For anyone who is interested the video actually starts at the beginning of the lap, the start of the video is on old nordschleife first corner (before it got changed to its current form), the road that goes off to the right at 00:09 is the nordschleife. Sorry a bit random but i am trying to research the track and piece together its layout
Ich habe gelesen, es handelt sich bei diesen Onboard-Aufnahmen um den Fahrer und späteren Motorsport-Kommentator Rainer Braun. Er sollte für VW Onboard-Aufnahmen aus dem Formel V machen. Da die Kamera sehr teuer war mußte er als letzter Starten und durfte niemanden überholen. Woran er sich nicht ganz gehalten hat... erst vor Start/Ziel ließ er sich immer wieder zurückfallen. Steht in seinem Buch "Hallo Fahrerlager".
@Glubbmissionar: Nicht ganz... Das soll laut pro-steilstrecke.de Richard von Frankenberg sein, und der Camera-car ein getunter Porsche-Vee (Vee mit kleinerer Porsche-engine), der ausserhalb des Rennens auch mitfahren durfte).
