Unfortunately having a great memory is not very useful today because we can get facts instantaneously using the internet. A real genius like Einstein is able to think creatively, outside the box, etc. We'll just have to wait and see if this kid really has what it takes.

@Zenthos01 Yes, on a lower level we think the same (like 1s and 0s in a computer) but at a higher level VERY different... (like the operating system). For example: a number genius can see a matrix of numbers into the 100.000s (like Pranav with dates probably), someone with perfect memory (in fact some Russian guy) saw a whole city, and started to forget things because (for example) placed a white egg in front of a white wall... I think that's pretty unique...
I'm not really seeing the genius here..the weekdays in years is a calculation,if he has a higher intelligence quotient than most adults,shouldn't they ask difficult questions? my brother taught himself calculus at five so I guess im'a tough critic :/ but hey,he's kinda smart....

@chunktuff in the video he displays an overly dominant left brain. look at how he memorizes and organizes information that is all the job of the left brain. he has high capabilities for left brained western education. and will do good in western education.but being a genius is not something taught in schools. you have little understanding of the left brain right brain concept. @chunktuff They Were intelligent with both The Creative Side and the Logical Calculating side. most people today only master one side which is limiting to intelligence. Leonardo Davinci and Micheal Angelo were both one of the greatest Artist, Master Mathematician, Master Architect, Master Sculptor, which is a sign of True Intelligence and correction.. the news report is about a "genius kid". . this kid may be smart but he's definitely not a genius.

@chunktuff so now lets take the milk scenario and turn it around properly. lets say someone doesn't know what milk really is but they say there is milk in the fridge because someone said they saw the milkman come by today. so even if they checked, they wouldn't be able to tell if there was milk in the fridge or not. so if you needed to know when the milk was in the fridge would that person be a reliable source? probably not.
@Zenthos01 in this analogy i'm just going to assume the milkman is the invention or show of ability and the milk in the fridge is the persons intelligence.. i have no way of knowing that but it would be the logical conclusion of course.. but in the end i still don't know that

IQ does not prove that you will make a greater difference to the world. all he is doing is memorizing a bunch of useless facts. that doesn't help you solve any problem in the world. and IQ higher than Einstein? it wasn't because of how fast Einstein thought that made him a genius but it was the way that he thought that was different from other people. obviously this kid is using traditional style education which makes him no different.
@Zenthos01 A higher IQ MEANS BY DEFINITION you think different! I can tell u from 1st hand experience... but concerning traditional education, it might slow him down just to try to fit in... (again from 1st hand experience...) He should go to a school with other geniuses who have the same way of thinking, so he won't feel too different.
@AibajaBoy no IQ does not mean you think different. we all think the same. it just means you are sharper and think faster..... so higher IQ-more sharp and faster thinking... low IQ, not so sharp and not so fast at thinking....
and btw what I mean to say is there is a lot more to intelligence then just an IQ test. (not that IQ is not important), an IQ test can give us an idea of how sharp this person is. but intelligence is a lot more then just numbers...
@Zenthos01 you didn't mention that high IQ have way larger capacity for long term memory and are more creative. Also high IQ doesn't mean that a person is sharper. I have high IQ but I used to be so dull. A person's sharpness depends on mind clarity, emotional and physical health... To think different and be original is to be a genius and gifted in some area...
@sekula1999 well a person with bad emotional, physical and mental health is also gonna score low on for IQ ,and being sharp means having good focus and memory. and a high IQ does not mean you are more creative, might I add that most creative people usually score lower... where did you get that information? especially the IQ tests these days are mainly for the left side of the brain and do not test creativity and remember IQ tests are made by people too with.

I'm not sure you understand creativity or inteligence, Tesla was creative, Einstein was creative, creativity is like coming up with different ways of use for things. @sekula1999 and as you can see... creativity doesn't get measured in IQ tests. and that is why it was possible for this kid to score so high in IQ. because when you watch this video you can see there is no thinking or creativity involved at all.... just memorization. and people like this that are just good with memorization and numbers but dead in creativity are gonna score high on an IQ test. it doesn't mean you are a genius. so therefore IQ is the measurement of speed of thought.

1 idk if he's a genius because he can't stay concentrated on wtf he is being asked, or what he is saying. 2 memorization does not mean your a genius it only means your as valuable as a $70 computer chip, but creativity on the other hand does mean a lot!

@Zenthos01 Yes, on a lower level we think the same (like 1s and 0s in a computer) but at a higher level VERY different... (like the operating system). For example: a number genius can see a matrix of numbers into the 100.000s (like Pranav with dates probably), someone with perfect memory (in fact some Russian guy) saw a whole city, and started to forget things because (for example) placed a white egg in front of a white wall... I think that's pretty unique...

@chunktuff in the video he displays an overly dominant left brain. look at how he memorizes and organizes information that is all the job of the left brain. he has high capabilities for left brained western education. and will do good in western education.but being a genius is not something taught in schools. you have little understanding of the left brain right brain concept. @chunktuff They Were intelligent with both The Creative Side and the Logical Calculating side. most people today only master one side which is limiting to intelligence. Leonardo Davinci and Micheal Angelo were both one of the greatest Artist, Master Mathematician, Master Architect, Master Sculptor, which is a sign of True Intelligence and correction.. the news report is about a "genius kid". . this kid may be smart but he's definitely not a genius.

