  • my dad died this summer and we are an irish american family from boston. on christmas eve we all had a heiniken (his favorite beer) and played this song as loud as we could and gave him a cheers. love this song merry christmas

  • Played for my brother before he left to Boston for work. Last month Far Away In Australia was played because he had to move to oz for more work, as much as i hate missing him these songs make it easier

  • @canureadthissir it just never happened. I was 15 when we met. I went to his state on vacation 4 times but we were still pretty far apart. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Ive been with my current boyfriend for 5 years and we live together so that's where my life is heading now. We still talk on occasion though.

Runnin through the alley ways, skippin off the bridges to grab the orange line with my friends. finally settlin down in Charlie's Pub and Sandwich at the end of the day while some of the older men sat in the corner and played this song.

  • The very first song had on my I-pod when I left Leith for the first time in my life, for the Isle Of Man, think I had it own repeat for the next hour, thinking of leaving behind my very own 'Boston Beauty'.

    Perhaps one of the most beautiful Irish ballad ever composed, personally speaking! I think all of us can relate to it, I think we all have that special person in lives, our Boston Beauty!

  • A lovely song. Takes me right back to previous Rose Festivals. Reminds me of past times and a girlfriend I knew in 1971 called Joan from Tralee. I was 16 years old. We went to the dances at the `Brandon Hotel`. Glad to see that the `Rose of Tralee` Festival is still going strong. Well done to the New York Rose for winning 2007.
