2 12's. 2 8inch subs would make more bass than a 16 inch sub [there sizes put together] of the same model. think of it this way, if you had a 120watt incendecent bulb, and 2 60watt bulbs, which would make more light? the 60watts because theres 2of them. they still outpreform the one 2wice the watts because of the way all the statistics multiply diffrently.

1... The BMW has a very nice electrical system and all the factory wires are of a high gauge already so no need for the big 3 upgrade, and a decent alternator stock too.. My headlights dimmed less with 2 15's running like hell, compared to the average honda/nissan/mitsu running a basic 12"

They are CEA-2006 compliant so their RMS rating is accurate. Sony amps are over rated by MAX power, but they are still good amps. Their MAX rating being over twice the amount of their RMS rating doesn't mean they suck bro. No amp sucks, but what does suck is the price people pay for certain amps.

sony amps are good, the newer ones anywayz, and they don't break at all. I have used 4 amps made by maxxonics and all have had some sort of issue. I have also used 8 sony amps and all of them are going strong, never broke down, i even accidentally bridged the positive and negative battery wires on the sony xplod xmd-9001gtr and it was fine.

Also they cheap as dirt. Yuh can get em for like 130 bucks for a CEA 900RMS amp.

No, in the recommended enclosures, with a kx 1500.1, the kickers will be way louder, again kenwood is crap, they were the best 20 years ago, not now, kicker amps are way higher quality and are more accurately rated. Type r's arent louder than L7's, neither are the new Alpine type x's, experience speaking, they have been consistently 1.5-2 db lower on the term lab

Thanks guys. I'm not sure of the year of the subs, but i think they are 2001.. Unfortunately I blew them out a few months ago and have since replaced them with two 15" Kicker L7's.. Will post some vids of them.. And the new setup is facing the rear and it rattles like a mofo.. the 12's facing the front were totally silent as far as rattling goes.
