@crankim20 correction - a population 4 times of new york city... and Canada has laws that require a % of Canadian content in broadcasting, thus, allowing smaller artists an opportunity to be seen by a larger audience without the backing of international labels. I'm certain that the talent found in any American town/city would match that of a Canadian town/city - but - just don't get the soap box to stand on to be heard.

@akcasama Don't forget an indy Canadian act can pretty much getting funding to record an album that can match any major label's output. If memory serves correct you can get up to 50% of the cost? Which is pretty good conisidering having an album mastered costs like 30 grand.

@Turpin77 I've heard several claims witth regards to its meaning. I've read suggestions that it's about urban decay, or white flight, and that supposedly in an interview Sebastien and Jesse said it was just a collection of childhood memories with no real theme. I've no idea which is correct.

Is that part that starts at 2:07 in 4/4? The rhythm doesn't sound even, it sounds to me like it alternates between 3/4 and 4/4 maybe? Anyone have any insight into this?

@N0rmad Yeah, it's in 4/4 and stays in common time throughout. They switch to playing consistent eighth notes instead of outlining everything with the quarter note beat. What makes it sound inconsistent is that the synth (? the higher long pitches) that's added at that point doesn't always change in time with the music. The reverb from the cymbals also gives that feeling as well.
