  • this is a very good version of a very good song.

  • i'm a proud desendent of robert e lee love this song

  • I urge you to read "The Real Lincoln" by Tom DiLorenzo. The free nation of sovereign states our founders envisioned and gave their lives for was killed by Abraham Lincoln and his war. He had to kill the idea that the states were sovereign and defeat the free-willed south in order to begin building this monstrosity we see today. Liberty died in 1865. P.S. Say it all you want, but the war had NOTHING to do with slavery.

  • What the fuck! 1:39-1:50

  • @Bynkers83 the rebel flags about southern pride nowadays.

  • @Porty1119 dude i got a liberal middle school my whole grade is brainwashed. In the only confederate. I.was called a racist for a couple of jokes and a confederate bandana. It ain't right. I live in the south. Whole life, parents cone from Europe and even they're rednecks. American by birth southern by grace of G-d.

  • Shout out from a Jewneck in Florida. Rebel forever, and proud patriot.

  • I go to an IB (read: ultraliberal) high school and we've got about a half-dozen people who go gonzo Confederate against the Man. The IBO is evil, as is the UN. The Confederacy is the only hope we have for freedom. American by luck, Southern by the Grace of God!!!!

  • I live in new york and I hate our government and all politics..this country needs to be ran like it was with the founding farthers where it wasn't just about money it was about living and enjoying life..what reallt pisses me off is trying to take "under god" out of the pledge..everyone take out some cash and look what it says on it " in god we trust"..

  • @86LiftedK10 well im not an American, But i can see where your coming from there are good and bad in all eras of politics,I am 23 i am Australian and I agree with The Lyrics the god and guns album 100 per cent. Why should we change western culture for Illegals and the middle east, if you dont like the freedoms that our country's offer, they need to remember the hell holes they came from. This is some of the greatest music of all time.

  • a great cd

  • yeah all the ladies excuse me, but this song is written by real men exclusively for real men. you will all understand some day.

  • i am not sure whether the play in imagery just lends itself to the dixie land

but in no way have i been persuaded that it was the artist intent to continue any of the many injustices against the afro americans...

i highly doubt it, but there it is , a band found its audiences...

i thought these were just fun loving, hard rocking florida boys that wanted to throw around their long hard.

Simple Man was really kinda them in a way...

    Am I wrong here ???

  • Awesome!! Fantastic editing!!!

  • The confederacy were people who knew when it was high time to leave the firmer great country of the USA their beliefs should still be out there because with Obama and giving tax payer money to our enemies I hate that Muslim we call a president ruining our country ruining other countries I don't wanna be part of his nation ( not an anarchist)

  • I liked the version the guy made as a tribute to Brigadier General Stand Waite, unfortunately he took it down.Leader of the Cherokee nation and the last confederate general to stand down in the field 2 months after the war ended.

  • Alright guys, i love this song. My 2 great grandfathers faught for the 12th and 13th south carolina infantry. But this THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN shit needs to stop. The war Ended 150 years ago. NOBODY wanted the war in the first place. Yankees wanna tell us what to do Oh fuckin well. FUckem. They want some well kick there ass. But we dont need to be startin bullshit. You dont see the Yanks sayin the Union will rise again. Even if they did when the CSA lives on in our hearts.

  • @Shadowsoldier12 i was called a racist and not a southern boy, the day i went to school in my rebel bandana, and i am proud of being born in florida, and my school is full of liberals, and apparenttly yankee supporters, so i say the south will rise again, cause with obama it seems like there will be another civil war, screw them yanks

  • @Kahunabro1997 I agree with you on this Bullshit about the rebel flag bein racist, its BULLSHIT. and yes there might be another civil war but it has nothin to do with what went on 150 years ago. Dont get me wrong. i was born and raised in south carolina. Iv never beeen to a northern state. But i know that we need to stop raisin hell about somethin that happened 150 years ago. and with the liberal thing i fuckin hate polotics. eather way the south was gonna be liek the north if the CSA stayed.

  • One of the songs that I want at my funeral

  • If you didn't have money to pay your bills in the days of old they would slap you in CHAINS NO MATTER THE COLOR or Prison. What you think both sides would think to look at this country now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Miss setting and talking with ya at the bar in Butternut Wis you died riding your Harley last of the four in the picture of you and your friends hanging on the wall of the bar. RIP BROTHER!!!!!

