  • love this scene - and the song. EPIC!!!!

  • I love this part.. have any of you seen "qaf-this is war" its horrible but in a good way, it makes you think and makes you wonder how people can be so horrible, as Debbie said, "They're ignorant and scared, and there's nothing you can do about it except educate them or shoot them."

  • Yeah this is the best scene :) And the beautiful's scene are where Brain said to Justin he has miss him and where he said i love you :)

  • This was easily the best scene of the show

  • I started crying during this because I remembered just how much this show changed my life and my way of thinking. Truly groudbreaking.

  • Ha! Debbie, "You know, I haven't danced since the last CENTURY."

  • @msfraser2010 I completely agree. I'm a straight woman too and I would LOVE to see Brian and Justin be happy together forever! I was so sad when Justin left in the last episode.. :(

  • Ah....QAF. How I adored you for so many years. Had the pleasure of seeing the cast and crew since I only lived about 3 blocks from Woody's on Church St in Toronto where it was filmed. Brian & Justin forever.

  • @angel22angel

I unfortunately was unable to find anything anywhere, so I made my own (very.. well it's not going well with it) site on facebook.. Heard facebook changed stuff, so yeah :D It's called "We want a Queer as Folk movie" (fuuu, so original, right?) Join if you wanna :D

  • Does anyone know the song during the end. Reply to me please.

  • @TargetedPrince New Order - True Faith

  • I loved season 3 so much. It had such a gratifying ending. Dancing in the streets, Michael standing on his own, Brian giving up everything to do the right thing, and let's not forget Justin's awesome hair!! <3

Gale's face when he's trying to mind meld with Justin is just... epic. :)

  • I love this scene! Also the part where Justin and Brian hugged, I love how tightly Brian held Justin. Awww :)

  • QAF.... Net flixing it again... to watch it all over again.... This was by far my favorite scene

  • Stockwell voted this down 8 times

  • absolutely!!! the best of the best,... I love Queer As Folk

  • I would have to agree with the title! Perfect song too!

  • Absolutely the best scene ever! Years later and it still feels the same. I literally shiver when it goes from black and white to colours. So meaningful and powerful. I cry and smile every time I watch it. Brings back so many wonderful memories.

  • I was watching this with some friends, and my fist went up in the air so high, I actually punched one of them in the jaw. This scene was AMAZING!!!!

  • i remember like almost crying when i saw this. it's magic, no other words for it. just magic.

  • Brian looks at Justin with so much adoration it makes my heart melt.. Of course until Justin looks back at him and he makes a joke about mind control powers. But hey, the look of love waaas there.

  • awe!! I cried when it was tv years ago...and I cried again now!!...fucking awsome scene!! :)

  • The AIDS virus is too complex and too difficult to follow as it constantly Mutates on it's own and is almost impossible to find a cure for.I read years ago that the original simian viris that is it supposed to have come from was almost harmless to chimps, but deadly to people. but it was near impossible to transfer to people by natural Transmission metholds including by a Money Bite. Aids had to be engineered in a Laboratory and been meant to infect people on purpose.Nature would have blocked it

  • @Roadracer987654321 it coould have been stopped... if you watch the documentry or read the book (i recomend both) "AND THE BAND PLAYED ON' You'll get so pissed off at the government you'll be holding your breath... i get pissed typing about it;; omg *tears* it's all documented in gov't papers-- they let it go on purpose thinking it was a "gay disease" you can get the book on amazon or a used bookstore;;or reg bookstore-- film is a documentry rent it /???? wherever but everyone-- should do it

  • I love this scene too ... But the part where I love the most is Prom Dance scene... Totally the most Romantic part of QAF... That is where Brian realises his loves for Justin...

  • I love Debbie. She like my mom!

  • I love Debbie she is Just Wonderful, Mother, and Hero at the same time

  • this is just.. MAGIC :) i love this SO much! I still watch the episodes :) good to have at least the episodes to remind me of good old qaf days ♥

  • Comment removed

  • Debbie is the most wonderful movie-hero ever!!!!!!

  • This scene never ceases to leave a permanent smile on my face. I think it changed the whole intensity, and the meaning of the show. To me, it most definitely is the best scene in "Queer As Folk" history. It basically says that no matter who you are; Gay, Straight, or undecided. You CAN make a difference and you CAN stand up for what you believe in. No matter what it takes. Truly well done. What I would do to have this show back on the air for another season <3;xoxo

  • Great scene!!! However, the last few minutes of the first episode ("Last Dance") would definitely be another contender for best QAF scene.

  • 1:59 very sound advice!

