  • I wish I was Hugh Laurie... Imagine being Stephen Fry's best friend. :)

  • @wolfxbloed thank you so, so much; I live in Japan and being able to watch these is so nostalgic and of course hilarious... thank you thank you :)

  • "One merely wonders, sir." :D

  • You wouldn't mind if I migrated to this comment page would you? You're all absolutely marvellous!

  • I kind of wish I were that dog in the car scene

  • Is Tuppy Glossop a relationship of Honoria Glossop et al?

  • @LeBubblesSan : Yes, Honoria's dad is Tuppy's uncle.

  • As you may notice that Wooster is not replacing his ball after the dog steals it and barriers it in the bunker. In this case he should proceed after rule 18-1 witch stats that if a ball in rest is moved by an outside agency, he must replace the ball with no penalty. Since he falls to so its a 2 stoke penalty. I'm sure that Jeeves, as a butler knows this, and will have added the stokes to his score for the hole.

  • @jojes03 Jeeves is not a BUTLER, he's a VALET.

  • @LeBubblesSan You are absolutly right :)

  • Oh my! This is the most decent comment page I have seen so far. Go show by the way...

  • May I just say, it's great to see classy comments on YouTube! :D You are my kind of people.

  • @Holychickendinner -- This is the only place on YouTube where people know how to spell, type, punctuate, use correct grammar, and avoid words that rhyme with "muck".

  • @KevinByrne2 I'm so glad to see some decent people for a change :o)

  • @KevinByrne2 One finds she has the feeling of an imaginary Jeeves looming over her shoulder, making somewhat disapproving noises if she happens to spell something wrong, and suspects other commenters must feel the same way. Though I must admit I've never been one of those whose IQ drops some 27% when commenting on YouTube anyway.

  • @LeBubblesSan -- Indeed, miss. One must aspire to meet the lofty standards of one's servants.

  • @KevinByrne2 If everyone had a disapproving Jeeves looming over them, the internet would be 2o% more legible (even Jeeves is not a miracle worker).

  • i loved this show when it was on tv, but .... well that is the question....When WAS it on? I don't remember, and I cannot read the Latin numbers at the end. Can someone tell me which years these series ran from?

  • @ajwasp 1990-1993

  • Thanks very much for uploading these, they're wonderfull!

  • The use of mirrors and reflection in this programme is often astoundingly good. Sometimes it's even only just a hand, or partial face - just the salient point!

    Marvellous.

  • Bertie Wooster is ninja! I find it so hard putting trousers on over my shoes :L.

  • One cannot help but appreciate the repressed Freudianism of the barking Macintosh's location.

  • thanks awfully for posting these old chap...you're a corker!!

  • My second time around, watching the entire season here. My favorite bit is Berty's use of period slang terms.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • I love how unnatural Stephen Fry looks walking the dog at the start

  • oh my gosh!! It's my doggy!

  • Like all great media, music and entertainment everything great ended in 1994. Memories of wonderful shows on Tele. From ITV, Classic BBC, the Thames company and more. I remember the kids show the Amazons, wanted a river boat; then it hit me African rivers have crocs and hippos lol. Thanks for posting mate.

  • As a young boy in my native Zambia I remember watching this classic and well written show.

  • I think incredibly highly of this show. I have seen every episode multiple times and in fact my cellphone ring tone is the theme song. What a joy to watch, thanks for posting it.

  • 'golf isnt suposed to be fun!!' perfekt discription

  • So funny the talk about Miss Wickham here you would think Wodehouse got the name from Jane Austen as Pride and Prejudice had a 'Wickham' who was just as crafty as this Miss Wickham

  • I love the way Steven moves :D it's so graceful and quirky

  • awww the doggie's cute

  • In the event of a dog half-burying your ball, do you have to play it from there?

  • hitting that ball into the trees and everything took some skill. hahaha

  • Hugh Laurie plays the role of House so brilliantly that I had no idea he was an Englishman until I saw an interview with him.

  • this one reminds me of 'Clicking of Cuthbert' which was a hard read as I know nothing of golf. I have played miniputt as good as I get. I wonder if that gadget of Barmy's really still exists anyone know?