  • 1:44...I THANK U SSSOOO MUCH

  • Im swedish i would support south

  • @davidlaa882011 nice

  • @davidlaa882011 You have our thanks,

Dixieland was driven to her knees, she saw her children murdered and her land was scorched by fire and stained by blood.

But Dixie was not destroyed, the South is still very much alive, we were not exterminated, and our culture was not erased.

We are more prosperous then ever, we can live without the USA, but the USA can not live without us.

  • @TexanfromTennessee The north also outnumber the south

South: ca 9mil Soldiers: ca 1mil

North: ca28mil Soldiers: ca 2 mil

  • @TexanfromTennessee The north also outnumber the south

South: ca 9mil Soldiers: ca 1mil

North: ca28mil Soldiers: ca 2 mil

god bless the south and europe

  • @davidlaa882011 Very true the north had outnumbered us by far.

God Bless the South and Europe, and God Bless you sir.

  • @TexanfromTennessee God bless you and may god be with you

  • Great song !

  • @Kahunabro1997 more blacks actually faught for the south than the north =P

  • @skoalrocks57 Umm Im as pro Confederate as you get, but No more blacks fought against the south lol

  • isnt it ironic that there were black men holding the rebel flag

  • @Kahunabro1997 Not really many blacks both freed and slaves fought for the Confederacy.

  • God Bless Dixie and Georgia =)

  • The Civil War may not have been entirely about slavery but I am of the opinion that it is a good thing that Slavery was ended and it as inevitable that it would happen. Out of genuine and true curiosity and as a Northerner by birth but Southern by genetics (my Dad is from Alabama), what was the war truly about (aside from the normal bull of property and power)

  • @BoromirGurl26

The right for man to govern himself.

It all boils down to that.

It goes by many names; states rights, independence, self government, freedom, liberty, and many more. But it all means one thing: The supreme right for a man to make his own decisions, and to be free of any "higher authority". (Other than, of course, the Lord)

  • @TheBoberton Thanks I really appreciate the answer sans criticism (too many critics out there LoL)

  • 1 of the best solos ever

  • WOW.....what a great tune!!!! Though this vid shows "back in the day" wars and the way of living...it could pertain to any one of us now today...think about it! My grandpa, your grandma, or a neighbors aunt could be a rebel, WE ALL ARE in a certain way. We fight to live and we see so much tragedy that we think we can't handle it but we do and THAT my friends makes us rebels through and through! CHEERS PEOPLE, NEVER STOP LIVING!!!!!

  • My great grandfather was a private in the 41st Tennessee he was in g company

  • You rock my brother.

  • Great song & video, Prior to the 1800's every great society in history utilized slavery, & they could not have accomplished the geat things they did without it, if u were not a slave owner then chances r u were a slave & race had nothing to do with it. The Souths economy depended on slavery & when the union abolished it, the south had little choice but to secede from the union, after the war all southerners black & white suffered greatly for decades after, and u ask why the south seceded.

  • south will rise again white power

  • slavery was how it was its as simple as that it wasnt personal

only 6% of southerners owned slaves according to the US census in the years leading up to the Revolution.

people keep looking at the past at the wrong angle

we now know that slavery was wrong but in the 1800s we did not learn that yet

even if the south did fight for slaves

its not for reasons the north would have you believe

    we needed slaves to survive

our entire economy was based around slavery

  • this song is one of the best songs ever wrote and the confederation wasnt only white and this flag is what my great granddad fault for he lost his leg an lived he told storys of fighting next to blacks that was slaves they fault for there freedom as wel as the whites so we could live the way we wanted to an the confederate flag is a symbol of a diffrent way of life in my point of view a better way of life so keep preachin lies go back to shool an do some research. the southern pride wil live on

  • haha fuck the north the south is the place to live

  • this video speaks volume everybody needs to watch this. America needs more rebels today. A government who taxes its citizens to death. Tells us what to do, where to sleep, where to eat puts its greasy hands in every paycheck just like England and Lincoln did and for who China? Iraq? Oh Yea its time for ole jonny reb to roll out his grave and fight the communist dump this nation has become. we vote and nothing changes its time for unity against insanity in washington.

  • This song is made for all of the soldiers who felt for FREEDOM respect "The Rebels"

  • @tookooshty

Tell that to the man who thought up the Corwin Amendment. Also tell it to it's biggest supporter (Mr. Lincoln).

