Yeeeeah....I think thuis game is, like, 50$ to buy the Game, then, like, 20-30$ bucks a month. Yeah, it looks pretty good but... Seriously, itisn't worth THAT much. One MAIN thing makes me say that: No safe-zones. Now, I have NO problem with PvP, but seriously, safe zones have a purpose for thier existence. Ppl who dont rly know how to fight well yet will get CREAMED. And not evry1 wants to fight, sum ppl wanna be Production. So...fuck htis game.
there is safe zones, as long as your clanless any town is a safe zone.... and if you are in a clan then you just gotta look out for people your at war with. most people that pvp alot are red, so dont even have to worry bout them.

My friend plays this game and thinks its sweet, he saws you can basically do what-ever, when-ever you want. Every tree is cut-able and every area is open. No leveled zones like in WoW. This game is pure hell in a can if you dont like PVP.

No offense to darkfall but darkfall is something , how you should NOT do it. There skill system, there gear vs skill system, there design = in my opinion very wrong and very badly designed which leads to a flawed system which leads to immersion breaking and eventually to the point that it's game breaking.
I think that mortal online will be mutch better and that i will get my hands on it before i could even get darkfall....
Darfall is produced by Adventurine which is a small Indy company. Just like with Indy films this game is of lower quality and while some people will like it, it will never see the popularity of games like WoW or Everquest.

Guilds will run these games. I hope they make it fun for the solo players somehow. 1 vs 20 twinked might not last too long. I'm also worried about the 'no rules part'. Hopefully they won't take all your stuff when you die like they do in EVE.
Sorry to tell you but yes you can be looted when you die. Its not a problem to be honest though because if you have played the Elder Scrolls games your survival counts more on your skills you have raised then your actual armour and can be obtained pretty much any where. If you die and lose your stuff in it just stalk down some one weak with a full set, kill him and take it for yourself and you should be on the right path again not to mention there is banks aswell to store your items and money.
This is what makes the game so good, it forces player run government. Anarchy does not work although some will try it, only to realize that they will be smited down by the great organizations.
This will acctualy make you feel like part of something. clans will have meaning, and you will become close with people who help you, and enemies with those who hurt you. This game will be more realistic than any other.

- Graphics doesn't play a big part, only for twits with a great specced comp.
- Everyone thinks, that making something completely new and different, but with many games it ends up in shite.
- WoW have(used to have) most of what a fantasy game needs, but AoC for example lacks it. War lacks it too.
- tbh I think an Mmo needs to have what Might and Magic or Heroes III had in the good old days. A world where you can go into mysterious dungeons or persue long quest all linked to the lore.
Easy on the WoW killing.. It was said about AoC too, but look where Aoc is now no where near WoW's superiosity, and the same goes for WAR.
For a game to outshine WoW it needs to be perfect, it needs to beat WoW on Lore, gameplay and user-friendlyness, and the overall uber-niceness of the whole world :P, and that isn't easy. Only Lotro did it by basically copying WoW's gameplay :)

If those other games you speak of are so better than Wow... why is it that Wow consists of some many servers, millions of online players, and expansions coming out left and right? Sounds like to me they're doing just fine. But personally the game is too repetitive in my opinion. Only hardcore mmo peeps are still playing. And the only reason why Wow has somewhat bad graphics is because when the game came out, the average person had dial up still, and they didn't want the servers to lag.

