. take a look at mines. btw. it makes the same sound. it sounds like perf. mufflers huh. anyways nice lil set up you have

  • Nice bro, are they spectre tubes?
