I hate goign to the dentist. I'm going tomorrow afternoon.. HELP! I 'm deathly afraid of dentists. My dentist is really nice and he only does what needs to be done, nothing extra just for money. I'm not scared of HIM, I'm scared of what he DOES. D:

@12GaugeLosAngeles I agree. I was told when I was 16 that I had a cavity but I had experienced no pain or sensitivity. That day I got a cheap amalgam fill in and the dentist did a crappy job. He drilled my tooth in the most unprofessional manner. I think he did it because he would get more money out of it.

i just noticed a very very small dark spot on my molar that has a sealent on it. I thought it was a piece of food but when i brushed my teeth and tried to pick it off it's still there. Do i have a cavity and if i don't what is the black spot?

Yes, It's a cavity. I advise you to go see your dentist immediately, or if you wait long enough, It'll go into the pulp. When that happens, say goodbye to your tooth.  I'm proof, because two of my molars are gone on one side. See your dentist, friend.

There is 2 blue spots on my teeth. I'm 13 and I still am lacking 12 year old molars. One on top is coming in and I can actually feel my teeth moving roots and all. Thares a big Black spot on my tooth since first grade. Sombody help me

@on3m4n55 I do, I brush like three times a day...Once in the morning, once before work the days I gotta work, and once at night...I still seem to get like 1 or 2 cavities a year...

Actually I got insurants Im fine with the paying I just wanted to know if im too late to have my teeth fixed the cavity has already reached the root canal of my teath I think cause it hurts.

so many dentist are not honest and will not tell you everything. they will wait until your cavaty is real big or bad then charge you a lot to fix it. its hard to find an honest dentist.

IMHO, my dentist tends to over-drug me so I'm pretty numb throughout and after the procedure; he's also a funny guy which is a bit awkward when I'm not trying to laugh. Last time, he had me with the Mr Bean bit at the dentist.

@EmilyBelemily I understand mate, I'm becoming a dentist myself to change that.... M sure ur xprience musn't b as bad as mine... I had a tiny pit cavity in my maxillary 2nd premolar n the doc drilled my 1st premolar....I was so mad at him that i wanted to drill all his teeth, its been a while now n i jus cant stop being upset abt it... he didn't treat my cavity n drilled an absolutely healthy tooth. my teeth are hriditically decay resistant that dcay was cuz of mineral deficiency...

@EmilyBelemily I want my natural tooth back so bad that I'm working really hard on regrowing dentin thruout enamel. I swear I'll get mine and evryone's unnecessarily drilled teeth back, i sound like a tooth obsessed gal here but this really need to stop... tooth decay is common n not curable jus manageable n treatable...man its gotta b healable!.

well if yu wnt to get ur mouth healthy u shud brush ur teet 3 time a day after every meal u have using a tooth paste called sensidine because it renews the enamal of yur teeth also chew gum everyday to remove plaque from causin cavities i recommend u purchase trident soft with xytole. this way will help ur mouth become reely healthy believe me.
