I agree... my girlfriend worked for several different labels in NYC, and she had to leave the industry because she was sick of how good bands were ignored and sh!tty bands were praised.

There's a lot more to it, but yeah, the short story is that the guys in control don't actually know a damn thing about music.

Look up Waymond Boone on myspace music. He now sings for a band called Headrush as well as writing/producing.

It's a shame too. Halfway Down The Sky was one of my favorite albums in the late 90's.
