  • Destroy the core! This is one of my favorite IIDX songs of all time.

  • I cracked up laughing when they showed the Bacterion brain and the Vic Viper crashed into the ceiling after taking out the connection nodes on the bottom of the screen. Imagine getting to that point in the game and then losing your last life on the one boss enemy who does not even shoot at you.

  • and now there is on DDR

  • calidad.....men

  • Shoot the Core!

  • i'm fast,i'm strong....only by listening this song,hahahaha!!!!!

  • Speed Up!

  • wrong code.

    self destruct in 3 2 1

  • You mean,

  • This Video Is A Best Clasic Of Gradius... Great!!! :D

  • I am 18, am have been a die-hard Gradius fan since my youth. Hell, I bought the PS2 just for the Gradius 3 and IV collection.

    If Konami has common sense, they will release the arcade version of the first two games, and continue the series.

  • awesome~~ very impressive although it is classical~

  • not only is this game classic, it's near impossible to beat >_>

  • respect to the classic. Gradius rules

  • KICK ASS!!!! Gradius is one of my favorite videogame series! Awesome music video!!!!

  • Medley

    Title->Stage 1->Power up->Stage2->Boss->Stage 3->Game Over->Ranking

  • Hmm? That's not right. I'm very familiar with this game's soundtrack, and the actual progression of songs is more like this: (Bits in Parenthesis are the official song titles)

    Coin->Power-Up(Beginning of the History)->Level 1(Challenger 1985)->Level 2(Beat Back)->Level 3(Blank Mask)->Level 4(Free Flyer)->Level 5(Mazed Music)->Level 6(Mechanical Globule)->Level 7(Final Attack)->Boss(Aircraft Carrier)->Game Over

  • ->Ranking(Historic Solider).

    (Accidentally submitted the first rely before I was done typin git. Gaahhh!)

  • I think you mean:

    ... > Power-Up > Stage 1 > Stage 2 > Stage 3 > Stage 4 > Stage 5 > Stage 6 > Stage 7 > Boss > ...

    The rest, you got right.

  • very very very k00ll...

    -oel

  • The video for this is actually from a game called Beatmania IIDX. One of the songs in there is a remix to one of the Gradius songs.

  • There's still a dedicated (if small) Gradius following in Europe and the states, though, and a sizeable smattering of 2D horizontal/vertical shooting fans in general. On the forums I frequent there seems to be quite a lot of people who've gotten into the genre recently, which is always a good sign. :)

    It's a real pity that Gradius VI for the PS3 has been put on "indefinite hold". Let's hope Konami are just keeping things quiet for a big surprise, and hopefully one that isn't too far off!

  • I really hope that won't be on PS3.

  • It is kind of sad that no one outside of Japan realizes how classic the Gradius series is. It set the standard of all horizontal shooters to come and was the true innovator of the now classic "Konami Code". Not Contra.

  • uhh, there are so many gradius players in the U.S. Salamander is the one that doesn't get played.

    And there are always "doujin" shooters like samidare that never get any exposure stateside.

  • Dude...that's awesome...and one of my fav games of all time. A tribute to an age gone by, in every respect.
