  • In 1996 I heard this song by Paul Hardcastle and I could absolutely relate to the words on this beautiful song to his Mother. My Mom passed away that year and she was a very spiritual person upon hearing this song I just absolutely cried my heart out and had dealt with my own grief for over a year. What you cannot say in words this song will say it for you. Though she is gone I remember her everyday of my Life. Thank you Paul for a beautiful tribute to your Mom. Enjoy life it is short.

  • I JUST LOVE THIS SONG, I CAN RECALL WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER AND EVERYTIME I LISTENED TO THIS SONG MADE ME CRY, THEN I LOST MY DAD AND SOME OTHER ONES WHICH MADE ME REALIZE HOW SHORT LIFE CAN BE. PAUL, GREAT VOICE, SWEET, SOFT, CALLING TO REFLEXTION...GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR INSPIRATION!!!

  • Oh, I love this song.....such a catchy chorus with such a strong vocal. Paul, is this really your channel???? I have to tell you that I was completely obsessed with the song "It Must Be Love" back in the day, I love that little instrumental part in the middle , I think it's from "Summer Breeze" and I love Jaki Graham.....God bless you

  • My dad played used to play this song back in '94 in the car when all of us used to head from NJ to Maryland for vacation. I was 5 then, but I really liked this song. My dad died in February 2009, and when I started organizing his music collection a number of weeks later, I came across this song, and I started crying, because it reminded me all too well of the times he used to play it.

RIP Daddy, "You will never be forgotten"

  • Fabulous song...Absolutely and definitively nice.....

You May Be Gone is a perfect example of putting beautiful words to beautiful music! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with the world Paul.

  • Dear Paul, I think you are a genius! Your Music and lyrics and the way you dance are A#1. God Bless your Mother and Wayman and his family and you! I chanced on this song a couple years ago, and it says alot!!!~~~ Ive lost alot of friends too,,, in fact I went to a service today and something the preacher said was " don't think of today as the first day of the rest of your life,,, think of it as the last day of the rest of your life" nobodys promised the next min. so say those 3 little words

  • You make music food for the soul

  • I lost my Mum way back in 2001 but miss her always. Sitting here blubbing like a baby. Thank you Paul, beautiful music.

  • I Just LOVE This TUNE,So TOUCHING !!!

  • I've had a lifelong love of music but have to say that your music is almost heavensent. Most of your work aims straight at the human heart and you hit the mark most of the time--and this elevates you far and away beyond other artists. Our world is a better one for you being in it and crafting such touching music for others to enjoy. Tribute is posted separately for your Mom. (-:

  • Mr. Hardcastle(Paul): You know, your Mom in Heaven is so very proud of you and all you are doing to bring a little beauty to this maddening world. You were blessed by God with your Mom--and He blessed you with your talent.

  • This song is clearly...Live,love,life and Laugh....A Lifetime is just a blink of the eye and then "Eternal Peace",to all passed love ones of everyone throughout "MOTHER EARTH".

  • great song. there is a heaven where loved ones await. :-)

  • In Memory of Amber Alvino love brandi

  • This song is lovely, but with all my good wills I cannot stand it like I cannot stand the thought that once upon a time I have to say good bye to many people I love, especially my parents. Enough said, I already feel bad just thinking about it!!!

  • Today is the first anniversary of losing our Mom, I still sing this song every once in a while......hope she is listening.

  • My grandpa died just two years ago around christmas. We thought he was going to make it another year but he didn't.I wished I could've played this song at his funeral. ='(

  • This is such a beautiful song - I cry every time I listen to it. The words are so perfect for anyone's loss.

  • Don't feel sorry for his passing, Wayman got it right. Death is just a Gateway to our Heaven Creator. All of us have to go thru that same Gate. God is Good.

  • What to say, my grandmother has died and thinking that in one day I have to say good bye to one of my closest friends makes me cry lonely nights.

  • lost my father 23 Dec 2002 To heart failure. I miss you dad and I love you.

  • Sorry for you lost PaulHardcastle19, Laur387. I wish these diseases didn't plague us either. Be strong through these hard times y'all.

    ClownBot00, One Love.

  • My uncle just passed at age 61 from prostate cancer two weeks ago. Ironically, he loved this song, and fittingly we used it during the slide show for his memorial service which was this past Sunday. I miss my uncle dearly, and I just wanted to say thank you for putting into music the words which are too difficult to express at this time.

  • fantastic song choice...
