  • Most wrestlers were stronger back then, most of them came from : football, olympic lifting, powerlifting & some pro-wrestlers complete in the World's Strongest Man. Today, theres more of "prettyboy muscle" focus in WWE.

  • Paul Orndorff. Million dollar body, 10 cent face.

  • @uhrsker hahahahah

  • Paul Orndorf visited my hometown gym in 1986. He used to workout there when the WWF was in town. 405 lbs (what he is lifting here) was just his warm up weight... I once saw him deadlift 600 lbs for 2-3 clean reps.

This video is from Rowdy Roddy Piper's greatest hits (VHS)... a highly entertaining video.

  • id like to see one on orndorff and demolition i just bought the ricky the dragon one that was a real good one and the heart foundation was a real good one 2 good for my collection

  • Is he doing romanian dead lifts? Or is his form just that poor?

  • @theez14 Looks more like a stiff-legged deadlift, but they're pretty similar.

  • They should of listed orndorff as a bodybuilder

  • What video is this from?

  • this was on a vid i bought a while back...lead up to WM1 i believe...

  • @jjkrofchik This was actually from Rowdy Roddy Pipers greatest hits VHS. I still own the tape with box and all in perfect condition. Its a great tape to have and this scene is from the classic training session, they are gearing up for fighting hogan and mr. t. Pure classic! There were other tapes to at that tim. A hogan one, tag teams greatest hits, battle royals, etc. Look out for them on ebay. They are well worth the watch and very nostalgic!

  • horrible form orndorff!!

  • its not 450. There are 8- 45lb plate. Thats 405 with the bar. He was shit. Fucking 220 at best,

  • those r olypmpic plates..the colors they could b 100lbs not the gym 45plates

  • @ewok1972 He did it a whole 4 times, and bounced it....I'm with you 100%, dude's fucking shit..

  • I think training like this paid off in many ways such as when he knocked out big man Vader backstage and stomped him like a bitch. Orndorff was one of the best of his time. 1980's were clearly the best time in wrestling and now there is nowhere for the business to go but in the toilet, down the drain.

  • I'll tell you what. I hated him growing up, but that's what makes a good heel. Nobody could perform a piledriver and sell it like him. I don't know if he ever botched it and hurt anyone, but he sure made it more vicious looking than anyone else.

  • I agree that they should put out a DVD of his career. He was one of the legit toughest heels ever. I loved that jump piledriver and the way he set it up. Also loved his interview skills - he sounded angry and tough in every interview - no BS - just tells it like it is.

  • Doubt it, don't see why Vince would make a DVD of a guy who few wrestling fans under 30 remember.

  • If the WWE makes a DVD of Paul Orndorff, you can expect an Iron Mike Sharpe DVD to follow shortly thereafter.

  • Are you saying that Orndorff was a jobber. If so, then that can't be true. Orndorff is a main eventer and a legend. Mike Sharpe, well, he isn't.

  • I hear you there - sometimes I think Vince only cares about the fans under 30.

  • roughly 450 he's deadlifting with ease Paul was and still is one of the biggest bad asses of alltime in wrestling and mcmahon should have gavehim the strap. better businesss 4 mcmahon to have hoga chase him 4 the belt. Many in the business of wrestling will tell u he was the hardest all around workers' a perfectionist

  • @wirednampd2 405, not 450, and he only did it 4 times...

  • @NWpowerhouse85 them reds are 100 pound olympic weights so thats 400 right there and I dont know how heavy the blues are I Think maybe around 25 pounds so he is DL over 500

  • @KHLB516 Those are 45lb plates, and it's 405lbs, don't comment unless you have a clue.

  • @NWpowerhouse85 idk I never saw 45 pound red plates and the red plates are 55 pounds and I never saw some use different colored 45 pound plates.....My deadlift was 600 raw before I blew out my back and herniated three discs leading to my disability separation from the navy, but I can still dead over 520...get your own clue cus I never seen anyone load a bare with diff colored weights and have them all be 45 pound plates...

  • @KHLB516 Sure it was, shut the fuck up, I don't give a fuck about your pseudo internet lifts,

it requires knowledge and intelligence to get up to a 600lb deadlift, and based on how gullible and stupid you are, you obviously don't have any, they're 45lb plates, he was doing 405lbs, okay, 405, not all 45lb plates are black you fuckstick. Again, I reiterate, just shut up.

  • @NWpowerhouse85 hahaha look at you getting all amped up, hahaha intelligence to deadlift wow....so my MS with a 3.8 wouldnt count I dont know man have a good time on youtube kid....maybe I am color blind but those first two plates on each side look red to me

  • @NWpowerhouse85 25kg red plates equals 55pounds....He was also a pro football player I wouldnt say dude is F Sh## he was a world class athlete

  • but they wont cause mcmahon already made his money off of him

  • Orndorff was great, he should of won a belt in the wwf

  • Tell me about it

  • he tore a bicep tendon not long afterwards that destroyed his career.
