As for modern-day applications of religion, I will agree that it does not look very attractive, which one could blame for dogma. to debunk Zeitgeist the movie would be to debunk their 220 page pdf file which is sourced and has been thoroughly validated. The youtube "debunking" brings up several points in which there is obvious room for debate in terms of ambiguity. Peter joseph's work is completely legitimate. Don't draw a conclusion unless you've seen all the facts. Keep a mind that's open to everything and attached to nothing. Condemnation without investigation is the highest form of ignorance there is.

As for modern-day applications of religion, I will agree that it does not look very attractive, which one could blame for dogma. In watching Zeitgeist, I personally had a hard time believing so many lies could be crammed into one film. Zeitgeist claims that Jesus and Horus were sun gods that were worshipped by three kings, had 12 disciples, and were crucified, among other claims. Contrary to the misinformation in Zeitgeist, the reality is that the Egyptian god, Ra, was the sun god and Horus, was a sky god. Moreover, there is no ancient witness in antiquity that claims that the god, Horus, had 12 disciples or crucified.

I'm watching no more than a minute of this because I know your criticism is flawed. The Zeitgeist is in no way similar to Marxism, or any -ism at all, because The Zeitgeist Movement wishes to implement the world's economy on resources, not money.

Every criticism of Zeitgeist I've seen is so cryptic and hangs on spooky symbolism they think the film is subconsciously portraying. Complex lines are drawn to attempt to link it to something nefarious that takes large leaps in logic to arrive at. What upsets me the most is that the simple, clear message that Zeitgeist and the Venus Project tries to convey- to just start behaving as an intelligent species- makes many people feel threatened. Yes, fundamental change is scary, but it must happen

They give no details on the most important things such as rights and ethics. They viciously attack Christianity. They propagate the most ridiculous economic fallacies. They blame the free market for crimes committed by the state. Etc. But you can't get them to explain anything. All you get are silly promises of utopia.

The Venus Project is merely named after the town in Florida is a very near to (its acreage being, if I'm not mistaken, outside the municipality itself...): VENUS, FL. Nothing to do with the planet Venus (at least not *per se*), and certainly not having anything to do with Satanism or Luciferianism...(though it is, as far as it goes, more-or-less neo-technocatic...)