(The Corwin Amendment - An amendment to the United States Constitution that would have protected slavery in the US FOREVER.)

  • @tookooshty

And I find hilarious the fact that you think he took two years to pass "the law" (The Emancipation Proclamation (A desperate measure by Lincoln to prevent European nations from entering the war)) when his congress by 1862 would have been made up completely of northern men. I thought the northerners were the "good guys" who wanted to end slavery? Oh right, quite a few northerners residing in the border states owned slaves, too.

Guess most people miss out on REAL history.

  • @TheBoberton Yeah a lot of the uneducated people think the war was entirely about salvery. I think in all reality it was mostly about how the country would run. Southerners wanted a confederacy, with high states rights, not unlike the EU. The whole slavery debacle would have eventually been brought up anyways, but it was more or less a tactic to get slaves to stop fighting against the northerners. After all, the slaves and ex-slaves who lived in the south were fighting for their homeland too.

  • @TheBoberton

nice to know i'm not the only one out there who knows the truth. it wasn't about ending slavery. lincoln just knew he couldn't win the war w/o the help of the slave population. i even found a quote by lincoln saying, "if i could end this war, without ending slavery, i would."

  • @TheBoberton Wikipedia has a great article about this.

  • @TheBoberton Lincoln never had the intention of freeing slaves, personally he detested slavery but his main concern was to preserve the glorious union. The south wanted to expand slavery to the west but Lincoln wouldn't allow it. He even told the south they can keep their slaves if they stayed in the union. And the Emancipation Proclamation was to further tear apart the south because slaves would flee the south, it didn't even apply to slave states that stayed in the union.

  • @TheBoberton They do because the liberals write all the history books for schools and they twist things their way. In my US History class a few years ago they tried to say that Reaganonmics was a complete failure, but I'm in CA so i guess that's to be expected.

  • @tookooshty

I would also like to add that the EP only freed the slaves in Southern controlled areas, meaning any in areas previously captured by the north they were SOL (As well as in the border states).

  • God bless both sides fighting for what they believed in, that says a lot.

  • They almost won. Despite the sheer numbers of the north. Had it not been for Robert E. Lee's pride they would have destroyed the yankee army at Gettysburg. But at the same time, they wouldnt have done as well they they did without him. What makes the civil war so tragic is that both sides of the battlefield were good at what they did. Thats one of the reasons it was so bloody.

  • @ThePeracha where was the belittling? he or she is just stating a possible fact (i dont know for sure if its true or not) and they have the right to do that. FREEDOM AMERICAN haha WHOOO GO GMC!!!!!!

  • go confederacy!!

    i <3 slavery!!!!

hahh really how can someone so main stream as skynyrd have a confederate flag at there concerts

  • @HandsOfSugar cuz Skynyrd dont give 2 fucks what theyre supposed to do and what theyre not. they are their own people and practice FREEDOM the AMERICAN way!

  • @HandsOfSugar slaves have nothing to do with the south the north had slaves to an aberham linkon had some to

  • @HandsOfSugar because theyre from florida

  • @HandsOfSugar Are you really that big of a leftist sheep? Only little Liberal puppets believe that the Confederate flag has anything to do with slavery.

  • @HandsOfSugar because most people know there premoteing the true meaning of the flag

not that its a symbol of racism but a symbol of resistance to government and a symbol rebellion in general

  • guitar genius

  • Great song

  • @JakeThaSkater

Yep, you see correctly. Black men do and have fight and have fought on the side that is right.

Look up a certain HK Edgerton.

When you know the true history it doesn't look ridiculous at all.

  • great song, and south accent is badass.

  • The South Will Rise Again! Greatings from Germany!

  • @Skratchyo8 ahhahaah

  • @JDilla2812 ????

  • @Skratchyo8 its just funny that you are talking about southern American pride, but ur from germany

  • @JDilla2812 Oh i see. My Dad is from Illinois and the first 8 years of my life i was in Illinois. I like the pride, the honor and the ethical values ... the livestyle of course too.

Illinois is my homeland, it´s in my heat - germany is not.

  • @JDilla2812

    Most German immigrants moved southwest.

