  • The criminal Commission on Presidential Debates won't let Nader or anyone else debate against the despicable Two-Headed Republicrat Monster, since they siezed control of the debates from the League of Women Voters in 1988. It is the merger of two criminal factions into one, to prevent any competition from gaining a foothold, and is a fraud perpetrated on the American public. It makes a sham of our democracy.

  • Matt

    Gonzalez

    2012

  • Me 2!

  • serious people like matt g. don't stand a chance against puppet politicians and corrupt msm

  • Obama waas created by the media tbecause they feared Kucinich would win the nomination. He is shit.

  • No, Obama achieved success thru hard work!

  • through theatre & corruption

  • Obama grew up in less than ideal circumstances. His Parents divorced & died early in his life. He attended school, studied, paid his dues, made a life for himself & achieved the highest office in Our Country. He is a self made individual. You may disagree with his policies. However he was NOT born with a silver spoon in his mouth & did NOT benefit from growing up with Wealthy Parents unlike many of his predecessors who served as President !

  • i'm not talking about where he was born or how he grew up. i'm talking about corporate sponsorship of his campaign and his being in the pocket of corporate lobbyists etc. that's political corruption, not democracy.

  • The same can be said for almost Every Political Candidate !

If You DON'T believe Bush, McCain, Clinton, Palin, Romney or Reagen were not in the pocket of Corporate Lobbyists, Then You are the most Naive Person on Earth !

  • no. the same didn't hold for ralph nader & matt gonzalez. did you notice what clip you were watching? americans had the choice to vote in clean candidates who would have solved this society's problems, but, they're too scared & indoctrinated to let go of the corrupt status quo.

  • Read my comment CAREFULLY. I said ALMOST Every Political Candidate. You're correct about Nader & Gonzalez. Unfortunately the Influence of Corporate Lobbyists will prevent them from ever being elected unless Americans wake up & vote for candidates who represent their best interests and the Environment, Instead of the interests of Corporations. Until Corporate lobbyists are rendered insignificant America will continue to be controlled by a very few well connected extremely wealthy corporations.

  • For the record I voted for Nader in 2000. Unfortunately We got Bush (BUll SHit) who is a Textbook example of a Politician who is controlled by Corporations who pollute such as Big Oil !

  • Millions of Americans go through the same shit Obama did. McCain was a POW.

Past experiences dont mean shit sometimes.

  • No.

  • What is your point ?

Does McCain qualify to be President because he was a P.O.W. ?

Does Obama's life experiences disqualify him from being President ?

  • no it isn't.

  • Ah what a shame more didn't vote your way Matt.

  • I voted Nader. :)

  • Oh I remember when you said earlier you voted for Nader. Glad I certainly wasn't alone in that :).

  • I wrote Paul in, don't blame me.

  • Anarchism ftw!

  • At least someone knows what they're doing

  • Have you ever looked into anarcho syndicalism?

  • Matt Gonzalez IS Ralph Nader, but Matt isn't from the stone age. And even though Ralph Nader was born in a time of homo sapiens, he is oddly more intelligent than others of his kind, and less savage. Ralph is a very unorthodx caveman, and he carved the way for civilized life to begin- and now we reject him because people think he's not given the right to run if he's a member of a third party. If you want to blame someone for messing up the Democratic elections, try Hillary Clinto.

  • Why was that a reply to me?

  • i'll bet the ladies find him handsome. hehehe

  • halomolin :

While the way of producing energy using nuclear power might be relatively clean and safe, my problem is the nuclear waste. We have yet to find a way to safely and cleanly dispose of it. And until then, I don't think it should be considered an option.

Also, I am not convinced mining for plutonium is very safe for the people who live around there...

  • Obama - change..haha gimme a break..still a democrat afterall.. a change my friends, is selecting an independent candidate like Nader 2 be president..Now thats the American dream being fulfilled and democracy at its highest level in the sense that ANY citizen have equal rights to be president..wake up america..for 2012..

