  • I like this song would you say its a beginner song or intermediate song?

  • @rickshunter1 Part A and Part B would be more intermediate. Part C is definitely advanced.

  • What an excellent teacher! As many other viewers agreed, WE GET MUCH MORE FROM YOUR VIDEOS THAN MANY FROM OTHERS. The superb tones, clear & precise directions and demonstrations in your lectures penetrates right into our minds. I am grateful for your total unselfishness in teaching the numerous music lovers by videos. You are my most respected teacher on viloin, manodlin & guitar.

How do I get to veiw most, if not all, of your video? Thanks a lot!

  • You are a wonderful music teacher. in all of the instruments you play. I love your tunes. and your instruction is easy to follow. I am wondering how or where I could order sheet music to the songs you teach.

  • @connielumsden Many of the songs are my own versions. Probably one of the best harder to play versions come from Craig Duncan's Master Fiddle Collection. I learn them from other fiddlers, from my own students' variations, from CDs, and from a huge collection of fiddle books that was given to me.

  • @blueiis2

Yeah I have that book. This begins with double stops and no tabs. No note by note instruction there. Sure is for a master fiddler. Learning more from your video. Some people like to just play and call it a lesson. Waste of money for lots of us. I would like to see some books with a cd teaching the way you teach.

  • love the lessons!!!!!!! can you teach us the song CAJUN FIDDLE?

  • I'm so glad that I've discovered your videos!

  • I have searched the internet and this is the best lesson presentation I've found. Plus you have some good fiddle tunes.

    Could you do MAPLE SUGAR?

This is like one on one. great lessons.

  • I'm glad you like my teaching videos! I can't help you with Maple Sugar, as I don't know that one. Where are you from?

  • You are a great teacher to bad you arent in california!

  • Thank you! I'm glad I could help.

  • Great videos . What kind of fiddle are you playing?

  • This is an old German baroque fiddle. It actually still has the short scale neck on it (not grafted), but the nut has been moved up so that the scale is standard. It's a little odd to play because the back of my hand hits the scroll in first position if I don't reposition slightly. I really love this instrument, though.

  • So glad you liked it! Your site looks great, too. I'm going to have to start visiting it!

  • This is wonderful - I am so happy to have discovered you. Thanks in advance for the fun I am going to have here!!!!
