Your punch is too circular. There should be an arc return on the way back. But when it goes out, it must be completely straight. I firmly believe that anyone doing JKD should start with Wing Chun first. It will give you the foundation. All of Bruce's JKD principles will make sense. That's how Bruce taught it himself. You had to learn Jun Fan (modified Wing Chun) before you could learn JKD. Practice lots of straight blast using paper target and wallbag filled with rice or beans for power.

The hand is supposed to close at contact, you are supposed to do this drill on focus glove to feel contact, Bruce was against punching the air unless you were doing shadow boxing for cardio. Use the whole body not just the hips, put everything you have into it, but I would recommend to start with the Straight Lead its the bread and butter of JKD philosophy.

His body mechanics is not perfect, but its alright. As far as I know, there is no such thing as "on guard position" in JKD. His theory is sound, even if his execution is off. It honestly looks like you're trying to swat a fly. You must learn to properly shift your weight and tense the fist just at the moment of impact, even if it's just air punching. You must also step out and down with your lead foot for maximum power.

His body mechanics is not perfect, but its alright. As far as I know, there is no such thing as "on guard position" in JKD. His theory is sound, even if his execution is off. There is evident attempt in using his body as power instead of just the shoulder, as a lot of the modern "martial artists" would do. There is no highest level of combat, only differences in people that practice the arts. Maybe you should learn the philosophy too, not just the form, eh?

To get the most power, the parts closer to the impact point moves last. Of course foot moves before the hand for the better body mechanics.
There is no standard form. To take the essence within, to open one's mind to all forms of learning, is the true message of JKD.

Then you still don't understand. The highest level of combat, as Bruce Lee would agree if he were alive, is a fight that doesn't need to take place. If you understand the true concept of his teachings, you will learn that he advocates JKD as a self-discovery learning, instead of a hard set of rules and stances. Oh, sorry, I have got the wrong word before. Yes, Centripetal is going towards the body, Centrifugal is going towards target. Maximize centrifugal for strikes going out, and maximize centripetal for speed/power in a hook.

The "force" that Bruce Lee was refering to is the flowing energy of the body. Some call it chi, etc but it is an internal energy that you create.
It is believed that you can increase it through wingchun and tai-chi exercises. Basically all forms have a process for it in them.

This is not JKD!! He is punching from a collapsed un-fixced elbow structure and he is telegraphing terribly. He is also dropping the rear guarding hand (Wauum Pak).
This sadly ranks as one of the worst demo's of an attempt at Sijo Lee's Straight lead punch that I have ever seen, and if you know me I've see a fair few.
Further more this guy is Chinese, how embarrassing can it get?

ya i agree that your not showing Bruce's concepts. To addition to what JunFanJimi said with your hand placement and bad telegraphing, it looks more like your throwing a backfist not a lead. I'm not trying to make fun of you, but if your going to make a video about JKD, make sure you show the moves to people the correct way it should be executed.
