  • Think this would be great in a PIE ... Just line a Pie dish with Short Crust pastry, add the Country Sausage Gravy top with flaky pastry, brush with a beaten egg and bake in a oven for 30minutes ... Of course you would need to add more bacon and sausage meat to the recipe, but she would be good eating.

  • What the hell is "chicken fried steak"?.

  • Your voice makes me chuckle man. I can hear the testosterone.

  • Despite the fact that you cooked this INSIDE THE HOUSE, I gave the video a "thumbs up" and will probably dream about the chicken fried steak with Country Sausage Gravy when I hit the sack in a few minutes. As always, you guys keep hittin' them over the center field fence!

  • Excellent video. Man, that looked good!

  • that looks so good i could eat it with a spoon, let alone with chicken fried steak or buscuits

  • You sir sound like the country man, that I an educated black young man from the city would simply LOVE to have as a friend and fellow chef! Kick Ass gravy man!

  • Ahhh... Irmbr this one... it's during the snow storm... fun re-visiting.

  • To vegetarians,

I eat the cows which produce the methane gas causing global warming, you eat the plants trying to fix global warming so who's really killing the planet?

    From a non-vegetarian.

  • Comment removed

  • @SeattleMark1979 Thanks ;)

  • @almondavid that dosent make any sense, methane can be used as gas, so you're actually saving the country from dependance on foreign country, you're a hero, a patriot.

  • @almondavid Even though i know you´re joking, it doesn´t make any sense. If you (we) eat more cows, people will breed more cows = more gas, and really the only plants that ''fix'' global warming are trees and shrubs n stuff.. :p

  • @terhenti If you only eat plants, no ones gonna breed cows O.o either way its just going to be unbalanced, so why not follow our natural order of life and be omnivores like everyone else? :)

  • @almondavid LOL why not just stop this nonsense and enjoy our meat :P

  • @terhenti This wasn't nonsense, this was a friendly conversation ^_^ But yes, lets enjoy our meat xD

  • @almondavid MEAT!!!!!

  • @almondavid gg ahha thats a great point hhahhhhaha

  • @almondavid gg ahha thats a great point hhahhhhaha

  • How you get that black iron so slick?

  • @KJamesSr years of cooking to season a cast iron cook loads of bacon other than that you have to heat oil in the pan it takes years to get a good black cast iron pan

  • I'm gonna learn to cook like this so that when I get married, my husband will actually be able to get well fed and won't have to go to Hardee's to get some real meat lol

  • BBQ....... mmmmm

  • Awesome. I must eat country gravy!

  • I had to give this one a try right away. It just looked too good to wait. And I had everything I needed already on hand. I am an accomplished cook but gravy is not my friend. I made this one to the directions to a "T". I ate mine poured over homemade sourdough biscuits. You were right, Guuud! Being an avid pork fat supporter I found it odd to use a butter rue in pork sausage gravy but I went with it. Glad I did. And Chicken Bouillon? That is a secret I would've paid for! Thanks BBQ Pit Boys.

  • Even the way he TALK make me hunqry

  • what happened to mmmm it's good? I guess he didn't like it.

  • @MegaDeathwarrant I think he was to busy stuffing his fase to say it.

  • I cooked this recipe today and I have to say this is the best gravy I ever had on toast and I can't wait to try it on country fried steak. Thank you very much for sharing.

  • boys that is what i remember when i was in Nashville 1979 i just couldn't get enough of this i'm going to make this yr way omg this is amazing thks so much for sharing ohh yes i was sub to you boys and some where along the line i had lost you NOT KNOW I HAVE YOU BACK THOSE CAST IRON PANS well they are the best never ware out like our cheap brands

  • Man! I can't wait to give this a try! I can hear my health Insurance rates going up all ready. You guys could make possum a good meal. Keep it up I love it. Question is there a place these are written down? I have been writing them on note cards. Do you have one coming for fried okra?

  • @TheMadGriller lol no shit about the health insurance. Looks AMAZING though...

  • @TheMadGriller Are you watching the boys videos on your computer? I just use my word program and write the recipes that I like in there while I watch the video. Shit, I have a ton of the boys recipes in "my recipes" at this point.

  • Half and half????? DAMN i gained 5 pounds just watching that.

  • 7 people are justin beiber fans

  • man...gotta stop watchin these vids....I allways get hungry as hell! :D

  • Where are you guys from what state if you dont mind me asking?

  • Where are you guys from what state if you dont mind me asking?

  • Heart attack much??? :-)

  • Fellers, Ive got to tell ya. My wife made the biscuits, and I made THIS gravy. My Lord. It was the BEST Gravy Ive ever eaten!! Words cand describe how GREAT this was!!

  • That was friggin awesomeness beyond extreme Boyz. I thought my Mom was cooking that!! We must be brothers in another parallel world or something....My wife and kids will be educated and will know how to make this gravy!

  • what was the sause he put at 6:10 ????

  • @r9i9a9p3 It's Worcestershire sauce.

