  • "I would rather be a beggar and single than a queen and married." ER

  • I REALLY LOVE THE FIL and all the songs!!!!! Thx for downloading :))

  • Anyone know what they're dancing to in that scene? Like the actual song the musicians play before this starts in?

  • Fantastic soundtrack

  • I like the movie, even though it wasn't 100% faithful to the History books I liked it. Specially because I love the fantasy genre and I absolutely adore anything monarchy related.

The dance that Elizabeth made Bess and Raleigh dance, it has a name but I forgot what it was. Who can help me?

  • @Puppenspielsmeister It's called the Volta, I think.

  • @eirene1988 Thank you :)

  • @Puppenspielsmeister I believe it was called the Volta in the movie, yet correctly it is called lavolta

  • @Puppenspielsmeister Hi there, the name of the dance that Bess and Raleigh danced to is called "The Volta". The name of the song is also commonly referred to in Italian: "La Volta", and in French: "La Volte".

I've been tryng to find that song for hours now lol. There are versions of it, but I'm particularly looking for the exact one used in the Golden Age film. Since you seem interested in The Volta, you should also look up "galliards"; they're songs of similar character.

    Good luck, cheers.

  • @Puppenspielsmeister The dance with Bess and Raleigh is called "The Volta." I hope that helps.

  • I loved the film it really showed history!

  • @Underworldfreak101 it really showed bullshit!, lol, there was no great battle, a storm saved England LMAO

  • @101ELCID darling have you read history books? you should read Elizabeth & Mary cousins, rivals, queens....

  • @Underworldfreak101 sweetheart, ive read books, Spanish books, the armada crushed nowhere near England 1/3 that is, there was no huge battle like the movie showed, the English have a habit of rewriting history

  • @101ELCID Are you sure :P The book on Walter Ryley says a completely different tale. Lets keep talking I would love to hear what you have to say you seem to be a interesting person LOL.

  • @Underworldfreak101 The portrait of Ivan the Terrible presented to the queen, was actually painted by Viktor Vasnetsov in 1897.

  • @Underworldfreak101 In 1588 Infanta Isabel of Spain is depicted as a child. In reality she was 21 by this time.

  • I didn't really like the film but the soundtrack is superb.

  • @malon102 That's exactly how I feel. :) Blatant manipulation of history, but at least it had fabulous music

  • love too

  • <3 I love it
