I've actually had similar problems with my real copy of Super Mario Bros... I fixed the problem, it's a pin connection problem, which caused glitches more odd than this! In fact, my NES is still in several pieces, but still works! :)

WAit, does CORRUPT work with NEStopia? I would get FCEUX, but it glitches me the fuck up. I load SMB1, and it gets me a rom hack for SMB3, and it always chooses a different rom hack at random.

If you think about corrupting i would recommend fceux for the emulator. For some reason it seems to work more often and show even more corrupted content than other emulators even without game genie codes turned on

If you're on Vista run the program as an administrator.

Also make sure that you unzipped the ROM.

if it says there is a program missing, check to see if you have the proper emulator to run the game, and if it is compatible with CORRUPT. if all of this is cunfirmed and it still does not work, then it may just be the download
