  • Crap

  • she sounds like some1 raped her before making the video

  • ok so can someone tell me how much you have to bath them cause i bath them 1 a month my mom told me to do it but yeah i have no idea can some one pls tell me

  • well, u give it a water bath and just clean it like that with ferret soap :u

  • the people in the back look like their going to rob a animal thumbs up

  • the people in the back look like their going to rob a animal

  • @xdaysx Yes, and most of the contents are intro/outro. Really annoying.

  • @DontKlickMyNameMr no the more you wash a ferret the stinkier they get i do it 1 every other month

  • @DontKlickMyNameMr I think it depends on the ferret. When my ferret had flee's I bathed her once a month with the flee shampoo, I also let her paddle around in just a bowl of clean water once a week (she enjoyed it). The flees hated it, they would climb up under her chin & I'd just comb them out. She didn't smell any worse & she enjoyed the drying session afterwards. She didn't have any skin issues.

  • so how many times are we suppose to bathe them every week or month?????

  • @myKarla101 Once a month

  • Is that guy drinking a beer 1:05 through 1:10?

  • GOD STUPID!!! EVREYONE LISEN ONLY BATH YOUR FERRET EVREY OTHER MONTH!!!!! GOT IT?

  • bathe your ferret about every other week? i thought this was called expert village yet they seem 2 know nothing?

  • You only should bath your ferret maybe 5 times a year at most, they will smell worse if you bath them that often because they will secrete more oil compensate for drying there skin out, ferrets will become very itchy if you are bathing them that often, also make sure you give them ferra-tone to help will healthy skin and fur. Ferrets are and should be naturally musky smelling,if you can't deal with it then don't choose one as a pet.

  • dose any one notis the two guys in the back that r all drested in black drinking milk

  • Umm, does she know anything about ferrets? She says NOTHING other than obvious things.

  • Expert village doesn't know shit about anything and mainly ferrets. I have 4 ferrets and i've had another in the past for years that died not to long ago. You do NOT bathe ferrets once every other week. You take them a bath ONCE A MONTH.

  • Every other week? I don't think so. Once a month, maybe.

  • @CryptoDriver Every other week? I wish... If I didn't bathe mine every 5 days, she stunk like a skunk and was as oily as french fry. It depends on the animal and the owner. I don't do smelly ferrets. Bathe them regularly. Mine loved it.

  • Boycott Petland i bought an iguana there one time that died within a month bad thing is it wasn't old it had somehow contracted some kind of disease caused by calcium defeciancy while at Petland and i didn't know i tried everything to make it better even drove 5 hours to get to a vet taht specialized in exotic pets.BOYCOTT PETLAND!!!

  • @robertlamb178 I'm really sorry to hear about what happened. Your Iguana was lucky to have an owner who tried so hard to save it.

  • ur suppose to give them a bath once every3 weeks other wise they smell bad if u give them a bath to many baths they smeel bad

  • You rly should only bath youre ferret only once a month. They have really sentitive skin you can buy a foam from the vet or pet shop that doesnt require you to bath them just spray on and rub on them that way there skin doesnt get dry.I hate how this girl doesnt know anything and how she isnt helpfull at all.

  • OK, NOW HOW!

  • i have to say there videos are helpful but they really should give an example

  • why not say some examples of products at the end?

  • crap expert video

  • though I suppose you can't expect much from someone who goes to Petland >.>

  • you shouldn't bathe them more then a month =/ every so often you can do it twice a month, but every other week is far too much

  • IN england you can just buy a ferret and thats it in other countries u have to register it and ave it micro-chipped

  • @dls82750 Um... In my opinion.. You should bathe your ferret no more than once every other week because their bodies tend to make more oils the more you bathe them causing them to stink even more.

  • the ghetto hudlums in the back are going to adopt a baby ferret

  • Thanks for the info I just wish you could show how to do the bathing. I just got my ferret so I've been watching tons of ferret videos to learn how other people properly care for their ferrets.

  • @fluffystuff66 My ferret showers fine. Just stands there & licks her lips. But put her in a little bowl and she rolls onto her back and chills out! She doesn't climb out or anything. I think she likes the feeling of her fur lifting off her skin. I'd bet good money that another ferret would hate it. As long as the water is tepid, not hot, you should just let the ferret decide. To dry, I put a towel in the laundry basket, stroke the excess water off her then loosley parcell her up in the towell.

