MTH makes Non fan smoke units. That is what makes the smoke work awesome.

no mth smokes so good cus it has 2 heating coils and lionel has 1 and mth is all fan driven

Lionel's quality is incredible but yeah MTH is a ton more F****** affordable. Not to say that I don't still love Lionel.
