@dusstinc Well actually it depends on the player. If they play junior in one state then play senior footy in another state you can choose which state you wanted. Matt Rogers played his first Senior footy in NSW but because he was born and raised in QLD he chose to play for QLD. GI is eligible for both NSW and QLD but he chose to play for QLD which in my mind makes him a queenslander, you can't force a player to play for a state he doesn't want to play for.
@Valeman31 josh dugan jamie soward and akuila uate all make debut for NSW in 2011. soward an dugan born in ACT uate born in fiji. if gonna complain bout inglis you might wanna consider NSW do it aswell. even former players such as timana tahu (VIC) willie mason (NZ) peter sterling and ken nagas (QLD) james mcmanus (scotland) see NSW arent exactly clean in this either. so get over it. would you want someone playing for NSW if there passion is for QLD? i wouldnt
@nugngi New South Wales is considered as the ACT and Victoria. He was born in new South Wales means he should play for new south wales. Just because he wants to play for queensland means he can. Thats just bull shit and all round defeating the purpose of STATE OF ORIGIN.
@Valeman31 you say it's meant to be STATE of origin yet the act is a territory not a state and should have nothing to do with STATE of origin and VIC is a completely different state that is outside of QLD and NSW so that should have nothin to do with it either so ya can drop those 2. inglis played his first senior game in the state of QLD which gave him the option of playing for NSW or QLD he chose QLD. i didnt see anyone complaining bout it when he chose QLD 6 years ago but now its a big deal?
At 0:50 that is the most amazing thing I had ever seen live! I was about 30 meters away from it

The team you play for in origin is determined by where you played your first Senior game of rugby league, not where you were born
