Most consumers are equally as accountable as the elected officials that create policies that allow legal protection of people who successfully distort any attempt to ensure everyone pays their fair share of taxes, but somehow only few prosper. Last time I looked, Wal-Mart had the same products as everyone else. So if Wal-Mart imports 70% of its products from China, then everyone else in America must be importing 70% of everything from China, too. Either that, or suppliers have to set up two factories- one in Chine exclusively for Wal-Mart, and one in America for everyone else. Which one makes more sense?

I cashed my check at walmart but that doesnt mean I'm going to use it there. Who is going to be stupid to cash their rebate checks somewhere else where they charge you like 20 or more dollars to cash it! Wake up man. Wal-Mart may not actually produce a single product, but their influence/demands for lower and lower prices from it's suppliers forces the suppliers to produce overseas, namely in China.

Google search Pillowtex and Wal-mart for one example.

Wal-mart starts doing business with a company. Then buys more and more from them, demanding more production if the supplier wants to keep doing business with Wal-Mart. Then once they've become the suppliers ONLY customer, they start putting the strangle-hold on the supplier to drop the price, drop the price, drop the price. When the supplier finally says, "We can't go any lower.", Wal-Mart says, "You should consider producing in China." Then 4,000 americans lose their jobs.........

It is a vicious cycle of greed that is the root of the whole thing. Greed from the supplier to make more money, so they get in bed with Wal-Mart. Greed from Wal-Mart to pinch every last penny out of their suppliers so that they can satisfy their stockholders.....