  • The north is just pissed off that they have no heritage. We southerns have a strong proud history. I know what blood flows through my veins and it makes me proud to be the man I am today. The people here still know what honor, respect, and a hard work is. We pour our sweat and blood into supporting our families. It seems all most northerners can do is ask for a hand out.

  • this is when the confederacy tried to forcefully take federal property's in their states (ie. Fort Sumter) that started the war ( April 12, 1861) and Lincoln sent volunteer troops to take back control the federal property that the confederacy had taken. the war did not become about slaves until September 1862 when the Emancipation Proclamtion was given by Lincoln. At first the war was states rights and federal property control.

  • Here is what happen to start the war for ones that dont know.

South Carolina declared sucession from the union first and was followed by six other states to establise the conferderate states by 1861. The reason for it was because Lincoln didn't want new states to be allowed slavery (ie. the sucession) The south sent serval delegations offering to buy federal properties in there states and a peace with the union but Lincoln rejected them saying conederacy wasnt a legeal government.

  • I have travel all over this land and I will always have a drink for EVERY solider in the great conflict!

  • Sorry Lincoln did own slaves and only gave the war the label of reason to free them as their cause if you know anything about war it is given many reasons and purposes usually none of which are true reasons.

  • This song is awesome. I wish I could go back in time and do my part to stop the war.

  • YANKEES RULE

  • @mani1639 Yankees dont rule anymore friend if there was ever a war between the south and the north. The north would get their asses kicked .75 % OF THE MILITARY BASES ARE IN THE SOUTH AND EVERYONE IN THE SOUTH OWNS GUNS . You liberal pansy asses up north want to get rid of guns remember.

  • @worseto

LOL...And a large portion of the people living in the South today have Northern roots, and there's a lot of people in the US Military who aren't from the South.

Guess what? We've got guns too.

I grew up in a state (PA) with one of the highest concentrations of private gun ownership in the nation.

Seems to me, y'all made the same mistake of underestimating the rest of the country back in '61, and paid dearly for it.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage Well you have to ask yourself why those people in the north moved , they will tell you like my yankee neighbor who is a friend. The cost of living in the north is out of site. They changed their roots because the northern laws of commonwealth do not work. it is that simple and those folks really dont like the north and they will let you know it. ABE LINCOLN FAILED.THE SOUTH WAS RIGHT AND WASHINGTON D.C. WAS WRONG. There are some good rebs up in your state.

  • @worseto

Most move South for the weather.

Cost of living where I grew up in PA is lower than here in South Carolina

After seeing what the South is really like, I regret making the move. The Union didn't fail. The USA became the wealthiest, most powerful, and freest nation on earth between 1865 and 2000.

Southern conservatives were in power during the USA's decline over the past ten years. Time to take the Republican party back from Jim Crow Democrats.

  • i disagree 90 percent of the wmds are in the north

  • Still think it was all about states rights?

"Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth."

    Alexander H. Stephens,

    VP of the CSA, 1861

  • people sucked into the propaganda...it was a war of states rights...sound familiar

  • @sssshark45

If it was a war for states rights, then the South should have allowed new states to vote on the slave/free issue.

If it was a war for states rights, then the CSA should have left Western Virginia, East Tennessee, and Northern Alabama remain in the Union, as its citizens wanted.

If it was a war for states rights, then the CSA should have left Colorado and New Mexico territory join the Union, as they wanted to, instead of invading them, and trying to force them into the CSA.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage If it was a war for emancipation, then the northern troops shouldn't have burned down Georgia, raping and killing slaves the whole way.

  • @TheBoberton

    Lost Cause fantasy.

  • Keepin it flyin. Fightin terrorism since 1861. DEO VINDICE

  • @Mctaggart6412

Union Army...defeating domestic terrorism since 1861.

  • (2) Unfortunately, we place our 21st century logic & values on a war fought in the middle of the 19th century. Southerners truly believed God was on their side, which along with blind patriotism, kept an army that had >1,000,000 soldiers total in the field for four years. If one reads the actual written words of the soldiers what emerges is dedication to duty, patriotism, love of family & homeland.

  • (1) It should be remembered that slavery was a tertiary issue at best when the war started. It was much more a war of sectionalism, an aguarian society against an industrialized one, two separate populations with different european roots, patriotism towards native state rather than national state, plus taxation played a major role. Most Confederate soldiers had no real interest in the issue of slavery and fought for these other myriad reasons.

