i dont understand why people use gte internals when you can get a set of forged pistons for like 400 and H-beam rods for 400 with floating pins.and they are way stronger than gte internals, and the stock is300 crank is capable of holding mega power. then you can throw anything at it without worry. and for fritoss007 just get a set of 880cc or 1000cc injectors and forget about it.
@cbr900rr919 Because it has been proven that GTE internals are very reliable and can withstand 800hp in a daily driven setup, and GTE internals are sold dirt cheap in Supra forums. The cheapest I've seen is $150 for pistons and rods that came out of an unmodded motor that had 80k miles. The buyer made a build thread for his NA-T Supra and the car made 750hp on Q16 on 40psi using a 6262. He updated a year later and put 30k miles on the car before going all out on a brand new block
I'm wondering what you input for injectors correction in the emanage. I'm having an emanage with a PT6765, R154 swap and GTE internals and I need to install bigger injectectors but I can't find lag time for the stock 250cc injectors of the IS300
i dont know that much info on is300s but i was wondering do most ppl swap there motors if they want to turbo the car? if so what kind of motors do ppl ususally use ?
@lopez5678 well the usual is the 2jz gte(1998 supra tt) also the 1jz (80's supra) and now a days people have sin even further by slapping an LS3 motor (corvette motor) lol. But keep in mind people do swaps for 2 main reasons 1) to get bigger numbers than 400whp 2) be different. Im boosted on the 2JZ-GE and having a blast at 380whp, enough for my needs =p
what clutch setup are you using on the r154? how's it holding up?

Good numbers my man. I will be happy to crack 600rwhp with mine.
I have a Billet PT6765 w/ .81 a/r hotside. GTE internals, stock head, stock intake, stock throttle body. V160 tranny swap.
