@2492BNA Uh, no. You don't even know if you saw any gay Muslims. Most Muslims, even the gay ones, look just like everyone else. It's not like they walk around wearing pink kufis or something. Since sharia is nearly identical to the law code found in the Bible, Muslims are no more likely to face "terrible oppression" from it than they experience from Christianity or Judaism.
I don't think that "Interfaith" means that this preacher has to pray to allah, right? He preached about Jesus because he is Christian! What would you expect from him?
This preacher I know & have heard preach. He represented CHRISTIANS.
The leader of the mosque was invited but declined to show. I can't say that I blame him with Fisher leading it, but this vid is a total hack job from eric allen bell. I assume the movie will be much the same.
@SpuffDrums You are missing the point. Interfaith doesn't mean secular. The mosque leader was invited but declined. I don't blame him, but posters are faulting a Christian preacher for preaching about Jesus. Because this was an "interfaith" service, does that mean that he should lay aside his beliefs so as not to offend anyone? People have a freedom of religion, not from religion. By blasting a preacher for preaching Jesus, posters have become worse than the mosque prostesters. HYPOCRITES!
@crgunslinger You do realize that Allah is simply the Arabic word for "God", right? What do you think Arabic Christians call God? They call Him "Allah". Incidentally, they refer to Jesus as "Issa". Guess what Arabic Muslims call Jesus? The same thing. You know, it's sad watching people (like you) with no understanding of their own religion's history speak so ignorantly about other faiths.
This preacher prays, "...but, father, if there's a reason you don't have, you don't want it, then I ask that you create some kind of disturbance there where it's not dug...." And coincidentally on August 28, 2010 there was a fire. Perhaps the FBI needs to be investigating this group of individuals. I do find it encouraging, though, that only 16 people showed up to this.
In case it's not clear, I completely support the building of this Islamic Center because I support the US Constitution.
Message from my older brother Jesus as requested: ...
It does not matter where (at what place ) they build their church, mosque or any other place of worship. There is no other place for God to dwell apart from:
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body," (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
This man should asked the local Muslim to lend him a prayer rug! LOL! This is 'Amerika' . The US Constitution rocks! Therefore the Mosque will be built , If this man does not like it he can go to a reservation with the true natives of this land or go back to Europe!
My plan in the future is to actually build a place where different religions can come learn about different beliefs together and learn to appreciate all humans for their certain beliefs, as long as they are safe, and humane. I know someone would probably respond to me saying "Terrorists this Muslim that blah blah blah." But just let all peaceful religions share their faith together with no war, and just peace. Impossible? Yeah..probably.
@ac1dchr15t You might be interested in visiting an Unitarian Universalist church. I have seen them create events very similar to what you're describing. I think that your plan is amazing and I will pray that you are eventually successful in accomplishing it. It's just the kind of place that I wish my daughter could go to. I believe that the Creator will lead her to the path that she is meant to follow. My job is simply to love and accept her unconditionally.
@bintalshamsa Yes..As I have learned more about my beliefs, I have definitely come across Unitarianism. Nothing wrong at all with that there! : )..and thanks so much for your words, It means a lot and is really appreciated. I will pray for you yourself that you get all the peace and love in the world with your daughter and the rest of your family.

Why is everyone forgetting what Islam really is? 5 million killed in the Sudan... but people say Islam is run by moderates. They just threatened to kill the South Park creators for mocking ISlam. They force people all over the world by the edge of the sword... yet some in the USA say tolerance for Islam is the same tolerance for every religion. What other religion is killing people in today's world?
@thethingswe Interesting, where do you get the number 5 Million.
New research on the conflict in Sudan's western Darfur region shows that more than 80 percent of the 300,000 deaths since fighting began in 2003 were the result of disease, not violence.
@sirataalmustaqeem The question is, where in the world did you check your facts!! Wow are you off. the war is over two decades long!! The holocaust memorial museum is where I checked my facts " Lasting over two decades, the second civil war between the North and South resulted in the deaths of an estimated 2 million people and displaced 4 million others.
@thethingswe My post is the current conflict, the facts and history are correct. You never said which war, the first the second or the current. You need to be more clear when you make such statements. To clarify you were still wrong. You corrected your facts you said 5 million but you then adjusted it to 2 million.
