when you changed it relative, the border/box around the text stretched across the entire screen, even though you didn't change the values of it. why does it this happen?
You know, you start on javascript and get drawn back to HTML, in these tutorials, I've learned more than I have in the past 3 years about HTML. I didn't know half of this stuff, and my code looks so much better. :) Thanks Bucky.
His programming tuts are amazing. I didn't really understand programming until I watched his stuff. When I did, all those concepts came together in my head. It was awesome.
on my webpage i made myself ( david.meq.at ), if i open it with firefox then the menu on the left is normal but when i open it with internet explorer its like the padding is set to 10 or so.
@HDMix well it's actually optional. ID is used for only one element which is suitable for paragraphs or anywhere you use will use them, while class can be inherited by any element but your browser don't tell if there's an error even if you used them incorrectly, the only way to determine it is by using a validator like the w3c validator.
@HDMix You can use whichever you prefer. Just remember if you use class then use (.) in css and if you use id use #. It works for me anyway, if i'm wrong someone correct me :)
omg! i have wached 36 tutorials - i had never wached more than 5 or 6 before . Thanks a lot Bucky!!! You are making people lifes better and pleasant!

what is the advantage of using ID over class???
Raysyedrocks 6 months ago
@Raysyedrocks a id is unique only one element can have a id, class isn't so you can couple it to different elements

How come you used "id" for paragraphs? I thought classes were for paragraphs and misc, whereas id is meant to be used on divs.
