  • The girl who plays Olive is incredible in the role. You guys had an amazing cast.

  • Wow! Best production I've seen next to the Broadway production.

  • I loved this, we just finished we our production, the actors were great, but the director had her parents away from her, sort of like a "bubble" in her mind, which was the one thing i didn't like. Other than that we had a fun show

  • this is absolutely amazing. It is so well done. :) To you critics below me... my school is doing this show and these vocals are ridiculously hard to do.. I have friends auditioning for these parts who have sung at the Vatican and Carnegie Hall with our choir and they are even struggling. So please if you're going to be critical try singing it first.

  • this song makes me cry everytime.

  • It seems like the Olive is using the same expression.

And it sounds like when she is singing, shes holding back.

She needs to let it out.

  • I'm confused, is Olives mom really Rona and Mitch but she doesn't know?

  • @Pigfartsrulez No, they are completely separate characters. They are always played by the people playing Rona and Mitch because the vocal ranges are similar, and they only appear in one scene, so hiring more actors would be ridiculous. Same reason why Mitch and Leaf play Logainne's parents, and Chip (or in our show, Marcy's mom) plays Jesus.

  • @supersingerevan The reason isn't merely because of a lack of actors, especially in The I Love You Song. In this song Olive is creating a "chimerical" situation where her parents love her, when in reality they don't, as tragic as it is. The reason Mitch is portraying Olives dad and Rona is Olives mom is because to Olive, those two people are the most comforting people at the Bee. This is all Olives fantasy, and she is acting out this fantasy with the two most comforting people she knows.

  • @TeeJayCast I would personally say that's reading far too much into how the show was written, but that's certainly the stance a director could take when producing this play.

  • @supersingerevan I don't think it is at all, I think TeeJayCast has it spot on. It's quite obvious that it's all in Olive's head.

  • @supersingerevan I'm fairly sure it was scripted that way as well. They've taken on the roles as her parents because it's what she wishes her parents to be. Really touching and well written!

  • @jimsta4o9 I take issue with the idea that this is only true for this one song. What about Carl Dad and Dan Dad being played by Mitch and Leaf? Or Chip playing Jesus? As I interpret it, these roles are played by the actors on stage for pure convenience. Same way that Avenue Q has actors play multiple roles; that sort of thing happens frequently in shows, really. They're just separate characters, in my opinion.

  • Just needed to be a tad morr blended and the mom was really in her falsetto when it came to all three singing. And the girl was completely put in the back by the dad who projected TOO much and his vebratto is kind of annoying at some points..Sorry

  • it was really good but felt a lil chopped up

  • olive's dad...GOOD LORD SING! so impressed by this cast.

  • This song gives me chills every time I hear it :)

  • chills

  • Your Olive is amazing.!!!

  • amazing. brought me to tears <3

  • olive is sooo perfect!

  • The girl who plays Logainne is a great singer:)

  • BEST I LOVE YOU EVER!!!!!

  • Okay this is the best I Love You performance I've seen so far.

  • My goodness, the I Love You song performance was incredible. The entire cast is vocally sound. Great job!

  • Olive's dad has good pipes! :D

  • @Musicisthecure279 Agreed. I think all three of them have some pretty awesome pipes ;)

  • Kenneth Johnson is my hero

  • I think the girl who played Logainne was simply amazing! Keep up the great work!

  • best performance of this song iv ever seen. and thats saying something.

  • The male did a good job.... the female's might want to sing a little louder cause i could mostly just hear the guy

  • dang... there voices together make me wanna cry it gives me the chills

  • there are only a couple of songs that gives me goosebumps and this is one of them :D

  • Spectacular performances all around! I loved Allison's voice and the clear adoration for Olive -- made all the more painful by her absence. Kenneth captures the vocal quality of Mitch perfectly, and Heather delivers an emotional knockout punch in a beautifully sung and understated Olive. Bravo!

  • amazing acting from heather dell!!! shes so natural :)

everything is just....like shes not even acting. its amazing!

  • Absolutely amazing! I am surprised no one has told you so until now, but from one thespian to another(s). Great, Great job! Vocals were powerful and fitting and emotion was dead on. I was near tears.... Just fantastic!

  • @Blackwaith Those three are pretty awesome :) Thank you for the compliment!

  • @supersingerevan you know, this is my favourite version of this production on youtube, but I must ask, why is Olive's mom a different girl? There's a reason why its Rona and Mitch.

  • @pilsburydoughboy555 During all of rehearsals, Olive's mom was played by the same girl as Rona. But Rona lost her voice at the last minute, and so we had the Olive from the other cast come in to sing just that song.
