@rajithaify we've had a w163 for 10 years now and its a great car. Its had less mechanical failures than my cousins 2006 jeep grand cherokee. And is nicer than a Land Cruiser. Land Cruisers are big off roaders that handle like trucks. The fake wood and stuff all look cheesy... I'll admit the ML has some flaws, but it was built really well mechanically. I shows no signs of stopping. At about 180k now.

My family bought an ML320 brand new in 99'. It now has 162k miles on it and still going. All original suspension. Transmission and diffs have never been touched. Engine has needed nothing other then basic maint. Only issues has been door locks/windows and a CPS sensor. Interior and Exterior quality however isn't that great. I have to say, when it comes to the ML, it's a hit or miss. also, the ML is still daily driven. Hopefully i don't regret saying its been a good vehicle lol.

I'm slightly disappointed. I lusted after the M-Class when I was a kid, but mostly because of it's product placement in The Lost World: Jurassic Park movie. Now it seems that I won't be able to fit comfortably in one. Oh well.

@E60BMWM5 I agree with you on the older ML Class.. absolute junk.. I see these in my service bay with constant problems and shoddy build quality.. The C Class from that era wasn't nearly as bad to be quite honest.. Mercedes was having quality issues in the 90's throughout the entire range.. mostly from what I have seen the ML and CLK faring the worst

jeep is better. cheaper, more powerful, better off road, and longer lasting. lets not forget that a jeep looks better and is more spacious, oh and in this video anyway, he really wasnt in any position that he would have needed even 4wd in a jeep

for a Merc, it's built... meh... (the facelift is much more to Mercedes standards) but as an American car, it's built FANTASTIC!

The South Africans are doing a better job at assembly then Americans do, but it is still not good enough.

What has to be said here though, it is not the fault of American workers, rather the below standard factory equipment Germany supplied to the Alabama factory.

Cheap thinking leads to a cheap end product, and many unsatisfied customers.
