You'd be suprised, screaming is a talent. Go record yourself and see how you sound, and I guarentee you that you'll have a serious lack of range. Also don't forget that guitar, drums, bass, keyboard etc. undenyably require skill. That said, hip hop has such potential, and well thought out lyrics can lead to amazing songs. But mainstream rap strays from that, as it's lost almost all of its creativity and origionality, and even the catchiness that made it popular in the first place.
