That is incredible!!!!!! I hope you don't mind at all if I look at your designs and just simplify it a whole lot more to create something else. (Basically, getting inspiration from you) This is another amazing video btw.
@shoshiplatypus Don't worry: The list with the links to tutorials and book recommendations is visible for everybody - it doesn't matter, if you have a facebook account or not. Just click the link in the description below the video, right here on YouTube. Best, Peter
This is a BEAUTIFUL paper peacock... one of the nicest I've ever seen! Thank you so much for the inspiration and the links to tutorials on how to create paper pop-ups.
i love how u keep these artworks single and unique. it would be nice to learn but if everyone knew how to make amazing things like these it wont seem as special.
i really lyked it.. plzz can u show hw u made dis.. i m a huge fan of crafty work like dis.. soo plzz m frm india nd here i cnt c those crafty ppl.. so plz show me hw u made it.. plz..!!
@lovegirl4u18 Please understand, that I don't have tutorials for EACH of my artworks. Most of my pop up sculptures are designed to be single, unique pieces. But I think, that I can help you anyways. On my facebook fanpage, I published a list with more than 75 tutorials and some book recommendations. Please search for "Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign" on Facebook. Best, Peter
@lovegirl4u18 There's an out-of-print book called "Pop-up A Manual of Paper Mechanisms" from Duncan Birmingham that you can download from the net. There's another one from the same author called "Pop up design and paper mechanics" that you can buy at amazon.
it sooo nice and fascinating. the best ive ever seen on its category.
dude, sincerely, you dont have to tell the step by step process on this piece of art. its your work, your name and you have to protect trade secrets...
@itspaulgustavson That's funny. Thank you for this comment. It was not my intention to make a witty title. Is it my fault, that the names of the bird, the material and the genre all start with the same letter? If I named the video "card made of thin cardboard, showing a blue bird fanning out its tail in a three dimensional effect", wouldn THAT be be a foolish title? Sometimes it's clumsy to *avoid* alliterations :-) Best, Peter
@BiGGeSTLiTTLeFaN The peacock is a pop up, that I designed to be a single piece – But I invite you to my facebook fanpage, were you can find a list with more than 75 free tutorials for pop up cards. Please search for "Peter.Dahmen.Papierdesign" on Facebook. Best, Peter
Total respect for keeping on with the "one of a kind" bit, however I would think with all the interest that you have of people wanting to know how you do this, that you could come up with a few "open use" designs to share. I think your art is beatiful though, it's just a shame your not teaching tecniques without sacrificing your original one of designs.
@AnneGirlCarrots I already have made a tutorial, you can find it in my youtube channel. And I will do more tutorials in the future. Until then, I invite you to my facebook page, were you can find a lot of links to tutorials for pop up cards from other artists. Please search for "peter.dahmen.papierdesign" on facebook. Best, Peter
That is so amazing! I would love to know how to make it :) On the other hand, I do respect how you dont want to give your plans away :) I draw a lot..and I would feel the same way :)
@rez2109 @cristtonny1 I designed this pop up sculpture to be a single piece of art, so I ask for your understanding, that I don't want to give my plans away. But if you search the internet for "papyromania" or "robertsabuda" you will find many tutorials. Best, Peter
@Roel12345678 Many thanks for your praise! I designed this pop up to be a unique piece of art, so I ask for your understanding, that I don't want to give my plans away.
It is very nice and wonderful. Only I found the language problem with me.I know only some English and mother tongue Tamil only. If you contact me to my e-mail in English, I will learn lot of your work. Kindly contact me on my e-mail to: mathiniraichelvan@gmail.com
