@sdstone233 About as easy to clean as a blender. Leave the stuff on it too long and it'll be more difficult. Rinse it off really good after use and you're 90% done. Have to be extremely careful around the blades.
@moophoto How is the potato prepared? My dad bought a steel 1 of those and tried it with a sweet potato but it was really hard to cut through. It wasn't cooked or anything. . . and there was no tutorial manual on how to do so.
@Sinkutzsar It sounds like you are asking about another mandoline slicer since this one does not come in stainless, just plastic as pictured. I just washed the potato under running water and then ran it through the Oxo above.
@Sinkutzsar I don't... I have a feeling that if you did that it might make it harder to get clean cuts because it would soften the item you're trying to slice. For instance, soft tomatoes don't work well with the Oxo.
I just purchased this Mandoline Slicer today. I honestly didn't realize it was rated so well. There were a few in the store, but this one appeared to be the best.
@VinnieSutra I had been looking for one for a while, and have tried a few (nothing over $100 mind you). This was the best of em by far. Be extra careful as the blades are really sharp!
Is this unit easy to clean? Thinking about getting one thanks for the good video.

@AbstractMan23 I give it thumbs up (if it wasn't already obvious). Used mine the other day to slice up onions for some Mexican food.

@moophoto Oh. .. So I don't have to boil/warm it up before I start slicing?