  • @cctank58hwt

"the South fought on account of the thing we quarreled with the North about. I never heard of any other cause for quarrel, than slavery".

    John Singleton Mosby...CSA

  • @cctank58hwt

Except for the tens of thousands who deserted when they realized who and what they were actually fighting for.

Twenty Slave Law pretty much let the cat out of the bag.

  • hey ty 4 the video were ya'll live and damn the north long live south ya'll have good night goodolerebel1

  • We will rise again, but not by violence. I know I"ve been hyper and said "start the revolution," before but the God's honest truth is peaceful revolution, like that of Martin Luther King against a corrupt government is what the south needs, and the whole country needs. And the south has already risen again. If there was another Civil War, with our new industry and military bases, we could put up a good fight.

  • DEO VINDICE !!!!!!!!!

  • I am wondering how many of you would actually show up with a rifle if we rose again.

  • I'm sorry, not "if", when. When we rise again. Deo Vindice

  • @TheBoberton 5.56, 7.62x39, 7.62x51 nato 9 that i konw will be there

  • @TheBoberton i will be there with AL behide me just give me one chance to chase thouse damn yankee out of AL long live the south

  • @goodolerebel1 Deo Vindice.

  • @TheBoberton

Way more will show up to defend the USA. Why don't you give you it a try. I'd really enjoy getting a crack at neo-Rebs in real life...and for keeps.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage Don't matter if more show up on your side, rednecks are the ones who tend to be snipers in militias. So, it doesn't matter if you show up with more, we shoot more accurately.

  • @TheBoberton

Wow you're not the sharpest tool in the shed. The people coming to defend the USA will be rednecks...just like the ones that make up Union regiments like the Pennsylvania Bucktails. There's plenty of dirty rebs pushing up daisies at Gettysburg courtesy of the Bucktails.

BTW...one of the top US snipers in Iraq and Afghanistan isn't a redneck, he's a Bostonian from the suburbs.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage I am pretty sure my great great grandfather took out some of the bucktails. He died with his saber in hand and a rebel yell on his lips. And southern rednecks don't enlist in your filthy imperial army.

  • @TheBoberton

According to one Southern historian, white Southern rednecks made up 1/4 of the Union army. The most conservative estimate is 120,000.

    LOL...Ever hear of Sherman's Alabamans?

  • @UnionStatesHeritage Ever heard of the black Confederates? Ever heard of the men who came from the north to fight for the south? Ever heard of the Irish Confederates? Ever heard of the German Confederates? Ever heard of the British Confederates? Men came from all over the world to fight for the Confederacy. 1/4th, so did you ever enlist any northerners? Or was it just southern men and conscripts right off the boats from other countries?

  • @TheBoberton

Black Confederates were slaves who in one way or another "fought" under coercion.

Far more diversity of nationalities fought for the Union. Many of them were NOT conscripts...but most Union soldiers were from farming families, and were native born. Mine certainly were

  • @UnionStatesHeritage Yep, forced to fight

    37thtexas(DOT)org/html/BlkHist(DOT)html

    forrestsescort(DOT)org/blacks(DOT)htm

    stonewallbrigade(DOT)com/articles_black_confeds(DOT)html

    Enough said.

  • Comment removed

  • @UnionStatesHeritage I am going to love taking out American imperialists.

  • @TheBoberton

A good start would be to turn the gun on yourself.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage You first.

  • @TheBoberton

Better yet, why don't you come to SC, and try to take me out yourself.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage Come on down south, like your carpetbagger of an ancestor. I am in Florida.

  • @TheBoberton

Nope, you're the one who is so eager to fight Yanks, you can come to me. Besides I want the pleasure of watching you and your girl friends try and drive me (or any other Northern transplant) out of my home, and out of the South....or force us to submit to some new Confederate regime...as if.

Might not be a bad idea for ethnic Northerners living in the South, to quietly start forming up our own militias, so we are prepared to defend ourselves.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage I never said I wanted to kick yankees out. And the Confederacy is not a regime, it is a republic. And go ahead and form up militias, I have no problem with that. Just don't try to stop the Confederate army. Militias are aloud according to the constitution of the U.S. which is what the Confederate constitution is based off of. But look at it this way, when we rise again, if you decide to pull a gun, you had better be ready to use it.

  • @TheBoberton

That's exactly what you support. The CSA was a fucking regime. Not a legitimate government.

