would have clot khaan on canvas, oil on seat, looks lie backwards masking anachronyisms far flung sheen of flatulence This is piece has been given to me by Chuck Sheenie, hard breathing, on to to burlap linen PS out waters rogers cloth 2009 he's calling from future
Veuvecliquot, Sorry to disappoint you but we upgraded our security programs and I haven't been able to log on a paintersNYC for the last four months. Check the" Grand Reopening of 31 Grand", persons of interest appear.
Artboy2 and Ron, Gentlemen, it's pathetic that they would stop someone from giving their artists more exposure. It's all about the galleries exerting control. So long as there's no money being made from the reproduction or sales of the images, I foresee these policies changing both for the private galleries and for the museums as well. Read my July/August column in the Brooklyn Rail (available on line) for further discussion, and drop by the paintersNYC blog site, JK
Yeah, I agree, Artboy, it's not that James is infringing on copyrighted material, he isn't making any profit on it and he's performing a journalistic service that promotes the work for the gallery, stupid rules and stupid policies, and what about the constitution, it works for the president.
Such a shame you were prevented from filming the work in the back gallery at 303. I feel that is such a disservice to those artists on the part of that "no filming" policy. I really do not understand it. This material isnt an unlawful reproduction- its just further promotion. And what if you were a collector using the camera to document your gallery hop to remember works you may be interested in purchasing?
Anyway good job as usual! Thanks for doing this work which is all about the art!
