yeah it is just gonna be harder cuz acoustics generally have higher action and much more string tension. but if you tap hard enough then sure you can get some sound. it would mostly depend on the acoustic you're playing

make sure you are not actually tapping the fret (the metal bar) tap between the frets (where you normally finger a note). Try using the side of your pick, since its harder material than your finger it will make a louder sound with less effort. Tapping is slightly quieter than picking so you might neeed to bump up the volume a little bit. make sure you're pulling off on the string and not just simply lifting your finger off. with your right hand it should almost be a pluck

uh basically any guitar. the higher the action and the more string tension there is will make it harder to do cleanly, but you can still do it on any guitar

use the side of the pick, not the pointed part. just rotate your hand 90 degrees counterclockwise (if you play right handed) so that the edge of your pick is perpendicular to the strings. then just tap the string with yout pick the same way you would with your finger

nah its cool, you have to hit the string with your right hand, pull off with your right (which is kinda like plucking the string, its easiest to "pluck" down like a downstroke) then pull off on your left hand