  • Almost errotic!!!!!

  • I have loved and adored nearly every recipe you guys have done. I have probably personally attempted half of them, with varying degrees of success. But in this particular recipe I question the necessity of THIS much fat. Bacon, then sausage, then butter, then cream? I can accomplish the same thing with a standard roux and some stock with a tenth of the calories. I love food, but I don't want a coronary!

  • @asidreign I've always wondered how the SEC could consistently produce giant 350 pound behemoth sized linemen...mystery solved XD

  • I never saw any of this "half and half" in my country, so it's basically half milk-half cream right? Thanks

  • This looks interesting for this dutch boy who has never had gravy

  • @M44hk

Why not cross the channel to England and get some from there? At least you can smoke all the puff you want haha

  • @BlackPanteraSociety Yes but don't you know how hungry you get from smoking that stuff?XD

especially if I'm also watching bbq pit boys =P

  • @M44hk

Of course...we all get ze munchies :D

  • what is "sweet" butter?

  • Sir, I applaud you. Amazing, simply amazing.

  • 9:22 AHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! GREAT!!!!!!!

  • I use Italian sausage and buttermilk in my sausage gravy.

  • third vid i've watched in a row. you guys got me hooked. subbed!

  • wheres the new video???

  • how is this guy still alive?

  • Man... I havent had country sausage gravy like that in a long time!!! Reminds me of good times! Thanks for another awesome recipe.

  • Damn, I'm making me some Biscuits and gravy for breakfast tomorrow, it's been awhile

  • looks delicious....minus the 2300 calories an 198g of trans fat lol

  • WOW! That looks amazing!

  • Man those biscuits and gravy are my poison! Thanks guys!

  • the 6 people who disliked are girlymen and vegematics who don't know good eatin'

  • Easy to see how this could be done on the grill. So, Umm, that aside you guys stuck inside too?

  • with a littlebit of napalm you can make your own summer..just sayin

  • where is the bbq pit? FAIL!

  • hey hey cooking inside,c'mon thats for vegematics and girly men.Just kidding.

  • try to use nice selfmade breadcrumbs instead of flour as a thickener in the greavy. even better in the combo with the sweet brown budder.

  • That's doesn't look like fresh garlic

  • I will definitely try making this !

  • Well, I know what I'm making myself tomorrow. I almost died and went to heaven when I saw the gravy on the biscuits. I think I love this show because of the lifestyle that comes with it. Boy I'd love to stop stressing over crappy office jobs and come live in nature, hunt my own food, and live the good life.

  • I wish I had the thyme to make it,looks GUD!

  • 2moro's breakfast sorted :)

n1 pit boys, you never fail. keep up the sterling work.

  • Damn I love it!

  • Now this is true health food!

  • way too thick

  • i'm making this, this weekend

  • gawdamn this is heaven

  • I want to thank you again for one of your special dish :)

I'm not an american, but I'm so fascinated of american dishes like yours

Very Natural maden and I wonder if I could cook one of your dishes after i get married

(sorry for my english, but I really want to thank you for your great job.)

  • looks very good, i just wish you had done this on the grill. maybe you can reshoot it come springtime.

  • I like this, great condiment video

  • Oh man! That looks good! You guys are true food pornographers.

  • From the front range of the Rockies, all the way to New England, they're starting to call this the "Death Storm". We're all stuck inside...

  • Oh man Boys, that just looks too good right now. Some hash-browns or home fries would go nicely with as well.

  • Gravy looks great. Seems the winter's being a hassle over there too. Hope not for too long though, the BBQ pit channel's pretty much my lifeline 'til May when I can finally dig the grill out from under the snow. Can't wait...

  • WHERE IS THE "ITS GOOOT!" ?!?!?!

  • i make a version of this on the weekend all the time one of the first things i learned to cook

  • Looord have mercy !

  • I was wondering if that stove was outdoors! Never thought you guys ever went inside.

    This recipe looks damn guuud!

  • @TangoSpiceCompany ..hey joe...! lmao... - no break this winter on this ice and snow sheeit..! Those mega winter storms keep coming and coming. WTF Some of our grills and smokers are buried in this crap -will need a metal detector to find 'em..! Been inside a couple of days now and already getting cabin fever. Damn. Had to eat, so we made some Country Gravy on the kitchen burner to kill some time. Will get back outside as soon as we find the wood pile and a grill! lol

  • @BarbecueWeb ..ice storm here in Texas, again. Time to go visit some of our Aussie friends -where it's summer, down under! Need some of your country sausage gravy and a plane ticket to Melbourne...to hell with the Super Bowl..! lol

  • @BarbecueWeb

Dang fellas, don't envy y'all way up north........it was 78 degrees for us again today heh. Love the videos, they're easily my favorite on YouTube. Keep um comin'! ~ South Florida Saltine

  • @BarbecueWeb Man this winter is everywhere. Even closed down the airport here in TAMPA, FLORIDA!!!!