  • Matt Gonzalez 2012 President of The Unites States

  • I really think that Matt will be a person to watch in the future of the USA!

  • good comments halomolin, however there are other sources which are just as efficient as nuclear minus the harmful byproduct. More energy should be invested in developing those, but a you pointed out the coal and oil lobby will fight tooth and nail to maintain the dependance.

  • Gonzalez is pronounced gonTHaleTH.

    Get it right.

  • ColumbusSpainEurope,

That's only if you are speaking in a Castilian accent.

  • I'm totally against nuclear power. Solar power is the best way to go. i'd rather dig for oil than go for nuclear energy.

  • Why? What this man is saying is simply NOT TRUE. Nuclear power is the best, just look what the same US uses to power its huge subs and carriers. Secondly, Norway is going a re-fit and they are installing multi nuke-powerplants for Norway's future, and when we talk Scandinavia, we talk the best, the safest. Norwegians have the longest life spans in the world both for man and woman. There is a storng coal and oil lobby in the US that intends to scare the public with their slander.

  • The scare tactic works really well in the USA. This lobby will simply state things like "nuclear explosions' and "Chernobil". I just hope that the public does its share and gets educated. In the plant, the technicians keep a controlled nuclear reaction in the reactor, with advanced safety segments, like a complete stabilizer modem that ends the reaction in case of emergency. THat nuke reaction heats up water in to steam, which then turns the generator.

  • Once again, just look at how the US navy powers its huge, city size machines like air carriers. It is all nuclear powered. The people must be knowledgable of nuclear energy, because it is so effective. A small amount of uranium may power an aircraft carrier for up to 25 years. So remember, there will be many special interest lobbies fighting to minimize potential for any alternative fuels like nuclear, wind, solar, and ethanol based fuels. Why they do it? SImply, they are paid millions by orgs.

  • THIS GUY IS GREAT. HE is a leader. This is the first time I have heard him. What I see is we don't give up hope ever!!!!!

  • My husband and I already voted for Nader. Peace.

  • Seriously? You think the French nuclear plants are a failure? Yeah man, let's do coal instead. Much better. Ron Paul got more votes in the primary than Nader will get in the election, count on it.

  • Nader impresses me with his GREEN policies and Gonzalez is more coherent and makes better points that Obama has since his campaign started.

Nader/Gonzalez for the win! Obama says change? to hell with his "hidden" agenda...

    Nader/Gonzalez is real change.

  • I hate Obama and McCain .. I vote Nader... and his support is growing in these last days before the election.. half of A.S.U. is now for Nader

  • I come from a dictatorship: we have one candidate.

Here, in land of democracy we have two.

So whats the big fuss all about?!!!

Its a shame they do not allow Ralph Nader participate in the debates.

He is the only One who has a record of getting thing done for the people and has clear definition of change and hope, (not fluff) and is not planning to Obliterate Iran from the map.

So I want to use the media of the people by the people and do this the old fashioned way by volunteering

  • I agree bismarck. this election is too important to keep the same NWO puppets in control of the world. Obama and Mccain are the same, there is no lesser than two evils, there never was when it comes to the 2 party system. Im voting for who I Believe in.

  • <3 i love u LOVE MEEEEE b

  • If Nader doesn't win I'm moving to Canada =]

  • I heard Irelands prettier, wanna go there with me???

    :D

  • haha.. get packing

  • N any guys have a cam? i have mine in my profile N

  • Gonzales makes very important observations and actually discusses issues unlike others who say plenty and yet say nothing.

  • Every election cycle is "too important to vote third party" in. If you buy the idea that you should put it off until next time, you'll never vote for a candidate you believe in.

  • and i'm asian and you're a fucker

  • I thought I already explained this to you, in some detail. Start thinking please, or at least get a new line.

  • The above was entered as a reply to kurdatheist's remark below, not as new comment to the video.

  • Look, Obama is no saint but if you guys are in a swing state, please put off your independent vote until next term. People might be so pissed then, that the independents might get more attention.

