Settling out of court is not an admission of guilt or innocence. It means the two parties came to an agreement before trail by jury takes place. Anything settled out of court is not public doctrine, which is why companies and celebrities will choose to do it. IMO, if you were molested, you would want that person to be punished, you wouldn't take the money and run. On the other hand, I understand Sherri's POV. Settling out of court is not an admission of guilt or innocence. It means the two parties came to an agreement before trail by jury takes place. Anything settled out of court is not public doctrine, which is why companies and celebrities will choose to do it. IMO, if you were molested, you would want that person to be punished, you wouldn't take the money and run. On the other hand, I understand Sherri's POV. If you are "innocent", why try to sweep this under the rug?

I think the guy is guilty but the fact that he settled out of court doesn't prove or disprove anything. If you have the money to avoid a trial that could go with the wind and smear his name even if he is innocent then you spend that money and stay jail free.

this is a good example of people talking about things they nothing about. a settlement is not an admission of guilt they were not boys, and this was not a situation of actual rape. Also, good pastors get railroaded all the time and bad things do happen to good pastors. How soon we forget the good people do, but I guess that doesn't matter when you don't know anything about them in the first place. Christians pray, not judge.

That text is not about declaring who is guilty of wrong; but about condemning others; speaking final judgment of where this or that person is going (heaven or hell Rom 10:6-7). Jesus (Yahowshuwa) also said judge righteously (John 7:24). We must rightly divide the word of truth, not misuse it as those of the world. Long is guilty or very foolish. Always read above and beyond any text given, to see if the things that are said are true. My judgment of Long is not base on appearance. It is written; let every word be established by two or three witnesses. Long’s guilt and foolish in this case is a glaring fact….