  • @BarbecueWeb at least you made in a REAL skillet!!!! Close enough when you need a metal detector to find your grease cooker, 'cause that chit is buring 6' deep!

  • -]. I definatly gotta try this .[-

  • this video here shows how flexible the boys are. glad they're not monotonous (being outdoors all their lives..) nice one boys!

  • @edro20 Hollywood? Fuck you, I live around Hollywood. I love all their recipes including this one.

    fucking hillbilly.

  • LOOKS MORE LIKE DINNER = PUT SAUSAGE= GRAVY ON A BISCUIT SCRAMBLED EGGS ON THE BOTTOM LOL

  • God everyone who is complaining about them cooking inside are fucking annoying!!

Be grateful you get ANY recipes in the dead of winter. They don't even have to make videos period. Get over yourselves!!!!!

  • My caloric score just went up 100 points from just watchin' this video! YUMMMMM!

  • I was surprised to see an indoor show too but I liked it. Do more. Food is food. Food is good. Unless its sweet potatoes. Hate em. I like to put two or three fried eggs on top of the steak and gravy as well. I may have a heart attack but no one leaves the world alive.

  • Personally, I would have added some more milk. The finished result looked more like chicken salad sandwich fixings. But I'm sure the flavor was still there, I just prefer a more creamy texture in my gravy. Thanks for sharing!

  • Thumbs Up My Friend!!! Great Video!!!

  • Maybe because of the freezing weather? I dunno, still a good recipe!!

  • WHAT IS THIS BLASPHEMY I'M SEEIGN?! A KITCHEN?! AN ELECTRIC COOK?!

  • way to many ingredients

  • Maybe this is one step further to see our BBQ Pit Boys in the mainstream media. Boys, I hope you get your big break!

  • "there are as many versions of this sausage as there are mama's in kitchen"

    Words of Wisdom

  • so... y'all miss that BBQ don't ya lol

  • @TheFreePisces yeah lol definitely but atleast this goes with anything you BBQ

  • lord have mercy

  • I can feel my arteries harden just by looking at this video

  • After seeing this video, my screen now has a bite chunk missing from it. I think it's very cool to see you guys serve up somthing for breakfast in the kitchen. Gotta eat good in the morning if you're going to spend half the day outside by the grill :)

  • this seems more like a sauce than gravy, onions and garlic in gravy? still looks really good tho

  • You going Food Network on us now? Well at least to gave one to the food cops you used half and half rather than just Cream. You have to do your version of a chicken fired steak for us.

  • MMMMMMMMM Heart Attack waiting

  • Looks almost as tasty as my Grandma's

  • i cook like you guys, now just look at that want ya?

  • BBQ PIT BOY'S....YALL R THE BEST

  • @8:28 he didn't say i do apologize

  • I reccon I have no choice but to make this this evening. Youve done starved me to death.

  • for some reason the comment will get a thumbs up ????????

  • @TerryMMA85 no it won't ;)

  • heard BBQ or kitchen then i was wait a minute and went back. U never used a grill or even a fire. shame lmao nah i use the recipes only in the kitchen so...

  • Butter, milk Biscuites! 8:46 Hey Shay!

  • John Travolta had it figured out a long time ago...Grease IS the word! I couldn't agree more

  • I have to admit, this isn't one of my favorites from you guys. It's simply too thick. It's just meat with a tiny bit of cream holding it together. And then you put it on more meat? Overload.

  • @Michael55443 just get out...lol

  • @Michael55443 u know i sent that last one too soon should have finished the video, i thought it was just gravy with the little pieces from the biginning (after he took out the sausage) but then he put it all back in and i was ok it not really gravy anymore, its more like a meat sauce for Stroganoff or something. but not more meat lol

  • @Michael55443 No, it's a gravy with meat in it. If you hadn't put the meat in at the end it would have just been a gravy.

  • @Michael55443 it's not so much for putting on other meat as it is to go over biscuits. I suppose you can put it on anything you want, or just eat it plain though. In Mississippi this is primarily served over biscuits or toast or the like. If you're going to serve it over or with meat, you would likely leave out the bacon and sausage, though I'd still render it to get the fat for the gravy. That would work with hamburger- or chicken fried- steak.

  • @Michael55443 ... are you kidding...? Are you one of those Food Police? how bout more meat, more meat, more meat, more meat...there's never enough bacon and sausage, dude!

  • @FirefightersTV Definitely not the food police. I love all their videos on here. This one just seemed to cross the line for me, but with less sausage in it, it'd be real good.

  • holy shit... i love this..

  • Mouthwatering goods!!

  • 2 people are vegetarians... oh thats a good result! ;D

  • I'm going to have my wife arrested for assault for what she has been doing to my taste buds over the years.....ever court in the land that would convict her if I brought this video into evidence.

  • THEY MAKE BBQ SHOES???

  • yes sir the parsley and green onions were a great touch..YARRRRRRR!!!!

  • As I sit here and eat my ramen, I would like to say I hate you.

  • don't watch this hungry! *growling*