I say Build a School to Study the Positive and Negative Effects of Organized Religion and their IN SISTENCE in; Monopolizing Access to 'God' or 'Salvation', Proselytizing by Force, Economic Domination/Coercion, Reckless Pro-Creation to Expand the Fraternity and Last but NOT Least Jewish Exceptionalism!!
I read that Greg Gutfeld plans to open a bar for gay muslim men next to the Ground Zero mosque. Now this will really be a celebration of diversity and tolerance. I think this is a wonderful idea and all those in favor of the mega-mosque should be just as enthusiastic.
@ranoir I say next to Gregs bar an all you can eat pork BBQ resturant and a paper plane gift shop so after dinner you can go next door and throw them at the mosque
@ranoir Of course, because what the world needs is more bars. LOL Look, if someone wants to build a bar next to the Muslim community center, then that's perfectly okay with me. I'm not going to be wildly enthusiastic about it, because I'd rather drink my liquor at home instead of paying three times as much for something watered down. However, gay bars can be a lot of fun sometimes, so I'd probably visit if someone invited me. So, there ya' go. We can even have a toast to diversity and tolerance.
100s are Muslims that died! thousands of US born Muslims fighting & die over seas for our country. How far away is nearest Christian church to Oklahoma city bombing it was a Christian repub who killed all those people including 3 unborn fetuses. Dirty Christian repubs we should hate them all right? Hate needs to stop some where! if the Repubs act like radical Binladin we cant stop them we watch the hate & evil they pray Obama's death Sharon angel wants to shoot unarmed in DC. forgive them lord.
@repubtodem This attitude you all libs have that we have to bow down to muslims because we can't offend them, and it's okay for you all to offend us Christians all the time is going to end. If you all don't stop your hatred for Americans, Christians, and good people, then your end will come very soon. Stop your hatred of us and stop offending US. We are people too. We have rights too. If this offends most Americans, you tolerant intolerant bastards should respect that, but you don't respect jack
You think as victims family & understand how they feel. Then extreme here, tea party & way right being cut from the same hate cloth as Binladin & al-Qaida I mean pray Obama death isn't the same as binladin & al-Qaida? We head for same results hate!!.Bible study the way it suits you & not the way it is to be read is the way binladin has his extremists group read the Koran.. I do not think all our Christians are cut from the cloth of hate. Many Christians are good same is true for Muslims.
Not only were people of other religions besides Christianity not invited, but I can tell you having been there that they would not have had an opportunity to speak / participate. This was a fire a brimstone sermon and a prayer to Jesus. Period.
It was a failed publicity stunt on the part of Kevin Fisher and certain opponents of the mosque to seem like they are inclusive. The real fact remains, beneath all of the conspiracy theory and rationalization is a notion of religious superiority.
@EricAllenBell Your right. Muslims feel their religion is morally superior to everyone elses and they let you know this by killing everyone that doesn't share their sadistic views. It's time to reap what you all sew. You want to talk about tolerance, why don't you talk about the Christians being slaughtered in Africa, all over the world by crazy muslims. The only people that are intolerant are muslims. You all get no more sympathy because everyone knows you all muslims want to dominate everyone
The terms interfaith or interfaith dialogue refer to cooperative and positive interaction between people of different religious traditions (i.e., "faiths") and spiritual or humanistic beliefs, at both the individual and institutional level with the aim of deriving a common ground in belief through a concentration on similarities between faiths, understanding of values, and commitment to the world.
You can read more about it on the wikipedia page for the definition of interfaith.
First off, I would like to say that I was there for this sermon, and you can clearly see me sitting on the bench in this video. This was NOT an interfaith sermon. Eric was right. It didn't have to do with the people that showed up, it has to do with the content of the sermon. When the entire sermon is based around jesus christ, and constantly inferring that the muslims are the "opposition", that is not interfaith.
Remind me what we suggested on facebook, about him inviting Imams and Rabbis and Wiccan High Priestesses, because I don't think he did it. Massive fail, Kevin. Massive fail. This is not "interfaith."
@2492BNA Uh, no. You don't even know if you saw any gay Muslims. Most Muslims, even the gay ones, look just like everyone else. It's not like they walk around wearing pink kufis or something.