Obama won't save us, but McCain can kill us. Remember, if it wasn't for Nader taking votes away from Gore, Sept. 11 and the Iraq war wouldn't have happened. Please don't make the same mistake.

  • You people say the same crap over and over. When are you just going to admit that the Democratic party is just the Republican party except with a different set of lies.

  • god no wonder they don't let these guy in the debate they really talk about some thing wish they were on the ticket in my state they would surly get my vote I will be voting 3rd party though

  • I wish Gonzalez would talk more about French nuclear power in this video. I'd also like the Nader/Gonzalez campaign would stop by my neighborhood sometime before the election-- I only get to see them through youtube, unfortunately. I'd love to see them speak in person.

  • xD heyyyyyyyyyyyyYYyyYYy

  • I read all of you folks comments and they are all good and worthy of public dissemination, but why can't Nader/Gonzalez get the same public dissemination for the whole public to digest and make an opinion.

  • I would love to see Matt flatten Palin and Biden.

  • The Third Parties should get together and hold their own debates and invite the corporate party to participate. This will get them publicity!

  • I Wonder Why They Haven't Done That

Might Be That The Major Channels Wont Televise it Mayb Idk

    I Wish This Happened Though

  • I'm so very much impressed by Matt Gonzales. Everyone who wants to change to political landscape should vote for Nader/Gonzales

  • After the shameful bailout vote today in Washington, I have a prediction. I predict that Nader/Gonzalez will be the BEST upset in political history. America, we have a real chance at a future. Vote Nader 2008.

  • Voting for Nader/Gonzalez 08!

  • Matt Gnzalez President Of The United States 2012!

  • Definitely agree with the "cut and paste stump speeches."

  • They should have a video that has Obama talking about speaking to other leaders...and then switch to Nader on the phone, not able to talk to Obama...Obama will to talk to them but not Nader?

  • Matt Should be on stage right now debating Joe Biden and Sara Palin... unfortunately, since we don't have a democracy in regards to open debates, no thanks to the tyranny of the corporate democrate and republican "commite on presidential debates" America did not get to hear matt debate biden adn Palin...it's a loss for American democracy (or what's left of it...) Matt would tear em up!!

GO NADER/GONZALEZ 2008 you have our votes in November.

  • I was thinking the exact same thing. He totally would have called them out on Biden's credit card connections and the presidential candidate's relationships with unscrupulous Wall Street firms.

  • Ralph's kinda hot.

  • thats not ralph thats matt

  • This morning, Oct 2, Democracy Now! had a good segment on the debates and the secrecy behind the commission that organizes them. You can watch/listen the 15 minute segment from their website (starting at about 29:37 minutes): democracynow(dot)org

  • man SCREW THE ELEPHANTS & DONKEYS, it's sad knowing enough ppl actually have hopes for either they didn't pick Kucinich, they've been depraved enough by the media, I mean look what happened when hillary wasn't given vp pick, they immediately jumped to palin, I can bet that anybody who supports mccain had no idea who palin was before she was even picked, sad exposure. If Nader & Gonzalez debated these 2 campaigns obama & mccain wouldn't stand a chance @ the popular vote, Nader/Gonzalez or Bust :D

  • We should have a 6 way debate, because there are 6 candidates who are on enough ballots to win.

  • I have the RIGHT to hear what Nader has to say during a debate as well as the other candidates... or do I? I thought I did. Who made these laws on who can and who can't? I don't remember voting on that. Do you?

  • The corporations have privatized your soveriegnty.

  • Ya I know, I just like popping off at the mouth every once in a while to see if they own my freakin balls too. It is not healthy for the corps to have that much power. They are by their very nature (greed) unable to handle the responsibility.

  • I want Nader to be let on the debates. I think we, as Americans, have a right to hear every viable candidate.

  • But. I will also say all political parties should be allowed in the debate. True democracy doesn't leave any voice out of the process.

  • Obama said that he believes the Iraqis should use their money to begin supporting their nation's security so that we can get out. Obama has also said that he would only consider nuclear if we developed safe ways of storing the waste and running the power plants. This guy is no different from the party politicians skewing the words of the candidates. Why should we vote Green party if they are going to lie to us too? Be honest and stand for justice.