  • This was the first scene of this show I've ever saw. It was just the other night. Now I'm hooked!

  • ditto

  • Love it ... the gay vote will always be on the down-low ... but when needed ... we will be there to tip the scales ... so don't under-estimate our power. :)

  • lol yup

  • Definately best scene!

  • Undoubtedly the best scene. Powerful!

  • I love this scene because of Debbie, she's so funny!

  • one of my fav parts is how at first the streets are grey and it slowly comes back into color.

  • I love this scene! Debbie's the best crowd-wrangler ever.

  • Yeah I love this scene, so awesome...but I think its tied with the scene of Michael dressing up as a woman for Emmet at Gay pride lol...that epsiode was awesome!

  • That one is pretty damn cool, yeah. Is that the "Hey, Stud" one with Brian and Justin, too? And Michael kissing that idiot he works with?

  • yeah it was really good, I have all 5 seasons. I am gay myself and these kind of shows give ya reassurance that there are good people out there that accept people for who they are. I was close to tears near the series finale when that thing at Babylon...I won't ruin it for people but it was amazing how they did it...plus that song by cyndi lauper Shine is amazing!

  • I think that was one of the first episodes of QAF that I ever saw. It's always been on TV really late here, on week-days, so when that first aired, I was like...12, 13, maybe? Suffice to say, I became a master of evading bed-time. There was a lot of 'straight-people-suck' (mostly by Brian), which was really overdone, but I think it kind of NEEDED to be, just to get some of the straight audience to take a good look at themselves, and at others, you know? All themes were done brilliantly, though.

  • I don't think it was for the straight viewers' benefit, Brian was just a heterophobe.

  • Haha, I totally agree, but I think it just sort of had that effect sometimes. I mean, any show with so many main characters tends to show the extremes of personalities just because they can. I think the difference between QAF and a lot of shows is that QAF's extremes had a message in some way or another.

  • The song is True Faith by New Order. Great song!

  • yes i tottally agree with you this is the best scene

  • whats the name of the song?

  • What a perfect song choice, this would be a fantastic season finale, but it was the end to a great season.

  • SEASON 03

    EPISIODE 14

    :)

  • WHAT SEASON?

    WHICH EPISODE?

  • yes the one where he say's that he loves him is fantastic, but so is this one .. there are so many gorgeus scenes so i can't pick one favorite! i just love Brian Kinney and Justin Taylor so much ..

  • This scene was nice but, in my opinion, the best was when Brian and Justin hug each other and Kinney said that he loves Justin. Almost in the end of season 5...

  • i really cant understand what happeneD..

  • Watch the season! lol

  • i have more than one favourite scene but this is amazing. everytime i watch it i cannot stop smiling.

i hope to see something similar in italy one day.

  • i love the face of Brian , for once he cares about something else than him, and show it

  • he cares because he put alot of money into the commercials and his career on the line lol it was a sigh of relief!

  • I agree, that's the best scene ever.

  • This scene totally reminds me when Obama won. Everyone was happy in the streets and partying. I'll never forget it. :-)

  • and 3 years later, the country is destroyed because of his incompetence and inexperience

  • Yup, this totally describes Bush.

  • Best scene of all 5 seasons! I love it so much, it really does make me so Proud!! :)

  • This is truly a beautiful scene.

  • OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this scene!!!!!!!! This truely is THE best scene in QAF history!!!!

  • This scene still brings tears (of joy) to my eyes but I think the prom scene remains my favorite.

FYI-You can watch the whole series at surfthechannel(.)com.

  • THe prom is the best

  • I agree that was an awsome scene...very well rounded....man do I miss QAF....as I watched this video, I thought..WOW!!!! Thank god for youtube....lol

  • Whats the name of the song at the end? please tell me jejeje I just lovit!!

  • The song is True Faith.

  • There should be a movie, to wrap everything up, maybe make it 5 years into the future and B&J would be together and everyone would be happy! There should be an online petition, come on, fans, we can do this. I will sign it! Scott Lowell told fans on his site to be active and attack Showtime with requests until all actors are too old to undress again...

  • @Yfqc I think exactly the same!!

come on! is never to late. They must to make Queer as Folk th Movie

  • @Yfqc

I will fight till the end! Where do I sign up? :D

  • @Yfqc Alot of the actors that did QaF didnt want to do anymore seasons, and showtime didnt wanna do it anymore... it wasnt a very popular show.... people were 50/50 on this show, some couldnt stop watching it, others didnt get past the first 3 episodes... me being a fan, i felt alot of the episodes did sometimes got alittle dry....

