  • Excellent foot work, amazing expressive eyes and body movements exceptionally reflective of her Bharatanatyam skills at this age is simply devine to watch this angel expressiing the lyrics in every way at this age is nothing short of just a miracle.

Sure she must be a famous dancer by now from where ever she is from and she should be a devine gift to her parents.

  • Wow, amazing. She dances so elegantly!

  • how adorable is she, and a really good dancer dancing too! beautiful arms!

  • looks like she is telling a story. What is it?

  • i love the art of indian dance..and this is so ...i dont know.

    beautiful.

she is a stupendous dancer, and i hope she continues in her talent. ^^

  • I'm a dance major and at my school we had a master Indian dancer come teach us a class. I have so much respect for it because my thighs and hands were hurting immensely after that class..There is so much you have to remember when your dancing it..like staying as low as possible. She told us it is all about story telling. :)

  • look people if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything cuz all u do is make people feel bad and do u think that makes you cool or something? no it makes you look like an ass hole ....

  • i love this dance its weird and cool at the same time all you haters she is nine who cares she likes her moves so shut the fuck up people thank you

  • she has amazing grace and a wonderful attitude when doin it

  • I wonder what her dance is telling. Those hand movements are definitely telling a story. I saw one similar to hers at a performance at the Chicago Art Institute Museum portraying one of the tales of Shiva- eh, it's been so long.

  • No she has bells on her ankles lol even I know that

  • Very good. This is very different from my traditional dance. It is beautiful seeing different things especially so colourful.

  • does she have bracelets in her legs?? I noticed the noice goes with her leg movements!!! interesting....gorgeous!!!!

  • She's great! You cannot imagine how much balance and practice a dance like this takes. So don't insult it mindlessly.

  • really awsome shes verry pretty and pikaofthechu you stupid bastard why cant you do something else than cut on this girl shes verry clever the ignorant one is you gosh dumbass...

  • She's perfect. She's so gracious! I love, love how she dances. God Bless Her!

I feel sorry for the stupid people who can't understand how beautiful this is .

  • i love her hairrrrr

  • @SuperMizzKizz boo!! how can she be ugly? she's adorable and her dancing is great!

  • @loser55poser66 shut up loser!

  • @SuperMizzKizz

Usually people who write these kind of comments are nerds whom have

    never been laid.

Or losers who will work at McDonald's for the rest of their lives.

  • awesome!

  • I'm really jealous of this little girl right now. I can't get my coordination together enough to learn the moves properly and she's doing all this like it's second nature to her. She's really good!!

  • Well, I guess my questions are about dance... I need to know what kind of dances are used for weddings? and what kind of dance is this and what is it used for?

  • beautiful girl, beautiful costume, beautiful dance!

  • Huy hermosa danza, lo haces muy hermoso con mucha dedicacion y tienes unas mudras y manejo de pies muy bonito!!! gracias por subir esta danza y compartirla con nosotros!!

  • great dance, and great post.

  • man her knees must be killing her afterwards!

  • @tismurdis If she has the right alignment and posture while in araimandi (half-sit/ plie) her knees won't hurt. The impact of her stamps will not hurt if she has the correct posture and deep araimandi. :-)

  • que linda ...que graciosa me encanto!!!

  • I am doing a project for my Music in World Culture class and I would love to know more about this song and dance. If anyone knows the meanings and what this dance is used for usually please contact me. Please be legit!

  • @kimhulsebus You can message me on Youtube for more info. :-)

  • finally a girl that looks her age. :D and nice dance!

  • Although I know nothing about Indian dancing, this caught my attention immediately & I watched it several times. The little girl is so lithe & limber & her dark eyes seem to dominate the screen. Highly entertaining.

  • I wish I knew the meaning of the signs with the hands.

  • Right, I'm not Indian and that's why I was asking. Do you know the meaning of this one?

  • @AlefBet1228 This dance style form is called Bharatanatyam, South Indian classical dance that's 3,000+ years old. This specific dance item is "Pushpanjali" which is an invocational dance to the elephant-headed god Ganesha. This item is performed first in a show to welcome the audience, musicians, etc. So it's a welcome and prayer at the same time. The words talk about the different traits of Lord Ganesha.

  • VERY CUTE

  • ia gree

  • Krishna....great performance..."khub bhalo laglo tomaar naach dekhe"...splendid...your depictions of Sri Ganesha's description is absolute...lol

  • Beautiful. We are witnessing a heavenly deva.

  • she is very beatifulllllllllllllllll very niceeeeeeee fantastico

  • FANTASTICO: [2]

  • Her hair and outfit are unusual, and there are not traditional marks on her hands and feet, like you'd normally see. Is this Bharata Natyam? If so, it's not exaclty traditional. But very good otherwise. If it's not meant to be a traditional dance, it's very intricate and pretty.

  • It is not Bharata Natyam. I thinks it is Odissi Dance.

  • @Arnarkusaga Her outfit is the typical Bharatanatyam costume for a child where the top is short and chest isn't covered. That's how you can tell if the dancer is a child or teenage girl. The hair is usually worn in a braid or bun but sometimes the hair is loose if the dancer is portraying a Goddess. In this item they may have let her hair loose just for this TV performance.

  • @Arnarkusaga The alta decorations on hands and feet may have been left out, I've seen it happen. Dancers don't always remember to put them. The choreography and song are also typical of Bharatanatyam "Pushpanjali" dances. I'm not sure what you've seen before, but there's nothing really 'unusual' about this...