  • He isn't the green party candidate. McKinney and Clemente is the green party ticket.

  • Obama and Mccain are political cowards for not debating Ralph Nader.

  • GO NADER/GONZALEZ 2008!!!

You have my VOTE in November.

Let Matt Gonzalez debate Biden and Palin on Thursday.

  • mccain/obama want this 700billion dollar corupt corporate bailout yet they will still vote for these idiots people need to wake up and vote NADER dont you people think if they cared for you they would do something about the high cost of fuel, food, medical care, insurance and do something about wages they vote pay raises down for you and up for themselves here we go agian HELL NO BAILOUT call your congress 1-800-828-0498

  • my friend, You are 100% Right!

America needs to WAKE THE F#@K up!

    I'm voting Nader/Gonzalez in November.

  • Good point why not allow others in debate?

  • Well put. Matt is an amazing speaker. Always vote independent!!

  • i love matt gonzales... he strikes me as such a straightforward, trustworthy politician... which is rare these days! if anyone's interested to know more about Obama's conservative agenda, check out Gonzales' article, "The Obama Craze," where he clearly explains the difference between what Obama says, and how he votes in Congress. VOTE NADER 08!

  • Nader is on 45 state ballots and, is not given a chance

in the televised debates. No democracy there!

The duopoly is afraid to debate Nader:

    * Next to NADER, the McCainObamAsaurus

may very well resemble a pull-string-talk toy!

    NADER/Gonzalez = WE the PEOPLE

    Democrat/Republican parties = THEY the CORPORATION$

  • Vote Independent!

Let's rid our government of this two-party system!

    Nader/Gonzalez 2008!

  • Anyway, it would have been better to be coming off an 8 year term of Al Gore thats my point.

  • listen to the end of his afganistan argument, what is it? We shouldnt have a surge option if the majority of citizens dont want it? I could have said "we dont want it," lol

  • your so deceptive, your attacking obama more than mccain, your first point we need option of troops in afganistan, second point is TERRIBLE "so they can spew their hatred" THAT IS NOT what obamas point was at all, third what is so bad about saying you want the option of nuclear, thats NOT the same as the republicans saying we want to go full out nuclear. Wrong on all of your stupid, poorly deceptive, unconvincing points you hack!

  • hyperrreal: CNN showed Nader in Florida taking more votes away from McCain than Obama. More than 1 poll has proven this. It makes sense if you realize two things: 1) McCain appeals to independents because of his "maverick" image and 2) both McCain and Obama supported the bailout, Nader oppsed it- which might appeal to some fiscal conservatives.

  • I would vote for McCain over Obama...if I wasn't voting Nader that is. You hit it right on the head, macousticboy. I liked McCain in 2000 cuz' of his maverick style. I would've voted for him over Gore if he had gotten the nomination. I voted Gore instead.

    Nader in '04.

    And Nader in 2008, baby!!!

  • I did exactly as you in 2000 (I should have voted for Nader....but felt that Gore needed every single vote possible...so I voted Gore) I regrted it ever since.

This 2008 election, I'm voting my conscience!I'm Voting for Nader/Gonzalez

  • You can get info on the 3rd party debates at breakthematrix . com (Remove spaces).

  • Everything he just said is bullshit. The french get 85% of their power from nuclear, and have never had an accident. Do some research before you go spewing your opinion. Furthermore, I agree with Obama. We should kill Bin Laden. I hate cowards like Nader and Gonzalez who think that no war is worthwhile. Sorry, there are some things worth fighting for, just not Haliburton. Eat it Nader/Gonzalez.

  • Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez aren't doing the progressive movement any favors, which is apparent when you find out they've been taking money and assistance from the Republican Party. I supported for Gonzalez in the SF mayoral elections, and it's a real shame to see that he's allowing himself to be used to as lackey for the GOP. Why else would he be attacking Obama directly in this video and not McCain at all?

