The new Athlon X2's, X3's and X4's are the same as Phenom II, but with disabled/less chache, like L3. And so they are cheaper and comsume less power compared to the phenom II's, but also small drop in overall performance.. imo it's still a great bang for you buck :].

no i dont FAIL, you FAIL, its a GTX 275, you dont even know how to word the name of the card properly, and the GTX 275 is is more expensive than the 4890, AND im talking about COMPUTE PERFORMANCE, not Frames Per Second in games, the 4890 beats every single GPU on the market today. the 4890 would also encode and decode video/audio faster, and it has more Unified shader cores, for more customizable computing code.

Actually, the 4890 is the fastest Single GPU on the market right now, NOTHING beats it, it has 1.3 Teraflops of compute performance, and the GTX 280 only has 960 Gigaflops. plus the 4890 is cheaper. You really should be more informed before you blurt out false information.

AM3 and the AMD Chipsets will never support Nvidia. The whole point for AMD is to have AMD processors on AMD chipsets with ATI grahpics, all run together better, than chopping between different company's. Sorry, but AMD chipsets will always and only support ATI.

Now AMD processor with Nvidia chips, well that's up to Nvidia. But Nvidia is starting to work on their own CPU's and in a few years, Nvidia will make their own set like AMD. Intel is doing the same.

I think that AMD should stop this crap and start doing something about many and many sites that are faking benchmarks against AMD products especially ATI graphics cards and harming the company.

Note,YOU "AMD" should fire some of your staff as an example the idiot

who has said in an interview with NVIDIA sponsored site PCGH that the 4890 is competing against the GTX260 while in reality the 4890 is the fastest GPU right now.

And please try to implement DX10.1 fully in some games...

If you want to know what customers want is a Phenom II based dual core monster to compete against the E8400 and such.

compare the prices of e8400 and the phenom II, 20$ for more cores does more than compete.

and most of the newer games are beginning to use 4 cores

Phenom II X2 500 series is coming out in June/July :) Also the Athlon II X2, X3, X4 are coming soon too.
