  • All I Wanted Was A Proper Shower You Know! WWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAWAW WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • I shower every other day too, mostly because shampooing your hair every day is harmful and can dry out scalp just as soaping daily can dry out skin. So long as you clean your no no parts every day, you don't have to shower daily but please, no more than a day or two between

  • can a boy shower with there mom

  • It's May. Finally! Shower month...

  • my my showers have changed since my day

  • this is like howcast lol shower every other day? what if you have sex? i suggest you shower afterwards lol

  • I hang my towel up right on top of the shower, since you're clean when you use it anyway. It's dry 24 hours later.

  • every other day?

  • I know eww! That's nasty!

  • the worlds gonna end by 2012 anyways,,,shhhhiittt im staying clean

  • shiiit yea

  • Suprisingly, the time it takes to warm up the pipe using this method is negligibly longer. During which time you can brush you teeth using the same trickle.

No time lost, major savings in water and energy.

  • The way to reduce this waste to almost 0% is like this:

For the warm-up-the-pipes phase, turn your shower on so there is only a trickle falling straight down. Why only a trickle? Two reasons, 1. more effecient heat exchange from the water to the pipes (the water is in contact more time with the pipe to transfer most of its heat) 2. a straight-down trickle will allow you to capture this clean water in a bucket so you can use it to water your plants or grass.

  • Another way to save even more water and energy:

25% of the water (and energy) wasted every time we take a shower is during the "run the water until hot" phase before we walk in.

  • shower every other day??? GROSS

  • Great video!

I turned down my energy efficient water heater and use a low-flow showerhead. Next, I want to buy a chlorine filter for my shower head!

My shower time is down to 5 minutes - which I need to reduce further since I often take 2 a day!

I do the thing where I turn the water off to soap, loofah my back and let the conditioner soak into my hair - then one final rinse and I'm DONE!

Also- hanging your towels up to dry someplace sunny kills germs and keeps them fresh longer!

  • really?

  • we pay for our water if we take a shower or a bath dont materr

  • DId you have to take a bath this time of day!?

    LOL

  • ha... i want a co ed shower at my school.

  • lol same!!! that would be so awesome!

  • wow, perv!

  • I have had a vynl curtain forever... the same one...vinegar and baking soda keeps it perfectly clean.... I'm not about to throw it out until it's dead.

Didn't like the no vynal and that's final thing - I think throwing something out just to update the material? That's something only a stupid consumer does.

    I hate preachy environmental stuff.

  • Not saying this from a soap box, but vinyl is toxic. It's manufacture, use and disposal all emit toxins. The best thing to do is not to buy vinyl.

    Ok, sermon over.

    Commence showering.

  • Yes that might be so but you're not getting the point. My curtain is OLD... I've had it for a while.... do you promote making more garbage by not utilizing what you already have and maintaining it? Why should I add my existing curtain to the dump if it already functions and is not ready to die yet? I'll consider something else if I ever have to replace this thing but I honestly doubt I'll be replacing anything any time soon.

The video was supposed to be on water conservation...

  • oh and yes... you are saying it from a soapbox.

Learn that consumerism is just as evil for the planet than what YOU call green living.

  • Oh Umbra, so silly.

  • How bout shower with the tub clogged and when it gets half way full and you still need more water use the water in the tub:)

  • I definitely turn the water off while I lather. It just washes the soap off too quickly -- even if I weren't an environmentalist, I would still do it!! It's not even cold since there's steam! I

  • I take a "sponge" bath with no more than two gallons of water. After a few weeks, I stopped missing the long water-wasting showers.

  • yea umm... my regular showers are about 30 minutes. But I can't help myself, I love the water=[

  • If your showers take 30 minutes, then you would save water by taking a bath! And if you think it's gross, just take a 1 minute shower to rinse off after your bath.

  • Thanks for the advise but since I can't take baths (no bath tube) I think I'll just soak, turn the water off while soaping, then rince lol

  • Showering is over rated.

  • I know all people in the group shower looool

  • I'm in the group shower scene!

  • I know when i'm in a rush in the morning I wanna haul in my buds with me

  • Shower with friends?
