Actually, all betas of Win98 used the 95 sound except 2.1 and 3. Beta 3 is actually the 98 sound, and so is 2.1.

Windows 93 is Windows 95 alpha 0.3, made that up :P
Windows 94 does not exist.
Windows 95 - well, it exists.
Windows 96 does not exist.
Windows 97 is a version of Windows 95 and also the name of a early beta of Windows 98.
Windows 98 exists.
Windows 99 is Windows ME, or Windows 98 Third Edition.

Win97 can be (real) because today is Win98 Win98 and it may be Win97 but the project was longer in testing state as Microsoft wants.

@thevistacustomizer Windows 97 is actually another name for Windows 95 OSR2.1/2.5 and the Memphis builds made in 1997.