  • oh i thought it was every month but if its every two weeks then okay!

  • you should make this vides longer

  • you wash your ferrets 4-6times a year maybe he really have to be dirty if u wash him/her that many times at year and like she say its not good to wash them 2 much but yea every 2 week isn't good 2 do.

  • the gangsters in the background are gonna buy a ferret

  • I bathe my ferrets about once a week, but I don't always use shampoo or conditioner when I bathe them. About once a month I use actual product, the other times, I'm just getting them wet...I agree, doing it too often is way harmful, what she's talking about is ridiculous.

  • i thought u wash them once a month?? IDIOT PERSon

  • EVERY OTHER WEEK? ARE YOU CRAZY???!!!!!!

You must bath your ferret like about once every 2 months. Once a month is a bit too much especially for ferrets whose owners never take them outside.

"Watch an exotic animal health technician explain how to bathe a pet ferret" BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! YOU HAVEN'T EVEN WASH ONE AND SHOW US HOW TO HOLD HIM AND OTHER STUFF LIKE THAT!!!

BUT AGAIN ONCE A WEEK IS WAY TOO MUCH YOU STUPID!!!

  • my ferret has been itching like crazy recently and i think it might be fleas but i have never actually seen them on her. i have seen 2 small spider looking bugs close to her but they didnt look like flease. please tell me what to do because i really dont know what to think

  • well if the bugs r red then they r mites and can cause them 2 scratch themself but other than that idk what they r..

  • Every-other week is way to much 1 time a month is enough! I have seven where did they get this dumbass??? Extra care animal hospital should do some more research.

  • i agree completly. I bath my two ferrets at least one every 2 months. Every other week is WAY to much!

  • I use once a month kitten flea drops, they work fine.

  • EVERY OTHER WEEK???!!! NOO WAY! You should not bathe your ferret more than once a month!!!! IDIOT

  • lol calm down...AHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @dlugolecki153261 haha I was really surprised and angry at the same time when I herd "once a week"....I was like "WHAT THE HECK??"

    Expertvillage SUCKS :(

PPL it's ONCE EVERY 2 MONTHS (for indoors) or ONCE A MONTH (for outdoors), but anyway you should bathe them as less as possible.

  • Doesn't the powder mess up their repstoriaty system?

  • my ferret has fleas, and i'm having a hard time killing the problem. when i bathe her with the flea shampoo she acts like it is killing her. i'm so torn on how to fix this...

  • get flea powder for a kitten or small animal and bathe her once a week also use a spray on the bedding and change it regularly til the infestation dies down, I used johnsons insecticidal powder and wash her with a flea repellant shampoo

  • another useless video.. she should wash one and SHOW us how

  • Wtf. O-O

  • Spot rinse their face get under the throat area and forehead part. Make sure you dry them well but very gently, leave them to dry in the towel and make sure the trip from the bathroom to the cage is not cold... the room with their cage should be warm to slightly cool place them in the cage and let them eat and drink some food and water getting a bath is tough on a ferret.

  • I have been reading up on ferrets and from what I know is you should bath them at least once to two times a month, to often is not good for the build up their gland musk and it causes dry skin that often flakes. To bath a ferret run your bathtub water on the warmer side lather the ferret with water, do not wet their head keep this part of them dry. Rub in your ferret shampoo or baby tear free shampoo on them from the neck down then rinse. clean their ears gently no water should go inside them.

  • once a month mine still stink after a bath.

  • They do that for all their topics, not just animal care. I can imagine the director after the first take of the video: "Cut! Okay, that was good, but it was too informative. Can you cut back of the usefulness a little bit? We need more room for intro graphics and to plug your hospital."

  • @bakkushan I agree these vids can be very ambiguos. I wish someone would do a decent vid on how clean ferret teeth. I was advised by my vet to use a wet johnsons cotton bud with chicken enzyme toothpaste. My ferret took to it after a few tries (mmmm chicken toothpase), but I suspect there might be a better way. I've heard that introducing the occasional raw chick into the diet can help (the flossing power of feathers!) but then you have the risk of salmonella. A friend lost his jill to that :(

  • when Male ferrets get old the tend to smell like pee like my one . we had a female but she died because we didnt mate her

  • I think we can all agree that we'll NEVER agree on how often to bathe a ferret.

