  • We have a large Amish population in SE Ohio. The ones we know are friendly.

  • Wish i was amish! :)

  • I LIVE IN OMISH COUNTRY!

  • @MrHotwheelsfan1 sure...

  • lovely video

  • @OMGitsMalcolm Why, thanks!

  • amish mostly come at night, mostly

  • "it has the largest amish population IN THE WORLD" like there are so many amish populations in all the other countries

  • @belkys13 Actually there are pockets of Amish in many countries - a pretty big one in Ecuador, for example.

  • this is actually where i live. if your'e a tourist i have 2 things to say:1:go to heini's cheese factory in bunker hill village (which is actually on my road). 2: once you have lived with the amish all your life, they are not really admirable and get annoying. my dog died because my amish neighbors carelessly through their garbage outside and my dog ate a ton of it ( and no dog can resist the temptation). but its still nice. a local high school (hiland high school) is in the state tournaments.

  • Holmes County sucks.I'm so glad i'm only adjacent from that ugly county.

  • Thank you for this nice, honest video about Amish land and life! Jeroen

  • @JeroenSitV Thank you so much!

  • Very nice video, Robin. I live in NE Iowa where we have a very significant Amish population. Plenty of Yoders and Millers here, too, mixed in with some Herschbergers and the best natural honey around! Harmony, MN is just over the border and many Amish folk are very generous with their low prices on processing our organic, free range chickens (Only $1 per bird and she even freezer wraps them!) .

Final comment. I couldn't help but notice it must've been a little chilly? :40 ;-)

  • @camomule Wow, good deal on the chickens. I heard lots of Amish are moving out west..

  • @RobinBenzle Great vid a peaceful eden..the race of modern life is not there .technology controls our lives

the simple humble practical ways of life, are the way God wanted us to live. i think.people today dont believe in god .we have complicated everything to the point of insanity..

    Peace..

  • @5tonyvvvv It's a great place to escape to for awhile!

  • I wonder if i can be Amish just a couple months out of the year, can they make moonshine n stuff?

  • I can't thank you enough for creating, then posting this! Your warm, good-hearted nature shines through, and your footage displays the beauty of these bucolic settings. I especially enjoyed how you said: 'to admire but not envy' the way of life. I want to thank you again for taking the time to give us this little gem!

  • @CuriousEarthMan Thanks so much for your comments! Amish Country is a facinating part of our culture..

  • Also I live in the part of holmes county, where there is only 1 amish family on the entire ridge!!! French Ridge!

  • I live there and when I go to cleveland,I want to live there because the country sucks, especially holmes county.Yes,I live in Holmes County, but I never go outside,I have more than over $7,203 worth of technology at home to keep me away from the outside of Ft Fizzle,Holmes County,Ohio!

  • same here brotha

  • @benjammin8807 - im not a guy

  • U have the best video on Amish I have ever come across on U Tube. Ur presentation is very clear and smooth ...keep it up with more details and elaborate this topic as much as u can, would love to see them all or any thing similar.

  • Nice Girl at Cheese Store! :)

  • damn str-8

  • I've always wondered, if Amish don't believe in electricity, then how do they built the farms by hand, or wrap the cheese in the wrappers...?

  • They use gas generators to power large saws, but the buildings are all put together by hand. They all help each other build, so you'll see many men at one building site. At the cheese stores, not all who run them are Amish.

  • @SpicyMcMan The Guggisberg Cheese is not made by amish... they do provide the milk however....

  • When they see me talking to cows, well maybe..

  • You do realize they(Amish) probably think your a nut?

  • Thanks! That, I would love.

  • Love the video Robin. You need a show own cable!

  • on cable! LOL
