Anyways, cool tuneage. I did read some Cubase tips somewhere, where it said not to have the loudest sound reach above halfway of the faders. But I'm guessing everyone has their own way of doing things. Thx for posting this vid.

Its a good bit of work, i'd strongly suggest side chaining a compressor on your bassline and use your kick (just your kick track) as your trigger to give it that pumping club effect.
Other then that, it sounds like its well on the right track.

i used camtasia to record the screen of cubase, then i pasted the exported mp3 of the melody under the video. For the beat i used vengeance essential clubsounds vol.1 samplepack. For the main melody as you can see in the video, Nexus and Z3ta+. And of course a little bit of mastering but not very much cuz its only a little preview. Check out my video: LocoSight - Get the Sun. In this one I spend more time on mastering and stuff.

T racks is good, but when i do my stuff, I tend to use Waves Rcomp and MaxVolume instead of the Tracks built in comp and hard limiters :)

if i open a plugin in FL with any preset and play the sound, and if i make the same in cubase, it sounds in cubase much better...

I just used a mastering plugin with a compressor, and a brickwall limiter in this case.
I have to say that i didnt know much about mastering when i made this melody.
When i watch it know i am kinda embarassed which awfull job i did concering the mastering^^
But everyone starts from zero. ;)

id deffinatly recomend fruity loops to get you started. but id recomend aquireing it a different way than paying. then once you can use fruity loops

its not 'gay', but it is a very comercial, cheesy track, like basshunter.
its hard to say what would make it appeal to to the proper dance music fans, probably because i dont know how to make the stuff in the first place.
however, perhaps the pitch is slightly too high, and the notes to short and staccato.
anyway, its awesome for the style that it is :)