There are so many variables: Is the ferret kept indoors as a pet? Outdoors as a working animal? Male/Female, Spayed/Neutered ect...

I personally find that once a month works fine for me and my ferret. I also change out the bedding regularly as I find it holds most of the odour.

I will no doupt be told by someone that I am WRONG WRONG WRONG. But as long as my ferret is happy, I'll carry on as is.

  • @TheDarkplace Well... i don't know.. but once every other week is waaaayyy too much. I rescue ferrets, and the ones that have come to me from people who wash them once a week usually smell horrible. I've had two since '07 though, that only get baths if they start to get icky/dirty. But I took both of them to a vet and was told that they don't smell like ferret. She asked me what I do to get them to not smell, and I said I only bathe them if necessary. So, who knows?

  • @ducttapekidd I agree. I own a ferret, and they DO NOT enjoy being bathed

  • @TheDarkplace WTF is ferret used as a working animal for

  • @robertlamb178 Rabbiting. They get sent down Rabbit holes to chase the Rabbit's out into a net for the farmers for food. Try YT'ing a few vids about it. :)

  • @TheDarkplace I agree (: Once a month works well for me too, my two boys live outside, litter changed daily, they are not working either. They do love a splash around though!

  • I bathe mine once or twice a year. The key is to make sure their litter is changed regularly (several times a week for me with 2) and to wash their bedding every other week.

  • NO! u need to bath a ferret once a month!

  • No. Twice a year.

  • i am a vet, and a ferret breeder, i think i know what im talking about

  • wat is a good ferret flea product

  • Hm im not a proffesional but ive learned in videos that u shouldnt bathe a ferret any less thn a month

  • you go to an Exotic Pet Veterinarian.

if you cant locate one, go to a regular/normal vet and they can provide you proper information on what youre looking for.

  • wait so we need a vetenarian for a ferret? or r we supposto take ferrets to the vetenarian? plz answer

  • You can take a ferret to a vet I am pretty sure... There is no speacial "ferret Doctor" Lol

  • o ok thnx

  • @3g00fy4 My vet is actually an exotic, and small animals specialist, so... Go to a vet that specializes in exotics. I'm pretty sure that a ferret is considered exotic.

  • I only bathe my ferrets when they need it. Like when they get into a mess of some sort. Clipping their nails and cleaning their ears regularly is what helps keep the ferret odor down.

  • where did u get ur ferret??

  • it depend on what your ferret dose, if your ferret is in a cage most of the time u probubly dont need to clean it that much but if it is litter box trained and runs around ur house like a cat and u take it for walks, ur gunna need to wash it a little more no more than once a week if ur ferret is an *explorer*

  • Ferrets only need to be bathes 2-3 times a year. I hate people who think the more you bathe the better. Fools!

  • Don't get me wrong i love ferrets, & i'm getting 1 in 2 mo., but other ferret specialists say only once a month... & they say if bathed more frequently than once a month can increase the odor.

  • TALK LOUDER!

  • You dont need to bath them more that 5-6 times a year....

  • Yeah, how come an animal health technician doesn't even know that.Which results telling others wrong information.

  • I only bath mine twice!

  • really, every one i ask at the pet store said bath them once a month

  • Pet stores rarely have up to date and informed information. They only get a short training period and then suddenly they are referred to as experts in their section of the store. Its like asking a walmart employee which stereo system is better. Most just don't know, but they can try to fake it to do their job, sell things. Most people bath ferrets too often causing then to smell stronger. Too much bathing dries out their skin and causes them to produce more oil which causes them to stink more.

  • thanks

  • lmao!!!! look at the background u can see some wanna be gangsters drinking in a pet store

  • You are so observant! I had to play the video again to see that! Lmao!

  • i have 6 ferrets and to keep there own scent i give them a bath every6 weels to 8 weeks and they are fine so when and that i from talking to people who know what they are talking about

  • i have a ferret and i bathe her every week and her coat is fine