If you vote for Nader/Gonzalez you might as well vote for McCain.

  • The NAder cmapaign takes no money from corperate entities. Please know your facts before posting.

  • That's not what I wrote. Please understand what you're arguing against before you respond.

Nader got on the Michigan and Oregon ballots and received hundreds of thousands of dollars with help from the GOP. Now he attacks Obama, but not McCain. How is Nader helping the progressive cause by spitting the liberal vote and getting Republicans elected?

Face it, Nader is the Alan Colmes of presidential candidates: a Republican stooge.

  • Nader is not splitting the liberal vote. Get your facts. Most of the people voting for Nader are independents or people who would not vote any way.

Polls also indicate that Obama does better when they INCLUDE Nader.

Try getting facts instead of regurgitating the democrats baseless fearmongering.

  • Yep. That's what they said in 2000 and 2004.

I'm not attacking Nader, I'm responding to Gonzalez' attacks on Obama - and his lack of aggressiveness against McCain. Independent progressives need to know who Nader/Gonzalez are: surrogates for the McCain campaign.

Google "Republicans help Nader". You'll get your facts there.

  • That's why Ron Paul endorsed Nader before McCain. That is, or you are, retarded. McBama are owned by the same people. Vote Nader all day, every day. Don't let petty divisiveness misguide you. McBama is for the bailout, Nader is not. You want your currency destroyed and riots in the streets? Choose McBama.

  • I'm yrying to make sense of you're comment, but it's futile waste of time attempting to decipher your uninformed babbling.

  • yea? research the 2000 election and look at Naders impact in that sagekat3, go ahead, write me back ill wait. Your dumb if you dont question it...if you dont question it? Thats sooooo dumb.

  • You stated no facts in your scartic generality. NAder and MAcain have similar views on the death penalty, the patriot act, single payer health care as well as many aspects on the war.

    These arefacts and not hype!

  • The surge is working. But no one knows if it will equal long-term success. I opposed the invasion of Iraq, but the far-left thinks pulling out and letting Shia kill hundreds of thousands of sunnis is the best solution. And Ralph Nader dumped out his stump speech on the Bill Maher show. As for Obama, his positions are nuanced. He knows you have to say certain things to win an election. Nader/Gonzalez would rather give us another Bush term than accept the real differences between the two.

  • Go to third party ticket dotcom regarding the 3rd party debates.

  • There will be a third party debate soon. Go to the NAder / Gonzales website for the link since I cant seem to post the link here.

  • Smart man.

  • Very smart.

  • We know what their positions on the war is. Barack wants to throw up the white flag and run home in defeat to make America and our military look real bad. McShame wants to stay fight and win. They have safe nuclear power plants all over France why can't we?

  • Way to go Matt.

  • Sign The Pledge for a Debate involving ALL major candidates at ThirdPartyTicket[dot]com

  • Our Country would be absolutely awesome if we had Nader/Gonzalez win. The American people need to do their research. Research "ALL" candidates running for president. Vote for the one that holds your goals for this country. For me, it is Nader/Gonzalez.

  • If God forbid, Mr Nader couldn't finish the term then I would be comfortable with Mr Gonzalas taking over as opposed to Sarah PAlin. Now please note, that's its not mean to be an insult to Sarah Palin rather I simply don't feel that she's in a position to run the country.

  • Wouldn't it be nice to have an intelligent, thoughtful, and sane Vice President once again. Thank you Matt Gonzales, for finally giving the American people a ticket to believe in.

  • Real answers and pro citizen !!!

What a great combination and choice for President.

  • Nader is running 3rd in the US presidential election and most people do not even know it! Ralph Nader could win this election if he was reported on by the media and if he was allowed in the debates.

The ruling class knows Nader could win that is why they are trying to keep people from hearing him.

    Vote Nader!

  • McCain and Obama are nothing more that big corporate puppets. Vote for Ralph Nader.

