She's a very creative singer, her timing and phrasing are second to none. Her voice itself is unlike any other that iv'e ever heard! It grabs my (hard to get) attention every time. How does she do that!!??...I'm amazed in speechlessness.

Hard to find the words, it was so beautiful. Talk about a confluence of talents, the brilliance of Foster, the words of one of pop music's best lyricist, Carole Bayer Sager, delivered by the incomparable Andrea Bocelli and the enchanting Katharine McPhee. And that dress, my God, is there anyone more beautiful than McPhee. You can forget all the top models and Hollywood starlets, Katharine McPhee for my money is perfection !

SHE WAS GREAT......missing the feeling that some people is talking about is maybe because that was her first time singing with somebody lik MR BOCELli if that was me I would be in panick lol...she did awesome

@chrisven1000 No it wasn't her first time singer with some like Bocellli, in fact she sang with him impromptu of Somos Novios during her American Idol season when he was a guest mentor after David Foster asked if she could do opera. It was she who said she could sing it, and then she started it, he joined in. lol She's got guts, but she is mechanical. During her audition and some of her other performance, including this one, she smiles when it's not appropriate to the words. She's great tho

I love this version... she has a very powerful voice and it is melodious with Mr. Bocelli. To me, her so-called stiffness can be due to nervousness. And who can blame her? I'd be a mess of nerves if I was to sing next to Mr. Bocelli. Dream come true mixed with a "oh-my-God-I'm-so-gonna-blow-t­his-in-front-of-my-hero-and-th­ousands-of-people".

I don't understand how you guys weren't moved by her performance or say she wasn't feeling the song. I know she is no Heather Headley or Celine Dion but I thought it was so moving and sweet how she was staring at Andrea the whole time, holding his hand, smiling, and singing her heart out. She has a beautiful voice. However, she's very "mechanical." In other words, she doesn't "live" the song, which is the test of a true singer.  Andrea makes you feel the song. He is exquisite!!

beautiful. Sometime I think that Kat is so trained by her mother -- she needs liberty to be herself adn that she will be "more full" with age and experience as she finds herself. She does beautiful -- but I almost think she needs personal liberty... a little something. :)

I didn't know who she was when I listened to this, but I could tell she still misses her true self.

It wasn't much feeling for the song while performing, I usually get goosebumps when I hear pieces like this + alot of feeling behind the voice, didn't get it by this version.

Don't take me wrong, she did good, but with a little more feeling it would speak more to me!