  • I have seen dancers her age and younger and have never seen them dress like this. That's why it's unusual, because it's not the "usual" style you'd see. Thank you for giving me the proper term for this style of dance. It is pretty.

  • @Arnarkusaga Actually her costume is very typical for young children. If you search images online, or videos on this website for young children doing Bharatanatyam, you'll see that they wear similar costumes. The pyjama (pants) style with a small top (with a little fan on it, or this type).

  • reeally beautiful you're so cute ooo

  • myslím, že toto jsou MUDRY, svými gesty nám ta holčička vypráví nejakej příběh. Je strašně těžký se naučit, trvá to i nekolik let..

  • šikovné dieťa, veľmi

  • SHE HAS PRETTTY HAIIIR.d

  • I have never seen this before. Very interesting style of dance. thumbs up though looks great.

  • FANTASTICO:

  • Jasminduff- you are so rude.Remember she is hardlu 10 years old. I wonder how beautiful you and your kids lokk.

  • The clothing is beautifully designed and well made, the dance is intricate and subtle, the line and style like that on ancient artwork thousands of years old, the expression of face, hands and movement is quite wonderful. This is not a casual dance, but a formal dance of great cultural and historical import...and such a young artist! Thanks, from an American

  • i wonder why do alot of indians have long hair?by the way beatiful dance.

  • i do this dance 2 and mostly this hair is a wig cuz i had 2 wear a wig 2 when i danced on stage

  • @MusicInMySoul5 For many Indians it's just part of culture to have long hair. In Indian classical dance the dancer always wears her hair long, artificial hair is attached for those who have short hair.

  • wow she has very beautiful hair, she can dance very well too. congrats to her! n.n

  • wow... this girl shows amazing talent for her age

  • Nicely Done! I saw a professional performance of this type of dance recently. She is showing terrific poise and extensions of the lines of the dance. Love the eyes & facial control. Bravo!

  • are you american?

  • no, im indain actually

  • weird, cuz this is a cultural dance, and in my opinion, quite difficult to master. you're right that no one would dance like that casually.. but neither do people casually dance ballet or lyrical. i just think it's disrespectful for you to say such things.

  • it's called indian dance if you can read.

    b. this are clothes they can wear in india, like the kimono's in china.

i think she looks nice and do well. respect,

  • A. You are ignorant

    B. You are also stupid to so clearly show your ignorance

    C. Shut up

    D. Thank you

  • @pikaofthechu LMAO. Old comment, but that was funny.

  • @pikaofthechu now im confused -.-

  • @pikaofthechu ur rude and u know wat shes only 10 ur prob jellus of her

  • @pikaofthechu what do u mean

  • a. This culture is more than five thosand years old, it's from a time when you people used to wear leaves and roam in the forest like monkeys.

    b. By the way each of those hand movement means something.

    c. This dance is not a casual dance you half wit.

  • she is very graceful and has quick movements. she'll be a wonderful bharatanatyam dancer in the future

  • indian dance nice..xDDD

  • great job! wow is her hair real?

  • BELLA

  • Veryyy goood!

  • waaa... very good ar.. good girl ^_*

  • shes good

  • whoo HOOO THAT IS A GOLD MEDAL

  • Pretty good coordination for one so young.

  • why is her hair not in a braid? from what i heard that is important in the dance

  • only for some dances not this one because im from india and its not a traditional dance

  • u might be from India but what you are is ignorant. this is a traditional/classical dance "bharatanatyam". the particular item is usually performed at the beginning of a repertoire. yes if you are wearing a costume then the expectation is you tie your hair in a braid and the whole nine yards. But I have to say that she looks cute braid or no braid.

  • This comment was in response to cocolove523's comment on the dance.

  • hey just sayin but i to dance and i wasnt even that good at my age but great for her

  • Adoro dança Indiana e um dia adoraria aprender!

Essa menina é uma graça e tem futuro!!

    Parabéns

  • i've learned bharathanatyam and hav done my arangetram

and no offense but she has a lot to improve on for a 10 year old

  • tru dat, no offense tho

  • We don't know when she started learning to say "for a 10yr old'. Good job kid keep at it and perfect it. Its the dedication that counts, anga shudhi will come with practice. Atleast she is losing performance fears.

  • I have to agree with you, she is not very fluid in her movements. She must have just started this. I hope she plans to stick with it.

  • She will be great in the future . Please continue as you will ; Thank you for sharing the best show of dance .

    nutier

  • Its Crazy How AMAZING She is:)!!!!

  • She's really cute!! ^^ and she will be a great dancer some day.

  • I'm just glad to see a child devote time and energy to a wonderful art-form. Whether or not she becomes professional or "measures up" to others, she should have fun doing what she's doing. So many kids I know would rather sit on their behinds and watch television or surf the internet. Performing a dance takes courage at any age and it angers me to see people tearing her down and comparing her to others. I say good for her for coming so far and best of luck to her in the future!

  • eeww what kind of dance is this

the song is good but the dance is awful no offence

  • It is called a Bharatanatyam dance. It is thought of as one of the most difficult but most beautiful dances in the world. You obviously don't understand the sweat, tears, and training that goes into performing like that. Go do some research. Ignorant scum.

  • good job!

  • OMG i remember this dance!

bring back memories when i was 6.

    good job though!!!!!!!

    she is soo cute!

  • I think if she perfects her technique now she can become a great dancer.
