is elesh norn the grand cenobite a 4/7 legendary creature with vigalence with the effect that while it is on the field it adds +2 +2 to your creatures and takes -2 -2 from opponents creatures a good card because i have one in my green white deeck
@SirThrun Kind of. It really should stay in lomited, but it is still a very cool card. I wouldn't run it with green though, as it's sometimes tricky to get out double white.
Eh, pretty good. I think the only issue is that sans Honour of the Pure or Brave the Elements, a single Pyroclasm ruins almost the entire creature base.
@zakv91 Skyfisher is a very good WW card BECAUSE of its "drawback". You play it like a self-bounce that happens to give you a creature. For example, you pickup your ORings and pin down another creature. Or you pick up the allies and play him again. Or you pick up Knight of the White Orchid and gain another land. Or you pickup Ajani when he's at 1 loyalty and play him again at 4 loyalty. Or pickup the Hookmaster. Or pickup Devout Lightcaster and kill another black. The 2/3 flying is just a bonus.
So...I guess you just mulligan until you have 2 lands in your hand? Seems like it'd be risky to go with just 1 land, you may not draw another the whole game.
well, 16 lands, 8 are fetches, then he has knight of white orchid that drops a land, and the skyfisher returns a card to hand, return land and play it. realistically he has a lot of ways to pump the lynx.
harms way is great for a one mana reversal card, if you about to be burned or are being attacked, it helps quite a bit.
even with the 16 land base, this looks really solid.
because...terramorphic sets you back a turn by coming in taped and in this deck you need the untap lands the rare fetched lands brings.that and landfall and being able to play another 2 w creatures or 1 ww creature. o_o
I played a similar deck at my local shop and went undefeated in the swiss rounds. This deck completely destroys Jund, Brave the elements is solid against it. I also used Harms Way. I ended up loosing in the top 8 to a turbo fog mill deck. I had no answer for it.

"you have The Knight of the White Orchard..." Lawl... and this guy is supposed to be smart? My WW is better. I haven't gone to Pro with it yet but it wins all of my FNMs and Weekend tournaments. Everyone plays Jund and other things.
his Knight basically gets the land drop that he needs, effectively making his steppe lynx into 4 ( including regular land drop) plus all of his honor of the pure.
oooh, I'd definately drop the elspeth for the Brave the Elements. Excellent trade off on this white weenie. Lol, jund would probably get ripped apart by this.
@SaLlYMaEpRoPsOn From playtesting myself... I like Ajani better than Elspeth in WW. Ajani plays like 3 honor of the pures, followed by more every other turn and combos with the Skyfisher. Elspeth does builds up to that nasty ultimate... but if you're playing WW, even if you pull off the ultimate your opponent will win. A bunch of indestructible 1/1s or 2/2s fares no match against Tramplers, Fliers, or Mill decks. You need a nasty creature to take advantage of Elspeth.
He uses the fetch lands to pump his steppe lynxes, he gets a +2/+2 from playing the land, and an additional +2/+2 for saccing them and getting a land, or he can save the land for his opponents turn, sac it and block with his pumped Lynxes.
@gymkidarman It is to thin his deck. He doesn't really want to draw any more then 3 lands. So it just helps him remove the lands from his deck so he isn't drawing into them.
This deck looks like fun to play! And ofc it's pretty cheap. Although it probably gets crushed by Jund, I still want to give it a shot. However 16 land seems too much, I don't think you wanne play an entire game with only 2 or 3 mana at your disposal. I'd probably take out 2 soul warden and put in 2 more plains.
he came up with a decent white wheenie deck. but without honor of the pure hes helpless when it comes to cards like pyrpclasm, volcanic fallout, infest, etc.
@MrFreak0r Infest doesn't see a lot of play nowadays, and the Brave the Elements nix red mass removal. 'Course, DOJ can wipe this deck, but this deck has such consistently high draw quality (sure as hell no mana flood!) that it can rebuild quickly after nasty mass removal, and also can prevail after mulliganing for more land. At first glance, the 8 mana-producers seemed bad to me, until I realized that this deck can mulligan a coupletimes until it gets enough land and usually draw plennya gas.
I just playtested this for about 3 hours or so, and so far 16 lands is just fine, being able to accelerate with the knight of the white orchid it allows you to hold the game down with 3 or 4 mana while playing 2-3 creatures each turn. I love this deck
first of all ghost quarter isn't standard legal, second, they just get another plains off of the ghost quarter and you just made it more likely they'll draw another creature to kick your ass
This comment was full of fail. Ghost Quarter is not Standard legal, and it allows your opponent to search up a basic. Hooray! You just lost a land, activated Steppe Lynx's landfall, and got yourself disqualified for the low, low price of one Ghost Quarter! You get the "Worst Tech Ever" trophy!
True, but if you miss your second land drop, the deck is in trouble. You want to consistently have two lands on turn two, and that is pretty risky with only sixteen lands. Soul Warden, Elite Vanguard and 0/1 Steppe Lynxes can only get o far.
Agreed. I'm sure their is method to the madness, but there still seem to be some flaws, i.e. Steppe Lynx and 16 lands in a 60 card deck. It doesn't quite add up right, or at least seems that way.