I play WoW because WAR just wasn't satisfying enough. WoW is my first MMO and been playing for 4 years and going on. This game looks BA. I will be there release day to try this out. no there ARE no classes, u just train in watever u want to train in, if u decide u want to do magic instead of being a worrior (even if u already trained alot) all u gotta do is learn some magic spells and ur on ur way!
well there are calsses but not a primary chose you can train whatever you want or chose a prestige class gaining acces to some things nt accesible when you don't have class but losing acces to some things that don't match your class.
There is hardly any animation. You actually swing, block, jump, parry, etc. It's more about player skill than all the other MMOs that make you auto-attack or swing in like 3 directions.
of course you don't because you love those games that you can attack shit and walk away from the computer. It doesn't register in your brain. That is fun to you.
from all the videos and pictures and text i've seen so far this game has bad graphics. I am happy that the developers are trying something new but I don't have a good feeling about it because the engine is outdated and probably won't have flowing gameplay
look dude its not going to be every crowed they have a huge huge huge map and only have about 10,000 people per server. plus not everyone will have one castle, in order to earn enough money people need to be in clans of 10 -50.
Star Wars Galaxies tried that idea already. In the beginning it was cool but it was never implemented very well. They expected the players to come up with the gameplay content for those cities, which never worked. Now planets are littered with abandoned houses and ghost towns that have no point in being there.

I think you have missed the point of this game, you aren't giving everything on a plate and you still have to work hard for in game rewards. However, the difference is that the Darkfall world is player driven, and when working in-game you will be competing against other players rather than a computer script which says you need to kill 10 more rats to win a certain sword. The rewards in this game will be cities and houses, and very rare items which players will fight over.
it looks like you get entire armor sets really early in the game, no grind at all. i like trying to find what i need, instead of just giving it to me at like lvl 10. which is one MAJOR thing i hate about oblivion, you get top notch "epic" quality armor really early. i hate that.

Being in the U.S and not knowing when the game is going to come out, I would want the game to be delayed for weeks as long as I know that the game is going to be better then it would on the announced release day.

Lolz, I'm still laughing at how you worded the red text in the beginning. "Most Hardcore Game of the Century..." is an overstatement. You forgot the "so far..." Its only been 8 years into the century remember.
Apart from that, this game looks bee-yoo-tee-ful. I just want to know if we'll be able to script add-ons. Unless they slip a manual into the DVD case, the peeps new to MMOs will have no clue what they're doing. Screen isn't complicated, but I've heard the hotkeys are.

actually i highly doubt it is lower, just because they know people ARE willing to pay 15 bucks a month for an mmo, so from a business perspective you would be stupid not to charge 15 dollars minimum a month if you are stating that this game is going to change everything we know about online gaming

no there ARE no classes, u just train in watever u want to train in, if u decide u want to do magic instead of being a worrior (even if u already trained alot) all u gotta do is learn some magic spells and ur on ur way!

well there are calsses but not a primary chose you can train whatever you want or chose a prestige class gaining acces to some things nt accesible when you don't have class but losing acces to some things that don't match your class.

There is hardly any animation. You actually swing, block, jump, parry, etc. It's more about player skill than all the other MMOs that make you auto-attack or swing in like 3 directions.

from all the videos and pictures and text i've seen so far this game has bad graphics. I am happy that the developers are trying something new but I don't have a good feeling about it because the engine is outdated and probably won't have flowing gameplay

look dude its not going to be every crowed they have a huge huge huge map and only have about 10,000 people per server. plus not everyone will have one castle, in order to earn enough money people need to be in clans of 10 -50.

Star Wars Galaxies tried that idea already. In the beginning it was cool but it was never implemented very well. They expected the players to come up with the gameplay content for those cities, which never worked. Now planets are littered with abandoned houses and ghost towns that have no point in being there.

no i like actually spending time to find somthing, grinding it out till i can use it, then applying it. yes i come from world of warcraft, and yes i come from diablo, and the old level up turn based rpgs like dragonwarrior. i just enjoy that kind of thing, i hate whne somthing is "given" to me and i didnt have to work for it

I think you have missed the point of this game, you aren't giving everything on a plate and you still have to work hard for in game rewards. However, the difference is that the Darkfall world is player driven, and when working in-game you will be competing against other players rather than a computer script which says you need to kill 10 more rats to win a certain sword. The rewards in this game will be cities and houses, and very rare items which players will fight over.

it looks like you get entire armor sets really early in the game, no grind at all. i like trying to find what i need, instead of just giving it to me at like lvl 10. which is one MAJOR thing i hate about oblivion, you get top notch "epic" quality armor really early. i hate that.
