  • Awesome song!

  • Great song!! The Cosmic Cowboy LIVES!!!

  • will never forgive him for dumping dee an nigel in 1974...not nice...and hired studio side men to replace them...big mistake....

  • @ChiroQuacker It wasn't a big mistake!Their playing was rubbish, and Elton especially needed a drummer who could really play well!

  • @gahloot

nigel and dee were rubbish you say?

they were considered one of the greatest rythmn sections ever in rock history.

john lennon told elton he was making a big mistake when he canned them.

    they also contributed backing vocals.

eltons biggest hits and most successful time of his career were with nigel and dee.

his albums and his career hit the skids from 76 into the 80's after he dumped them.

you...are a friggin buffoon..only rubbish is hanging in your boxers...that limp noodle.

  • @ChiroQuacker Your the moron you cum guzzler! Elton's down fall was because he came out of the closet, and back then people stopped buying his albums!Blue Moves, was a dark album with some of the greatest musicians he could find playing on that album! And Rock of the Westies again had some of the same cast of characters including in bot Ray Cooper! Elton himself said he wanted to have a great rock and roll band and he got it when he hired these musicians! As for albums like A Single man, that was

  • @gahloot

    you keep ragging on nigel...

if he is so bad as you say...

then why has nigel been back in eltons band for the past 10 years?

hahaha...elton tours thru the year and nigel is his drummer.....

    you dumb wanker limpless pud

and nigel was replaced on drums in 1975 by ROGER POPE..not ray cooper you douche.....ray did play in the band as percussionist...BUT ROGER POPE WAS THE DRUMMER ON blue moves and rock of the westies.

you are one dumb little arrogant and ignorant nigga...

    queerboy

  • @ChiroQuacker Elton feels sorry for Nigel that's why, and he gets him cheap! Nigel was so broke and washed up! Also the songs that Elton does in concert in Vegas takes no drumming prowess therefore Elton doesn't need a great drummer for those songs! And no shit Robert Pope played the drums on his albums you dumb ass, pole slurping cum guzzling gutter slut! I said that Cooper was brought on for the single man tours, and the concerts at the Greek Theater for example, because Nigel couldn't handle it

  • Respond to this video... Charlie Morgan and Mattack are way better than Nigel as well as Pope! Nigel couldn't play half the songs on Blue Moves like Crazy Water,or Grow some funk of your own on Rock of the Westies!Hell on reg Strikes back Nigel was in the studio singing background and Elton still used Morgan to do the drumming tracks LMAO! So instead of sticking up for your boyfriend Nogel! Worry about him playing your mom like a snare drum! (And may I add a bad playing snare) Cock wrestler!

  • @gahloot

charlie morgan sucks...he plays like a drum machine...no swing, no feel, no groove....

charlie cold never had played on goodbye yellow brick road album or captain fantastic album....those albums were eltons best and biggest sellers....

roger pope is far better then charlie the metronome morgan,....

but nigel was to the elton john band what ringo was to the beatles and what moonie was to the who

i have seen charlie, roger and roger play in concert... morgan plays like a robot !!..

  • Respond to this video...A master piece of finely crafted music,in which Davy Johnstone only played on one song, and ray Cooper was back again! The other reason's his albums plunged was he got into the disco sound, and changed writers, and producer's (No more Bernie Taupin) All his albums from 1878-82 crashed, and they had some of the original band members on them! It wasn't until 2 low 4 zero that he made a complete comeback! Davey and Dee in a pinch could always be used on tour

  • Respond to this video... With Davy being the most talented of the bunch! As for Nigel Olsen,Elton knew he was limited, and that is why through all the years he went with great studio drummers in concerts as well in the studio jackass! Nigel isn't even ranked in the top 200 drummers of all time! The only thing I give the 3 of them credit for is their great studio sound with there voices!Although live many times they would hit a clunker's,or be out of tune, and you could see it written-!

  • Respond to this video... On Elton's face when they sang sour! They were in the band but didn't make it! Dee and ray Cooper were the most talented, and this is why on any tours that just had Elton playing piano,he would always bring along Ray! Hell even Jeff Lynn of ELO,and Traveling Wilbury fame knew the talent Cooper has,as do many other bands! As for the rubbish hanging out of my boxers, just ask your mom about it! She goes dumpster diving on my cock most every night! Well at least she did!

  • saw elton at Madison square garden five nights in a row--unbelieavable!

  • Oh, this version is sooooo great.... :)~~~~~~~~~

  • had it on vinyl and loaned it at a party in monterey ca ---- lost it in the shuffle ....... glad to hear it !!!

  • Awesome music!

  • allllllllright alllllright piano piano piano

when elton rock sound with a mad fury voice

who can calm down elton when he rock ????

  • The second half is AMAZING in this one. I've always thought that CIPYO is a great rocker, when the ending really kicks off. :=)

  • Stunning! This is terrific! Always loved this song, but this is murder!!! Thanks for the post!!!

  • Saw him in his first ever Carnegie Hall appearance. He came out alone at first and sang his entire first album. Then he brought out Dee and Nigel and introduced Tumbleweed Connection to the world. Wow.

  • GREAT post!!! This is one of my all time favorite Elton songs from the early days - my absolute favorite from the 11-17-70 album. Raw, sexy and rocking! Dee & Nigel were so tight and musical! I also love Caleb's guitar work on the studio version on the Friends album. Thanks so much for sharing it with me. You, my friend, truly rock!!!!
