Dude! i hate when that happens! When i play electric guitar, instead of using my wrist i use my whole shoulder. And i only use hard picks on electric guitar (i dont like them to bend too much). So if i play too hard they snap in half. So i feel your pain man. And may that guitar pick R.I.P.
i love fender mediums adn the only time i ever get a new one is when i get mad and snap it or i lose it... thats funny tho, keep the music flowing despite such a loss!!! hahaha l8r
Aw man, Im sorry I feel party responsable for making the request. =P You did good nonetheless. But yeah I dont know how you managed to break your pick you weren't playing hard or anything from what I saw. Ive never broken a pick, but quite a few strings. Well im sorry to see your friend has broken in two, but still good job on picking up where you left off. I like the facial expression you made when you noticed it was broken. haha.
Well, I've never actually broken a pick (never broken a string either, until a few weeks ago, when I broke 2 in one day! :p), but I did lose my favorite pick. I'd had it for over a year, I think. I usually play with heavies, so it takes a lot to brake 'em. They're really chewed up though. ^_^ Anyway, I feel your pain. R.I.P. Pick!
I'm surprised at how well you played through it, though. Sounds like a cool song!
Yeah, I dig it. Check out my video "Demon Hunter - My Heartstrings Come Undone..." for the full song. I guess I played through okay. I wouldn't have stopped when it broke except that it was such a shock! I still haven't gotten home to my picks yet so I'm playing with half a pick right now. Not easy, but better than nothing. I used to cut up calling cards and things from my wallet for a friend of mine when he was short a pick. It worked! Thanks for the comment.
Hey, at least you didn't break the bottom string while performing in front of a live audience... happened to me, I tried to continue, but THAT was aweful! I thought you did great! I really like the way you play this instrument, very unconventional, it really sounds like a guitar sometimes, thats good!! Hey, I have a pick just like that!
Thanks for the note of encouragement, LaTressa! That must've been horrible! That happened to a lady I really like and I was so jazzed to see her, but she broke a string and had to stop 4 songs in! "Always pack extra strings" was the lesson of the day! I appreciate your kind words on my playing. I try to do things differently. And We're pick buddies!! Yaaaay!! ;o)
I actually got emotional when you broke your beloved pick. I know you mean you love it when you say that you love it. RIP pick.

Oh, no worries. It's just old and was starting to crack, I guess. I'll post an uninterrupted version soon!