  • @Yfqc Sex and the City ruined everything for me. Everybody want QAF the movie just because they're unhappy about the end. But what if the movie is bad? I don't want it ruined. Plus if you're sad about Justin and Brian in the last episode, just think that they were together during almost the entire show. I prefer that than see the main couple apart for years and back together just for the final episode like most of other shows do. (sorry for my english)

  • @Sharleen974

I think like you. No movie ...qaf tv show for ever!!!

  • @Yfqc I WISH NEW QUUER AS FOLK COME AND SAW US HOW THE LIFES OF THIS GHYS IS TODAY!!!!

  • @Yfqc Anyone made a facebook group yet?

  • @Yfqc As much as I would love a QAF movie, It's impossible. The entire series has been based on trying to get Brian to admit his feelings and he did, so what else is there to fight about? And lets face it, Brian and Justin would fight... They always do.

  • @carlton921 I agree. I wouldn't want a QAF movie. I think that's a terrible idea. The show said all there is to be said about these characters IMO. And the ending is perfect. What they could do is to have something like a QAF spinoff, with entirely new characters, set in current time, with the current challenges that gays are facing....(the recent wave of seemingly worsening gay bullying and gay teen suicides/Prop 8 overturn/Michele Bachmann, etc.), BUT, with the old cast as guest stars.

  • iv lived with a mother...its a fate worse than birth lol

  • lots of nostalgia with this clip (probably my #1 fav QAF episode): I came out the same year this episode aired, so whenever I see the shot of the rainbow flag colorizing, I seriously get choked up.

  • @treadlitely Thats brilliant! And what a wonderful scene to represent that and what great timing for you! =]

  • They all had Brian to thank for that.

  • that make me laugh lol.....its fun

  • je suis ENTIEREMENT d'accord !!! Best scene !

  • i wish the series would have ended here D:

  • i dont wish that but i def wish justin and brian would have had at least a hint at a future relationship.

  • une des Scene la plus inoubliable !!!

  • c'est vrai que c'était bien cette scene... je suis trop nostalgique de cette série jamais je n'en retrouverais une pareille et je n'arrête pas de pleurer.

  • Anybody know the name of that song? I heard it on the radio earlier, but didn't quite catch the name.

  • It's New Order-True Faith:)

  • Comment removed

  • am i just hearing things or did debbie say "im gay....and white!" as she was running out of Woody's?!?!?!

  • LMAO SHE DID SAY IT

  • Never heard it before

    Lmao x'D

Btw, one of my favorite scenes too =) I was so happy that stockwell didn't win *dances*

  • SO TRUE. BEST SCENE EVER

  • Tears of happiness ;-)

  • great ending!

  • Hear hear. It's always been one of my favorites too. It's one of the absolutely perfect QaF scenes.

    Wouldn't change a bit.

  • Let that flag fly baby!!

  • Ok.. this was good but my top three were the airplane scene with Emmit, When Drew kisses Emmit on TV and The last scene with Micheal talking.. it makes me cry everytime.

  • we got to do it we got to get reconized we are the future.

  • i always cry at that scene. i don't know. it is just so... yeah. :D love it.

  • deffo

  • I loved it! It is brillant actually. I love this show.... What Episode was this?

  • Could someone tell me if the new Mayor was gay or he supported Gay Rights. I never saw this episode.

  • We don't know. We only know that Stockwell was a huge homophobe and it was his main goal to rid Liberty Avenue of gay outness. If that makes sense XD But everyone celebrates, not because of who won, but because of who lost.

  • This part has by far the best quote that I have ever heard and try to live by "Mourn the losses because they're many, but celebrate the victories because they're few"...I love it!

  • You took the words right out of my brain!

This is my #1 FAVORITE quote from the 5 years...and there were MANY! Sharon is absolutely PERFECT! and if you watch the credits, this and my most favorite episodes were directed by Kelly Makin. I need to thank him!!

  • this was awesome they have to do something about the ban in California. CHURCHES are alway's sticking their nose's in everything of THE GOV'T I think All of us should inandate the Political offices and the Morman church. We are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers aunts, uncles, grandparents. Hey we are lawyers, teachers, judges, nurses, and doctors and we are soldiers men and women who fight and die for our country. CHURCH AND GOV'T SHOULD NOT MIX. We s/h the right to live our own lives.

  • hell yah!!! i watch that over and over again, and i can't help but to always feel joy...by the way, what the the outcome of prop 8? VOTE NO!!!

  • You don't know? Prop 8 passed. Sucks, huh? =/

  • what's Prop 8??