Yeah dude, believe me, there will be plenty of people trying to stop the new Confederate "army" if such a thing should ever occur. Yep, I'll be pulling a gun, and using it on the first Reb that makes the mistake of getting in my line of sight...and I'll have lots of true American patriots backing me up.

Stop talking about it and do it.

Rise again. See how that works out for ya.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage And you'll have my rebel MN rifle pointed right between your eyes. Trust me, a 7.62 is quite a bit larger than any gun you might have. Btw, it goes like this: The Confederate army, fighting terrorism since 1861 or The union army, causing terrorism since 1861. You can pick either one. Also, look up Mosin Nagant. You might not pull a gun on me when you see what gun I own. And I assure you, I am a crack shot with it. True American patriots? You mean the ones fighting (cont)

  • @TheBoberton

I've already invited you to put your theories into practice. So far, you have declined. I don't need a gun.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage I haven't declined. I can not yet do anything in politics.

  • @TheBoberton

    Excuses, excuses.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage Yep, a 15 year old can make his mark on politics.

  • (cont) against the secession that the majority will vote for? Yep, true patriots will invade Dixie when she votes for her freedom. True patriots (tyrants)!

  • @TheBoberton

Secession was not put to a popular vote in most Southern states in 1860.

As I've stated before, get secession on the ballot in ANY state in the South, and see how much support you get.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage I don't think you understand what we feel inside. Of course the aristocrats walked all over us poor white folks. Of course we didn't want to start a damned war. Of course the war was fought over rich men's concerns (slavery, taxes, industrialization, political control, etc.), but if the Yankees gave a damn about even one white Southerner, poor or not, they sure didn't show it. They never gave up the opportunity to burn down and pillage. We fought for our homes and freedom.

  • @purzheen

"We fought for our homes and freedom"...whose freedom? HALF the South's population were slaves.

"Never gave up the opportunity to burn down & pillage"...Bull Shit. It was the Union Army that saved Richmond from the fires started by Confederate soldiers during their retreat. Same thing happened in Columbia.

Bet you didn't know that Sherman's army was followed, and supported by Southern whites, as well as freed blacks.

  • @UnionStatesHeritage OUR freedom. My folks weren't slaves, and we had nothing to gain by being invaded. And you're way off with your revisionist history regarding the way yankees treated the civilian population. At least most of you pussy yankees will admit to being worthless, women-raping, school-burning, livestock-killing, cold-hearted sons-of-bitches. I guess you don't even have enough honor to do that. Go look at the total number of yankees who served vs. the total number of Southerners.

  • @purzheen

Your folks weren't slaves, but they fought for slavery. Just like Germans who didn't belong to the Nazi party fought for the Third Reich...including all of its policies.

You're the one who is a tool for revisionist history.

Ever read the impressment laws enacted by the CSA? Gov. Zebulon Vance stated that the only thing Southerners feared more than Yankees, were their own army.

Ever research the CSA's policy towards white Unionists? Southerners reaped what they sowed.

  • @purzheen

My home Commonwealth sent over 400,000 men into the Union army, alone. Not to mention the agriculture and industrial wealth that was pumped into the war effort. Don't think you wanna play that game.

You have some proof in the form of written orders that the Union army's policy was to permit and encourage rape and murder?

  • @purzheen There is no such thing as honor in war man and those that think there is usually end up on the losing side. Once you start it and the south started it don't expect leniency. Besides you guys were doing the same thing to your slaves for a hundred years or so. The south started a draft very early in the war and toward the end had a very high rate of deserters. Why because they came to realize that it was a "Rich man's war and a poor man's fight".

  • Greek by birth southern by choice.

  • @badguygr pes ta..ego eimai apo notia ellada:P

  • Ya, i wish the south would rise again but it wont b/c theres just to much modern day guns there'd be waaayyyy to much bombs and shit but if they did that'd be cool you'd find me in south carolina

  • @ThePeracha We still believe in states rights. Wish the federal government would leave us alone just like always. I do not hate any man because of the color of his skin. The content of a man's heart is all that matters. I think Barack has his heart in the right place. Whether he can do any good for this nation tied up in the red tape of Washington remains to be seen. All politicians are businessmen and to quote Joseph Kennedy, "All businessmen are sons of bitches".

  • FUCK THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!