@Zenthos01 but who knows if he can juggle? it's just not useful/important to the news story and they don't care for it.. and speaking of western education i know just how bad it really is.. in fact i hardly even went through it (i just kinda quit before the 5th grade) and could nearly ace the final high school tests.. it really isn't special and we could do without it entirely.. i would probably consider it even detrimental in some ways and i'm glad i didn't go through most of that useless junk

@chunktuff well use ur left brain and figure.. this kid is pretty much a good student. being a genius is on a totally different level. and juggling is irrelevant to the subject and has no relation to intelligence. however A Balanced or Whole mind thinker is related and is a sign in most "real" geniuses. People Like Leonardo Davince and Micheal Angelo have never been mentioned as geniuses by the media. they were geniuses .their work shows how intelligent they were.

@chunktuff so now lets take the milk scenario and turn it around properly. lets say someone doesn't know what milk really is but they say there is milk in the fridge because someone said they saw the milkman come by today. so even if they checked, they wouldn't be able to tell if there was milk in the fridge or not. so if you needed to know when the milk was in the fridge would that person be a reliable source? probably not.

IQ does not prove that you will make a greater difference to the world. all he is doing is memorizing a bunch of useless facts. that doesn't help you solve any problem in the world. and IQ higher than Einstein? it wasn't because of how fast Einstein thought that made him a genius but it was the way that he thought that was different from other people. obviously this kid is using traditional style education which makes him no different.

(again from 1st hand experience...) He should go to a school with other geniuses who have the same way of thinking, so he won't feel too different.

and btw what I mean to say is there is a lot more to intelligence then just an IQ test. (not that IQ is not important), an IQ test can give us an idea of how sharp this person is. but intelligence is a lot more then just numbers...

@Zenthos01 you didn't mention that high IQ have way larger capacity for long term memory and are more creative. Also high IQ doesn't mean that a person is sharper. I have high IQ but I used to be so dull. A person's sharpness depends on mind clarity, emotional and physical health... To think different and be original is to be a genius and gifted in some area...

@sekula1999 well a person with bad emotional, physical and mental health is also gonna score low on for IQ ,and being sharp means having good focus and memory. and a high IQ does not mean you are more creative, might I add that most creative people usually score lower... where did you get that information? especially the IQ tests these days are mainly for the left side of the brain and do not test creativity and remember IQ tests are made by people too with.

you can download it from the internet. they bring together very intelligent people with different occupations. such as the chess master vs rocket scientist it also unveils a lot about human Intelligence and IQ tests

I'm not sure you understand creativity or inteligence, Tesla was creative, Einstein was creative, creativity is like coming up with different ways of use for things. Where do I get information??? from my senses, I'm perceptive, I see inside people. People with bad health will give bad performance, not score low, iq is set, health is not.

@sekula1999 I know Einstein was creative in fact his thinking was so much different from what we consider to be our "logical smart thinking" that he actually flunked out of school and his teacher thought he was a failure. but it wasn't that he was stupid it was just that he was a more out-of-the-box kind of thinker. so anyways his mother took him out of school and taught him his own style of learning. well it only makes sense that bad performance makes you score low on IQ btw

@sekula1999 and as you can see... creativity doesn't get measured in IQ tests. and that is why it was possible for this kid to score so high in IQ. because when you watch this video you can see there is no thinking or creativity involved at all.... just memorization. and people like this that are just good with memorization and numbers but dead in creativity are gonna score high on an IQ test. it doesn't mean you are a genius. so therefore IQ is the measurement of speed of thought.

@Zenthos01 well sure that's all you see here (aside from him running around and playing like a normal little kid.. i'm sure that helps in some way) but i think to say that he doesn't use his right brain is at best a slightly educated guess.. you don't see what they don't show you and what they care about is his left brain abilities so of course you wouldn't see him using his right brain in this video or probably anywhere else either unless you knew him personally

@chunktuff evidence?? this Kid is only rated as a genius by his IQ. IQ has nothing to do with imaginative skills or creativity. does not guarantee they will accomplish more. there are plenty of Adults with high IQs who's accomplishments are less then impressive.
Everybody has a dominant side of the brain. and this kid being a left brain, enabled him to score high on the IQ test. its pure science.
so its more like where is the evidence that this kid really is a genius.

@chunktuff the evidence speaks for its self. this kid is doing LEFT BRAINED western education. which many get carried away in and become left brain dominants like you and me. and creativity is limited when you are a left brain dominant.

@chunktuff The evidence that this kid is a genius is weak. IQ has nothing to do with The Right side of the brain. so therefore we don't know if this kid really is a genius or is just blown up by the media.
if you want to talk about evidence. this kid shows no sign of above average intelligence in this video. and yes most definitely people can balance both sides of the brain to reach a state called whole brain thinking. and btw did you read the comment history of mine and sekula199?

@Zenthos01 no at first i did not.. i went back and read it later though but decided to not mention it.. also i don't remember saying this kid is actually really smart one way or another.. i simply don't know that.. "you are a true left brain" what does that even mean?.. "Einstein said that Imagination is the true sign of intelligence" i guess that's einsteins official word on the matter but wouldn't that make kids basically the most truly intelligent humans? i'm not saying i agree or disagree..

IQ tells little about true intelligence. there is so much more..... and I can see you are a true left brain. you're all about measuring stuff up like evidence. but unfortunately not all things can be measured on a physical level. but it doesn't mean it's not real.... a limitation to left brain thinking.
