  • Tail boom looks a Tad fragile

  • It seems that if one dove (tilted the rotor forward) quickly in forward flight that the air flow might be able to enter thru the top of the rotor and stall it (or even cause it to rotate backwards). Is that the case?

  • Wow very awesome flying. Loooks so beautiful in the air and in the ground. Is that a catholic father blessing the heli?

  • @jcer93705 Yeah, how's that for confidence in your aircraft?

  • @xjet

Very good I believe in prayers. Very good idea throwing holy water to the aircraft for extra protection. :)

  • @xjet

Oh I didn't read it right. Not that good because Flying on Sunday can be better than going to church as I'm always praying more when things go wrong in the air! LOL

  • cooool design! Please tell me: what´s the MTOW ?

  • Why is it called "UFO"?

  • Nice Machine, when the performances are to be tested and published?

  • THAT IS ONE OF COOLEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I WAS CHEERING OUT LOUD IN MY RECROOM DURING THE LIFTOFF AND THE LANDING LIKE I WAS THE PROUD OWNER OF THAT THING!!!!!! Makes me wish I had the money to play with to build something like that.

  • Truly inspirational stuff :))

Any particular reason all your tests and TO's/Landings were all done on the grass verge of the strip and not the tarmac?

    Q:)

  • @Quokka57 I believe that grass is a little more "forgiving" than tarmac and it also reduces wear and tear on the tires.

  • @xjet Ok...kewl. Just looked a bit 'bouncy' out there - but yeh, better to come a cropper on the grass than on the bitumen.. LoL

    Q:)

  • Fantastic, great stuff mate definitely a WIN!

  • Is it only the big tail and rudder trim which prevent the heli to yaw to left ?! , another question, the main rotor is tilted toward the tail that increases the drag, is that design energy efficient?

  • @abulmagd3 the reason why the main rotor is tilted towards the tail, gyrocopters fly like that. the rotor needs to get air from below in order to spin. in flight the rotor does not receive power from the engine and only wing makes it spin like a windmill. in fact, the most dangerous part of flying a gyrocopter is when the rotor gets wind from the top.yes, it creates a lot of drag but there is simply no other way how it could fly.

  • What do you think Bruce, will this ever be the replacement for the common car as we know it?

  • Is that a Subaru Turbo? Fully Sick mate. LOL

  • @400chevlc No, it's just injected.

  • In the U.S. you can buy the UFO from Anthony Croenlein of Phoenix RotorCraft. in North Carolina, call 919-340-0038 or E-mail him at swisstoolcraft@yahoo.com and Tell him Tim Heilig sent ya. Look for the UFO to be demoed this summer at your Local Gyroplane Fly-in's

  • Very nicely built. Great camera work as always. (you are good!)

  • God is your copilot? Goodluck with that. ;)

  • great vid X! what is the all up cost of something like that?

  • Looks like James Bond might like this flying machine.

  • dang that was awesome. I love your videos

  • wow, i hope some prick doesnt steal an awesome NZ design

  • Subaru car engine ..... i would want a toyota powering mine thanks

  • It isn't a 'UFO' if we know what it is.

  • "...Father, of the son, and the holy spirit. What's this, an oil cooler?"

    LMAO.

Also: an autogyro catching a thermal? Maybe it IS true what they say about soaring up there.

  • this is the new age in spy heli's small paint it black try to make the engine a little quieter and your making billions of dolllars

  • Good one!!!

  • nice

  • how much would i cost to build something like this?

  • Wow that thing is cool!

  • Yeah i like these sort of videos Bruce so please keep them coming mate, but don't think i would want the god squad chucking holy water all over my Auto-gyro if i had one that is,mind you it might come in handy ;-) thumbs up

  • Absolutely beautiful machine.. I am in love.

  • Awesome! Although, I think I'd feel safer if I DIDN'T know the blades were held on with that one, tiny little bolt! LOL (no, I know it's a high strength bolt) Great Video, very thorough!

  • @helipassion , that's what I thought. It looked more like a toothpick.

  • kinda looks like the old jetsons car to me =)

  • Looks dangerous

  • god in love being a kiwi
