I don't even know where to start, this movie was so well made from so many different angles. Usually, going to the kòòkica is such a passive process—you sit back and are mildly entertained—but this movie is so NOT like that, it is really great!!!

i met maynard and eric at a wine singing and eric was extremely friendly.. a very nice guy. maynard was how i expected. he said very little or maybe nothing?? but he gave a nod when i said thank you. as most people know maynard doesnt like having too much spotlight on him so i dont think its anything like having a bad attitude

MJK is a fantastic vocalist & artist, and the bands he plays for are all top quality in the day & age of recycled garbage in the music industry, but Maynard [himself] is a cynical cunt with a MAJOR inferiority complex. I had always heard about this by a bunch of people before, but it wasn't until I met him myself at a wine signing a few months ago that I confirmed it. Very unfriendly and angry little guy! I also met Trent Reznor at a Burger King in 07 and the was suprisingly very nice & cool.

I think he does that a lot better that some celebrities have - Michael Jackson, for instance. Dolly Parton, in another example.
Maynard's an artist. He has the clout enough to write his own rule book, and the sense enough to not write it in crayon. I think it's great to see.

MJK is a fantastic vocalist & artist, and the bands he plays for are all top quality in the day & age of recycled garbage in the music industry, but Maynard [himself] is a cynical cunt with a MAJOR inferiority complex. I had always heard about this by a bunch of people before, but it wasn't until I met him myself at a wine signing a few months ago that I confirmed it. Very unfriendly and angry little guy! I also met Trent Reznor at a Burger King in 07 and the was suprisingly very nice & cool.

Yeah, but Maynard was obviously "unfriendly" with you. Think about it, what would be if you were him? Signing wine all day, and listening each person's ovating to you. I hate it if it's too much, and i'm not even a "celeb".

After the hundredth negative encounter that someone has with MJK, there comes a point when you say "maybe it isn't me; maybe the guy is just a douchebag." And that's exactly the case with MJK. He wasn't just a cunt with me, he's a cunt to pretty much every other person who meets him.
How would I act if I were him? I'd realize that people travel long distances and pay a lot of money to see someone they admire and respect. The least I would do is look at them in the eye and sign an autograph!

Dunno, i've just read a comment on a certain Tool forum about someone, who experienced the same with him on a win signing, and then later he met him somewhere outdoors, and then Maynard acted much different.
So, i cant have a valuable comment here, since i havent met him (yet). ;)

I have heard of that from a few people before. Maybe it's just that he tries to maintain a certain image in public (image of a douchebag) that his fans know him for. The image we see him as in public might very well be different than his true self, however, I still think he should treat his fans with a little more respect. The guy was fucking charging me money for an autograph if it wasn't on the physical wine bottle!
