Good vid....I'd personally stick with using a common pen. I carry a climbing carabiner, for keys...that'll pack a punch kubaton style also. I wonder if anyone is considering rubber bullets ? From what I hear, those things hurt plenty....they may not know the difference till after anyway.
Defensive pens are too pointed and stab easily. I only carry well-rounded pens. A crush is more painful than a stab. Legally, if you stab, even with a pen, you must answer why. A pen, small flashlight, kubaton, gives a HUGE advantage in an attack that appears non-deadly. Use a "tool" and don't be bare-handed. Screw being fair. Fair is the good person wins, period.
Nice review, and very good point, Pop. We as Youtubers must be cautious indeed.
What would be something else that you recommend as a less-lethal option that can be carried in a sterile environment, like a college, not that I want to use it......
The judicial angle you mention is a tough one. If you jab somebody in the neck with that pen, you have PREPARED and were just WAITING for the opportunity to do harm. But, if you jab a guy in the neck with a Sharpie you are an average guy who just happened to have something that turned out to be a handy tool in a pinch.
@FirearmPop Don't get me wrong, I agree with being able to handle one's self. I just think it's nuts how the system works. I'm totally okay with being judged by 12, although I'm sure it wouldn't be a jury of MY peers, but rather a cross section of today's followers. On a side note, I found you via Robbie574. Really enjoying your channel.
I require a pen at work, so i bought one. It's one of the schrade tactical pens. It has been very stury if nothing else, I work as a service manager/ lead tech in an automotive shop and this baby has held up to every type of abuse you can imagine: chemicals, dropping, used as light duty punch(lol) and the damn thing still hols up strong. Customers always comment on how sturdy it feels and how nice it looks. Most people don't have any idea what it is. Best 30 dollars I've spent in a while
Great point about being able to go anywhere with it. They might still give you a problem on a plane, though. You referred to that as a non-lethal option. That isn't entirely accurate. The law sees that as lethal force. As a LEO, If someone were coming at me with that, I would be justified in shooting them.
Nice T shirt, Pop ! I should wear one two ! That's the reason I removed all my shooting videos on You tube. : ( But, on the other hand... My brother in-law Ron, is the best criminal deference lawyer in the state and he like me. lol
I just bought a brand-new shiny silver played colt tactical defense pen over the Internet for $5.00 US and I'm proud of it :)

I do carry a Tactile Pen and I love it.
I also carry it because IT IS a pen, and i use it often.
I think everyone should carry one. They're not expensive and they actually write.

@HawkLMT This is true the same goes for a gun or knife. So would you rather be judged by 12 or carried by 6?

Hi friend,
I think your better of with a pocket knife.
Greetings from Holland.

I have several of these pens and I carry one every day. My state does not allow CCW so a knife and pen is about all I can carry.