  • These people are leaders and of the things they do know, war is business and increases their personal status, wealth and standing. It is not pretty. They kill most everything in their path. It is somewhere between competition and mindless adversity. It is kink of like a meth addict but with the blessings of civilization or god or what have you.

  • if nuclear power is not safe i would like to see some evidence of this...hello france?

  • Obama and Mccain are both radical capitalist war criminal wannabees. I'm so glad Nader is in the race; the democrats will probably ruin their own campaign yet again, but they can't blame you anymore.

  • Ralph Nader needs to go away. His presence in politics coast America gravely in 2000. He couldn't make a splash in the Dmeocratic Party and is very bitter about it. Being the party of misfits will never attract Americans.

  • Um RAlph NAder never ran under the demmocratic ticket. Its interesting that attacks are made either are generalizations or inaccuracies. Nader has millions of supporters without aid of even close to equal coverage to Obama or McCAin or debate inclusion.

  • And I'm not being a shmuck when I say this, but I really think Nader picked a hispanic as a running mate, to try and gain relevancy, as he is running against a black man on the Democratic ticket--was the Palin pick made after or before the Gonzales pick? Anyway, the Palin pick was another counter to the historical nature of Obama's race. Not to make race or gender an issue, but just saying.

  • AllSmells, If Nader is so irrelevant why do you guys keep blaming him for costing the democrats the election? I mean how could he do that if he is irrelevant.

The democrats need a good kick in the pants and start acting like they are the party of the people or the deserve to lose. If I want to vote for a pro war corporate candidate I will just vote for a republican.

    Vote Nader!

  • Nader picked Gonzalez as his running mate -far- before the Dems chose Biden and the Repubs chose Palin.

Heck, he was announced on February 28, 2008 - before Obama was even a clear front-runner in the Democratic Primaries. That argument is completely senseless.

  • Its not senselss. The Democrats ALWAYS had either Hillary Clinton or Obama as a frontrunner; it was a historical thing to counter. Nader seems to have countered it. But I'm not saying that the possible race influence on Nader's decision making diminishes Gonzales. Gonzales diminishes Gonzales :).

  • You're right in that regard! :)

But Nader had chosen a female Native-American in 2000 and a Venezuelan in 2004 without any sort of mainstream "competition" in that regard, not to mention that Nader himself is a 2nd generation Lebanese.

It's sort of a third party thing to choose minority candidates (and in that regard, they're multiple decades ahead of the two corporate parties).

  • The thing is, part of the contex of a 2008 post Bush election, is the great desire for change, that it would be possible for a woman and a black man to be simultaneously viable for president. For all this country's hurrah over civil liberty, engrained bias against sex and race(including hispanics) are enough to tilt an election over race or sex alone. It is this post Bush malaise that makes it possible. Didn't know that about Nader, though. It would have been used against him had he been a threat.

  • Shut the hell up. As a mexican-american (and not this pale spaniard you're watching above), I find this "we choose minorities" nonsense to be condescending. It's as if to say, "We're picking minorities because we want to be politically attractive"

  • McCain cut and pasted stump speeches. What is Gonzales talking about? Obama repeated his positions, yeah, what do you expect, but McCain repeated slogans as "I wasn't elected Ms. Congeniality." Diplomacy is not effective w/o the military option on the table, in regard to regions as Pakistan and Afghanistan. It is Gonzales that is lying to the people, or if not lying, naive, when he refuses to acknowledge the complex nature of a broken represetnative democracy. Obama does acknowledge this contex.

  • I think I may have to vote for Nader.

  • You better vote for Nader if you want to have PEACE of mind. Matt is right Obama and McCain are both corporate whores and NWO puppets. Obama & McCain are cowards they are to afraid to have Nader and McKinney in the debates because they know they would look like IDIOTS.FASCIST US time to get rid of all of the scumbags and clean up DC.

  • Vote for Nader to create a 30 hour work week at 40 hours pays, to create 20 milion new jobs, for the returning vets and high school students.

  • Good point. Why on earth should Iraq have to pay for its own occupation when "we don't even know whether we should have gone into Iraq in the first place." This was Cheney and Rumsfeld's war on the cheap plan. We need a Marshall plan to put the Iraqis back on their feet again.