  • are you serious? you are greatly behind on the news.

  • haha sorry i forget to tell you

    that i live in Mexico...oops

    ;P

  • Prop 8 was a proposition to ban the recently-allowed gay marriage in California. It passed, and now gay marriage is no longer legal. C'mon, I'm in Scotland and I know this. =P

  • yeah but...c'mon it's Mexico hahaha

    it passsed?..shit! :@

    sorry, it's like...pff

i don't even know how to explain it

    that sucks!

    Thanks for the info ;D

  • I love how Brian seems to sort of bury his head in his arm for a sec as if to say "thank FUCK for that! I'm not in debt for no reason..."

  • Let me just say, after Obama won last Tuesday, there were soo many people in the streets, and it this scene reminds me of it. I go to college in Pittsburgh too.

(We had police and K-9 units holding us back though)

  • Love this song! And i LOVE the boys!!!

  • It is indeed teh best scene, i just love it

  • this show still comes on

    on logo

    if you have comcast tv

    its channel 163

  • I live in California and am hoping we will pass Prop 8. Im really hoping someday, a gay marriage will be legalized nation wide in the US.

  • no no no! you're supposed to vote NO on prop 8 to keep gay marriage legal. prop 8 eliminates their rights.

  • yea, I meant No on Prop 8.

  • Definitely one of the best scenes...gorgeous. Miss this show so much T.T! (thanks for posting though!)

  • great show! i miss it.

  • me 2

  • That is indeed one fabulous scene =)

  • This entire cast, producers, directors and Showtime need to be thanked for this incredible contribution they gave us. They are all OUTSTANDING and Debbie (Sharon Gless) is beyond OUTSTANDING! Thank you!!!

  • Gay men are so much awesomer than straight men. :( You can't find any decent ones around anymore. I wish I was a guy so I could turn gay... -_-''' Grr... Damn chromosomes...

  • turn into a dyke, instead! :P

  • LOL yeah you'd like that. I'm a dyke but I wish I was a gay man! I wanna be able to go to clubs and be surrounded by hot chicks. Too bad lesbians stick to bars and it's like half hot, half not.

  • I couldn't agree with you anymore! Gay men play the best music & have the best parties.

  • No one has the ability to "turn gay", just so you know.

  • ohh yeah, really is the best, in the moment i saw the scene, I am greatly excited, i'm sorry my english

  • god.... i'm so proud to be gay jejeje...

  • your not alone on that one^^ yay 4 being gay^^!!!

  • i LOVE this scene.

  • oooh i got goosebumps when they hang the rainbow flag

  • Awesome. I've been looking for this, and I stumbled upon it. I used to have the 3rd season of QAF, but I lost it when I moved. Thank you for posting this.

  • amazing. absolute fave.

  • I totally agree with this being the best scene. I have watched it over and over! Does anybody know this song that was played during this?

  • The name of the song is "True Faith" by the band New Order. This was a BIG dance hit in the Eighties.(haha, I'm really dating myself!) New Order had a slew of dance hits including "Bizarre Love Triangle" and "Blue Monday", which was later remade by Orgy. The videos are all on YouTube. chuck

  • Thanks for the info. Loved the show. I grew up in the 80s and thought that the song was from that era!

  • But actually this is a remake that was performed back in 1994. It's included in The Best of New Order as True Faith '94. That's the version played here. Fits in well with this scene.

  • I LOVE this episode. they are so good together, i envy Randy in every scene he is with Gale!!

  • Really? I would envy Gale for being with Randy...

  • Randy is just to young for me.:) To me Randy is cute and sweet and Gale is hot and sexy but i could watch them both for hours.

  • it was a good scene but the best are the sex between brian and justin moments

  • I love the part where Brian is hugging Justin in the bar. Brian/Gale just looks like he gives the best hugs<3 I notice that every time he hugs someone x'D

  • 'My God have you no respect for authority? The law?' XD I lvoe Brian's face as he said that! Also as he coks an eyebrow while 'mindcontroling' Justin. They are so cute! 'Not everything' Aw! Then the look Brian gives him, Justin mocking him too, grinning as they walk down the steps! Hee I love them!!! -squee- 'I've lived with a mother, it's a fate worse than birth' Brian! ^^ Justin oh so casually makes sure Mikey is gone! =P Saw that Sunshine! Ending with a sweet B/J is always fantastic! ^^

  • You HIT it right on the head!!!

The BEST writers, directors, producers and actors. They are the BEST !!!

  • one of my favorite scenes <3

  • i love this episode!!!