  • @wolfxbloed thanks so much for putting these videos up, and being so knowledgeable. i trust you are as classy and intelligent as jeeves himself.

  • @spicyxlilxman Oh I say old dear. Splendid of you to say so. I endeavor to give satisfaction.

  • @wolfxbloed indeed good show! you are a man among gentlemen!

  • At 8:56. the flower covering.. a certain spot, shall we say, on the statue in the garden..these funny side bits are the icing on this silly, silly cake. Can't wait to get to Gussie and his newts..

  • "gotta take the hound for a walk"...I always laugh when people call fluffy little pooches like that 'hounds' XD seems so unfitting

  • Macintosh irritated Bertie into being a PC.

  • I didn't arrive somewhere once! Most extraordinary thing!

  • Stephen Fry is the only gay guy I'd do it with. And I'm straight.

  • Hugh Laurie is so unlike House in this role. He is also without the brilliant American accent. I have to say, I like him best as an Englishman though.

  • @BlankCanvas88 hes always been an englishman to us, the house thing just seems absurd.

  • Hugh Laurie is so unlike House in this role. He is also without the brilliant American accent. I have to say, I like him best as an Englishman though.

  • Rofl@Jeeves picking up a a handfull of sand before he has even ever seen Wooster play golf haha

  • god i actually love this. jeeves constant composure with a tiny amount of exapersation at times is just fantastic :D

  • Look at the way he walks the dog at 0:23! XD

  • "Distressingly Willfull" LOL he really loves the dog I am sure as later on he does seem fond

  • Im 20 years old and american, why the fuck can't I stop watching this?

  • @Stantzs Try being twice your age! try the books as well they are a riot, audiobooks especially

  • @rileyandstella I'm going to!!

And Stantzs, I'm american and sixteen. I don't know about you, but I can't stop watching cause its amazing. :)

  • That's the thing about classics, they can hook anyone! Also, Fry and Laurie are delightful in all things and particularly well suited to a bit of patter. Add a nice little Westie to the mix and the vortex is complete...

  • @Stantzs because this is good stuff!

  • that dog is awesome!!!

  • Действительно пары являются неповторимый

  • I second that ILiveThisWorld, but dash it all, why the russian?

  • эта пара неподражаема!))))

  • At 8:57, i thought Laurie was wearing a G-string! Which would be very amusing if he was.

  • "Golf isn't intended to be fun, Roberta!" True (8:19)

  • Stephen Fry's acting is just fantastic in this. The amount of sarcasm that drips from every "indeed, sir" has me laughing out loud every time. He somehow manages to squeeze several lines of implied dialogue into those two little words.

  • Jeeves is obviously Bertie's carer, in every sense of the word. But, despite his stupidity, you always want things to go right for Bertie anyway!

  • Yes, it`s hard not to love Bertie`s `Thingness``

    and Jeeves for his Cunningness!

  • Very true!

  • If you cut Stephen Fry he would bleed pure classiness.

  • Comment removed

  • @therealkraas so true...but i don't know anyone who would dare cut him. :)

  • @therealkraas If you cut Stephen Fry, he'd have a polite word with you about it.

  • @JesusKrispies Very true. It's just a figure of speech though, I could never do that n_n

  • @therealkraas Why would you cut him? :(

  • I love how Jeeves always question's Bertie's clothing. XD I love Jeeves!!

  • I'm told that Mr. Freddie "he's-a-riot " Flowerdew often appears on the music hall stage in comparable attire. LOL!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Haha, I'm assuming Jeeves doesn't really like dogs. : 3

  • But as a valet he has no choice in the matter

  • Well, maybe, but remember, this is Jeeves. He dominates Bertie so much that he could probably get away with refusing to do something Bertie asked him to do. Actually, he does disobey Bertie several times in the stories- for example, when he is perched on a wardrobe in order to avoid Bartholomew and Bertie suggests that he "make a sudden spring" to subdue the dog. Jeeves flat-out refuses to do this.

  • Isn't it a laugh how embarrassed he looks when McIntosh is peeing? Ha ha.