Did Obama flip-flop on wanting to end this war and not have a permanent base or occupation in Iraq?

  • OPEN THE DEBATES!!! NADER/GONZALEZ for 08!!!!!

    PEACE!

  • I'd love to see him debate Palin.

  • Pretty much anyone with half a brain could slaughter Palin in a debate. Gonzalez is articulate and would do a great job against any of them.

  • Oh, I know. Gonzalez is the best VP candidate out there. Palin seems like a drooling idiot. It would be a slaughter.

  • If you work with 1/2/3rd generation nuclear plants no wonder there are security issues. Blocking further investment into nuclear plants by daemonizing them while private businesses don't usually invest into security due to profit reduction just makes it worse.

If you do something you ought to at least do it right.

  • Wind power for the same amount of electricity is now far cheaper, despite arguments like capacity factor and windless days. Why would you go for the exceedingly complex answer.

  • "Wind power for the same amount of electricity is now far cheaper, despite arguments like capacity factor and windless days."

Source? Also don't forget that only 20% of energy will be supplied by wind in 2030.

Nuclear power gives France the cleanest air of any industrialized country, and cheap electricity 0,0522 €/kWh. Electricity exports generate over 3 billion euros of revenue a year. CO2 emissions are among the lowest in the developed world 10 tons of CO2 equivalents per person per year.

  • I understand France has inexpensive nuclear power. Most French nuclear power plants were built nearly 30 years ago and are nearly paid-for. Furthermore, the French power company is owned by the French government and gets interest-free loans to build nuclear power plants. A new nuclear power plant costs in excess of $12 billion dollars and has high operating costs. Also, the cost of decommissioning a plants is very expensive. Fuel has gone up 1000% in the last four years. Wind - 3 1/2 c/Kwh

  • What about the other 80% of energy America needs in 2030... where will that come from?

"Fuel has gone up 1000% in the last four years."

1000%??? I've checked and the prices are (sep 04) 17 USD/lb (sep 08) 58 USD/lb for U3O8 that's +341%. Also in absolute value 58 USD/lb is very cheap. Further increasing uranium costs don't affect the final price much.

    "Wind - 3 1/2 c/Kwh"

I'm sceptical about that number. Can you please provide a source so I can check the calculation?

  • The uranium price was at $7.00/lb for a long time and has been as high at $140. The reason you are able to claim that fuel costs don't matter is because the capital costs of nuclear power are so astronomically high.

GE Energy: "With a cost of energy of approximately 3.5 to 4 cents per kilowatt hour and *declining*, wind is a low-cost renewable energy source that is less expensive than coal, oil, nuclear and most natural gas-fired generation."

    tinyurl . c o m /4dksgo

  • Matt Gonzalez would make an exceptional VP. He's so well spoken and informed. Nader is on 45 stateballots, andis not given a chance in the televised debates. No democracy there...

    NADER/Gonzalez = WE the PEOPLE

Democrats and Republicans = THEY the CORPORATION$

    * Vote NADER/Gonzalez and We The People can win!

  • This Man IS 110%!

    OPEN The Debates!!

  • Matt Gonzalez is top notch. He makes Palin and Biden look like the corporate hacks they are.

    Go Nader/Gonzalez!!!

  • Thanks for sending me the vid. Matt Gonzalez makes a couple of very good points about the debate.

  • It that all you jackasses can say? Corporate? Capitalist? You leftwing pigs make me want to vomit.

  • Hmm, that was a very intelligent reply. It's a shame your failed education doesn't make you want to vomit.

  • Yes, it was intelligent. All I ever here from these fringe parties like this is the following arguement. 1. Corporations are evil (yes some are, but most aren't). Capitalism is evil (well if practiced incorrectly). America is an evil racist, imperialist country (um no. Sorry, we do have the right to get the people who did attack us, namely the Taliban and Al-Qaeda). So no, my education didn't fail me.
